The owner of Lane Electric came out promptly and was intrigued by a problem he had never seen before. Because he was recommended by a friend and I liked him, I didn't bother with getting any other quotes. He spent about two hours tracing the electrical system in the house until he finally found the problem: A nail had severed an electrical line when new siding was installed a few years before. He promptly repaired the problem. I was so impressed with his professionalism and knowledge that I had Lane return for some other minor electrical repairs (installing a post lamp, fixing some loose outlets, repairing a kitchen light fixture at a cost of $125). Everything that Lane Electric did was done right and to my satisfaction. I can't say enough good things about this company.
Description of Work: While working in my yard, I discovered that the downspouts on my house were electrified. A call to Public Service produced a "Yeah, sure" response from the dispatcher, but they sent a tech to investigate. When he arrived, he attached a volt/ohm meter to one downspout and was amazed that I was right. He advised me to call an electrician and said the repair was likely to be expensive, so I should get several quotes.

Lane folks were prompt, skilled and efficient. The electrician was not only very easy to work with but gave effort to figuring out how to save us money. We would highly recommend this team of professionals.
Description of Work: We needed to have some quick "updating" work done on a condo we were selling - including replacement of ancient bathroom fans and installation of lighting and hallway switches. Can't find my original receipt for the work, but the price was very appropriate.

It was a great experience. Lane Electric had provided electric service at a home we rented and we were so impressed with how they worked we knew we would hire them when we purchased our home. Lane provided detailed estimates for all the work and Warren did a masterful job of executing the project. They are both professional and wonderful people to work with. This was only phase I of our project, so they will be back again for the next phase. We are so happy with their work. and highly recommend them.
