Robert came out and gave us an estimate on the job. Said he could not guarantee that the patio would come out OK but he had the best products so if anyone could do it he could. The first stripper he used did not work so we had to pay an additional $400 for a new stripper that was guaranteed. He then sealed the patio and stained and sealed a slab on the south side of the house. At first it all looked good. He told me over the phone the patio looked good as new as we were not home when he completed it. Then in late May we began to notice that the patio was getting white spots on it and it looked like the stain and sealer was coming off the slab. We sent him pictures and an e-mail on 06.06.14 again on 08.05.14 when he responded that he would come out and look at it and get in touch with his supplier. He also suggested that we may need to re-seal it and I indicated at the time that we did not want to spend any more money as we had already spent over $3000. No word as of today so we sent recent pictures and another e-mail. Please see attached pictures of our issues.

Original quote was November of 2013; work performed March 2014. The delay was on my end due to change and addition of original quoted work (as well as winter weather conditions). My original quote was with Tom - on time, courteous, and answered all my questions. Both Tom and Robert kept in touch through out the time frame of quote and completion of work. They were very professional even with the work changes and additions. The sidewalk was framed and poured in one day. I am very happy with the results, loving the look of the new walkway which goes from my driveway, around the side and back of the house. I love it that this is a family oriented business with family members doing my job. Thank you so much Robert and Tom! I have already recommended and passed out several of your business cards to several people.

It went very well. They kept us informed of the schedule and what to expect each step of the way.

A+ work. I contacted 5 companies - all but 1 from Angie's list - and this was the only company that promptly called me back. Tom showed up at the designated time to give a bid. He explained everything that they would do and a time frame. The day before, I received a phone call informing me what time they would show up and they did - every day. They had a very large crew and they worked non-stop. The job was actually completed a day earlier than I had been told. Robert answered all of my questions and will be coming back (my neighbor is going to use them too) to fix a few minor things. I have never, in the 28yrs I have lived in my home, had better service. I am so impressed with their professionalism - I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing concrete work. Beautiful work!

Robert and everyone we dealt with at Affordable Concrete was very responsive throughout the process. Ours was primarily a demolition project and Robert provided by far the most detailed and comprehensive estimate. They weren't the absolute cheapest quote, however we had a feeling the and quot;cheapand quot; quotes would end up being riddled with additional surprise costs. Our existing and quot;backyardand quot; was a mess of cracked and crumbling concrete and we hired Affordable Concrete Work to demo and remove it all in preparation for landscaping. They also cut and removed part of our front porch as well as removing and re-laying the sidewalk paths near the house and garage. The laid sidewalks look terrific and all drain appropriately away from structures. ACW worked seamlessly with our fencing contractor since both the new front and back gates cross the newly laid sidewalk paths. Our project was not a straightforward one. It turned out that much of our existing concrete had been poured EXTREMELY thick (think 18-24and quot;)with much larger rebar reinforcement than is standard. This in effect doubled or tripled the amount of work and hauling for ACW. Luckily, Robert had informed us up front in his estimate on what the additional costs would be if the concrete exceeded a certain depth. There were no surprises in the final bill, and in fact since we had so much unexpected concrete ACW actually gave us a pricing concession on the amount they charged us for the overage. Despite the fact that our little project was bigger than expected the entire ACW crew was always professional, friendly and finished the project on time. Overall we were very satisfied with Affordable Concrete Work and would definitely recommend using them.

The patio turned out just beautiful! Our only suggestion is we have three french doors going out to the patio, these were not sealed by plastic, so I did have to wash the inside and outside of each door because of the dust from the color and the concrete saw, which would have been avoided had the doors been covered in plastic.

Robert was very responsive and came to meet soon after I called, which was in early August. I called back about a week after our meeting to schedule and was placed on the list for a future date TBD by Robert's busy schedule. I waited for a call for weeks and, when that call came, that date turned out to be in November. The crew was punctual and courteous in general, but there were some concerning items regarding the project. The clean up wasn't terrible, but it wasn't the best. I had to clean up after them in several places. More importantly, the crew seemed to prioritize quickly finishing the job, rather than quality. They also struck and noticeably damaged the neighbors fence with their equipment but didn't say anything about it. My neighbor was understandably not pleased. I provided the Affordable's phone number and helped my neighbor with the repair. More recently, I've needed to patch a few small spots where the concrete has started to degrade and I've noticed cracks starting in spots away from the expansion joints. I purposely waited to write this review to see how the driveway held up after a little time. All things considered, I will utilize a different contractor for concrete work in the future.

The experience was excellent. They did exactly what they said they would. We replaced our driveway with a new one with colored concrete to match our flagstone, I was worried that the colors would not match but it was a perfect match! I have already referred them. When they say they are family owned its true. The crew was mostly of their family and their work reflected their family pride in their business.

Robert did a excellent job, I'm very satisfied. Initially, he arrived promptly, described the service provided, discussed options and procedures. We agreed on a price, and the work was done on time, and as agreed. Robert is a straight shooter, does what he says, is honest and takes pride in his work. It's the same old story, you get what you pay for. His prices are fair, his work, excellent. If your looking for cheap, shoddy work, look someplace else. If you want quality at a fair price, hire Robert.

purchased a coupon online for the provider from angies list only to find out that he had a 2500.00 minimum which was not included in the fine print of his coupon. felt misled.

Every employee was polite, efficient and professional. They showed up on time, did the job, cleaned up and left. There was absolutely nothing to complain about.

Eric and his crew came out Friday afternoon and broke out the old concrete porch steps, and replaced them the next morning with new concrete steps. They were very professional, and completely cleaned up after they were done. I highly recommend them if you need concrete work.

Out of 3 beds, Robert was the most reasonably priced. He was very knowledgeable about the services we needed. This is a family owned and operated business, which appealed to us. Crew was on time or early, friendly, and did an outstanding and efficient job.

Fall of 2015, I was attempting to get this work done. However, it was also a booming time in Denver for new construction. I could not get the 3 quotes I wanted, because everyone was so busy. Affordable Concrete did come and give me an estimate, but I initially thought their prices were a bit high. I did finally get several estimates, but could not get anyone to come to actually do the work. In February 2016, however, Affordable Concrete reached out to me and, after discussion, lowered the price. The workers are really all family, and I really appreciated their work ethic, kind attitude, and professionalism. I know there are different prices now, but this company does the best job comparably. I will just call them for all my future concrete needs!

My experience was overall positive, the bid was not the best price, but had a very detailed explanation of the work, and clearly was not cutting any corners (don't let the name fool you). As they say, you get what you pay for. I typically go for the medium priced bid with the highest quality, and that is exactly what they gave me, the only reason they didn't get my business is that I have a habit of always wanting to pay for work I schedule, and unfortunately it was out of reach at the time. I will be calling them again when I actually have enough money to do the job right.

Buyer Beware.... At the end of March, 2015, Affordable Concrete Works (ACW) removed an old sidewalk by my garage and poured new concrete for a new sidewalk. My estimate for the sidewalk alone is $2,000 as it was part of a larger project that cost $3,600. Robert III (there's 3 Roberts in the family business) told me that the sidewalk concrete would dry to a light gray/white. However, the concrete dried with large gray splotches/patches all over it...Very unsightly. I contacted the company after a few weeks and told Robert III of the issue and sent photos dated April 30, one month after the sidewalk installation. He told me it was the sealer and that it was "normal" and would go away. I decided to be patient and give him the benefit of the doubt and waited four months to August...no change. I contacted Robert again with photos and again he told me the gray patches were "normal" and would somehow disappear but couldn't tell me the timing of when these patches would disappear. He then told me about another customer that had experienced the same problem and her patches went away. I asked if I could contact her and he was fine with that and said he would provide me with her contact information. I waited a few days and then sent him a text to get the information and he responded via text that he couldn't find her contact information. I did not hear from him again. Now it is December. There is no change in the unsightly sidewalk and I've had to live with it for nine months. In the meantime, our city has been redoing the concrete on a number of sidewalks in the neighborhood. None of those sidewalks have big gray blotches on them and have dried to a consistent color. You be the judge. Take a look at my attached photos...would you pay $2,000 for that sidewalk if you were shown a picture ahead of time? Affordable Concrete Works should take responsibility for addressing this problem. They never sent anyone out to check out the problem. I was the one who always had to contact them. Their response was to just put me off and leave me hanging. I would like?the sidewalk repaired to?the look they promised?or my money back so I can find a new concrete company for a replacement.

We were scheduled about 2 months out, which was fine...and not surprising considering the quality of the work. I was told that destruction would begin at 7:30 on Tuesday. The crew began to arrive about 7:15 and at exactly 7:30 the jackhammers started. Once the old concrete was removed and the re-bar and forms completed, the foreman (I can't recall his name offhand) told me the pouring would begin at 12:30 the next day and once again they were right on time. by 4:30, the concrete was finished, sealed and looked fantastic! I was so impressed the way each team (destruction, forms/re-bar, rough pour, and finishing) worked with each other seamlessly. The foreman was on-site at all times. Perhaps I could have saved a few bucks and given myself headaches a couple years down the road, but this isn't the kind of job you want to skimp on. I couldn't be happier I would recommend Affordable Concrete Work to anyone!

They repaired the front walkway and some concrete on the side of the house which had been undermined by a clogged drainpipe as well as the driveway.

Matt came out and listened to my requirements and wishes. I didn't have strict requirements, more like I knew what the existing problems were and just wanted a nice resolution to them. Matt had good suggestions and consulted with the foreman to make sure what we were discussing was reasonable and would work and get me scheduled. A deposit was not required. Affordable Concrete Work is a family run business, and when the crew arrived to do the work, they were professional, on time, and obviously knew what they were doing. They did a good job of communicating with me to make sure it was what I wanted, as well has having good camaraderie with each other. For as much work as there was to do, they had enough crew to get it done in two days and the results look very professional.

Demolition and removal of existing 2 layers of concrete on back porch and old driveway. Poured new concrete for patio slab (to be used as a base for pavers) and designed and poured a new driveway. The new driveway is both very aesthetically pleasing plus it fixes the drainage problems that existed.

Robert and his team did everything they said they'd do and our new driveway and stamped, colored walkway looks fantastic. They were upfront when I called initally that they were booking about 8 weeks out, but we took that as a sign that they do great work and we decided to wait - great decision! They showed-up on-time and got right to work, with 3 generations of family and a full crew there to get things rolling in the right way. We wanted our old cracked and sunken driveway torn-out and a new one poured. In addition, we wanted a stamped and colored front porch and walkway from the porch to the street along one side of the driveway and a sitting area under the front window. Once they arrived, we also asked if we could add a stamped, colored walkway on the opposite side of the driveway that went from the driveway around the side of the house to the back gate. We agreed on a fair price for the additional work and they did that work also. It was forecasted to rain after the first day, so they explained the impact (delayed for a day and a half after they finished the first day) and then came-back just as they promised and finished the work. Eric is a great foreman and at the completion of the job he explained the time to stay off the new pour, how to take care of it, etc. These folks do great work and fair prices and are worth the wait.
