I had a very good experience with them. They were on time, very pleasant, responsible, and professional. So far, I have been very impressed with their entire operation. I would definitely use them again. I took three different bids, and I felt these people were the most dedicated and professional. All the people I talked to seemed knowledgeable, but these people just seemed to be really very committed to the work they do and to customer satisfaction.

Rob and his crew were great! After four days we had a new driveway and patio. Rob discussed every area of work and then put it in writing with a contract. They were on time, did exactly what we asked and more. The work site was always clean and every morning I was greeted with a smile. We highly recommend Affordable Concrete.

No show for work is a poor start.

I got Rob's information from Angie's List and I am extremely happy. Rob gave me an estimate shortly after I called. He was professional at all times, returned my calls, made a couple of suggestions, and went above and beyond what I expected. His crew spent part of 3 days preparing my backyard for a large concrete patio. There was quite a bit of digging and the moving of a sprinkler box. Because Rob was so professional, my husband (also a very picky contractor) asked him to pour a slab for a storage shed. We are extremely pleased with both our huge concrete patio and the storage shed slab. Rob did not bump up the estimate the day of the pour. In fact, he said they would arrive at 7 am and the first of his team arrived at 6:59 am!!!! They really worked to finish the patio professionally and it looks GREAT. We are so pleased with Rob's work that we will gladly recommend him and use him again. We will re-do our driveway soon and Rob will definitely get our business.

It went very well. They answered our questions as they went along and were friendly and approachable.

I called him and described the job to him. He indicated that if I wanted to measure the concrete area to be replaced and call him back he would glad to give me a quote over the phone, but it sounded like the job was too small for him. He indicated that he had a $780. minimum for his work and I was to far away. I told him that I wasn't sure how much concrete needed to be repaired or replaced, and that's why I needed someone to look at it. He once again indicated that he would be happy to give me a phone quote. I thought his minimum comment was particularly strange, because according to a Feb. 2010 report he did that job was $600.

Great! They did what they said they would and when I was able to see it a month later it was nice. I currently live out of state and having Rob do the job gave me peace of mind knowing it would be done right.

I called Affordable and talked to Rob. Based on measurements given over the phone, he gave me a ballpark estimate. It was reasonable, so he arranged for his son, Robert, to come to my home for a more specific number. I was a bit surprised at the difference in the numbers, but realized that a description of the shape of the porch was difficult to understand over the phone. I agreed to the final number and work was scheduled for the following week. Rob, his father Bob and the crew arrived on time and began removal of the old porch. Discovering that wire mesh AND rebar were in the old porch, added additional charges, which I had misunderstood from my initial discussion. Work went smoothly and the only delay was due to bad weather predictions. The final porch is very satisfactory and met all my expectations. Due to a truck mishap that caused a crack in my driveway, I was offered a large discount on the replacement of the driveway, whenever I decide to do that. I felt that it was a generous offer and will ultimately take them up on it.

The crew went over and above my expectations. They didn't just pour the concrete flat, they put a slight slope on it which I didn't even ask for but this put the concrete closer to the level of my grass which made for a much better job. Also, they worked around me putting a sprinkler line under the sidewalk they were tearing out. They cut the section I needed first, then worked on the rest while I ran the sprinkler line. I am very picky, but they did a great job! Their clean up and finishing was superb. Great price and great quality work!

The experience was very positive. They were very pro-active. They came and looked at the project and had an estimate that day. It was lower than I thought it would cost. By 5 o'clock the next day the porch was done. I was very satisfied with the work.

Robert gave us an estimate in the Spring but we waited till Fall to do the work. We felt his estimate was very affordable and even though the price went up a little by fall, we still felt it was very competitive. They came out and took out the old section, leveled, etc. and poured the new driveway section. They were very professional and prompt. Everything was great!

The service was good. The one issue I had was that they could of been a little more careful around the window wells of the basement but the final product looked great.

An estimate of cost was completed one day after the company was contacted. Work began within a week and took two days to complete. All debris from the job was removed immediately upon completion. The new driveway and walkway look wonderful and the overall cost was considerably less (by $500.00) than the cost of our neighbor's new driveway, which is the same size and is already 3 years old, plus our cost included the walkway and theirs did not.

They were very timely with getting back to us about an estimate and then coming back to do the job after we accepted their bid. Work was completed in 1.5 days. The crew was very polite and cleaned up well when they were through. So far the driveway looks great. Also removed a large dirt pile for us while they were there with their tools.

They did a great job. All of the people on the crew were very personable and pleasant.

I spoke with Robert on Saturday morning to have someone estimate the cost of a new concrete patio. Robert was unable to make an appointment, but said he would likely be able to come over the same day around 12 or 1. Robert called back at around 2 on Saturday afternoon to tell me he could not make the appointment. Not a problem. He told me he would call me on Sunday to set something up. Again he was unable to make a firm commitment. He called on Sunday and sounded as if he had a lot going on and I told him that I wasn't in a big hurry and that he should just suggest a time that he could make. Instead he insisted on squeezing me in on Sunday. I said great. He told me we would be at my house within 30 minutes. He later called and said something had come up and he wasn't going to make it. It was at this point that I told Robert that I would not be able to work with him. He offered a discount on his services if I would meet with him, but I felt it wouldn't be worth the hassle.

Work was performed on time and as agreed upon. The end result looks great!

Rob, the owner, came to give me an estimate on removing and replacing cement for rough in plumbing. He said he would get back with me later in the evening. He did not. I called him the next day and left a message. He did not return my call. That was on Sat and I called him again on Monday and left another message. No response. He does not have the decency to return my call and I would not trust him with any work. Very unprofessional.

Job was completed promptly and professionally, very pleasant to work with.

The patio and the walkway look great. I am very happy with the results. The only thing I have noticed is that a couple of jobs they did for some neighbors of mine started to get some cracks. I guess that is because concrete is not so reliable, but they went back to fix it right away so that is good. At least I have not had any problems yet myself.

Got a fast bid, the work was scheduled--without having to wait a long time, and the work was done in half a day.

Robert Hoffschneider promptly returned my call and arrived to give me an estimate shortly after that. He explained that he thought settlement of the driveway had caused the damage. He told me what he could and could not fix, the timing of the job and his price, and we scheduled the work for the following week. His team arrived on time and completed the job on time. Robert returned to explain how I should care for the new cement over the next week and to collect payment.

Robert returned my call for an estimate promptly. He was at my house within minutes of his appointment time and gave me a price for the job on the spot. I was never pressured when I told him I had another two estimates scheduled. When I called and told him I was going with his company, we scheduled the work to start within a couple of days. His crew was on time and the work was done exactly as he said it would be done. We modified the original layout of the new part a bit and the additional price was very reasonable. Overall it was done the way things should be done. I'm very pleased with whole experience of working with Robert and would call him again for any additional concrete work I need.

I couldn't be happier with the work done by Robert at Affordable Concrete. They were professional, came early, finished on time, and left a fantastic finished project. When I called initially to get the quote, Robert came over that day to see things and give me a quote.
