+ -1 moreThey mostly dealt with my wife but they were very willing to work with our color choices and provided good customer service. They are painters and work on their own schedule.
Description of Work: I used Horizon Painting to paint the main level of my three level house.

+ 0 moreWe were extremely happy with Horizon Painting the other two times that they helped us. We will report back to Angie's List after this repair. Just wanted to review Horizon Painting one more time because of the exceptional repair and finished paint restoration that Harley Howard, his men, Matt, David, John and Gus just completed. The hail storm so severely damaged our home that we were not sure it would ever be the same....the painters from Horizon who did the work were so thorough and so caring....it was incredible. We could not be happier. Harley recommended a new product for the shingles, and he was so right. It is more of a stain than a thicker paint, and looks solid and glassy and great. The roofer we hired was terribly lax and disappointing, but Horizon fixed everything, and our unique cedar dome home is restored and looks like new .
Description of Work: We live in an exceptional and totally unique 7 level spheroid dome home. This home sits on a cliff in Happy Canyon, Castle Rock, Colorado. When we bought this home, it had been vacant for a year or more and needed a great deal of help and loving care. Harley Howard and Horizon Painting came to our rescue and pressure washed the cedar shingles which surround the entire home, sanded and painted the surface and did an amazing job. Horizon came to repair our hail and wind damaged home again in 2010. Both jobs required a "Manlift" and were considerably difficult to do. In taking on the second job for us, the builder of this home asked that the wind blown and damaged shingles be handcut and replaced prior to the painting. Harley took on this daunting task and did another great job for us. We are waiting for a bid from him right now. We survived a 3 1/2 hour massive hail storm on June 6th of this year, and the house is seriously damaged. Harley was not afraid to take on such an unusual home and the work it entailed.....we think he is the best. We are waiting for two others to respond with bids as the insurance carrier requires....we also need three bids from roofers....and this is proving difficult. Of course, Colorado has been plagued with wildfires this year, and so many are in need.....we must all be patient.

+ 1 moreI got an immediate phone call back and Harley came out the next day to give me an estimate. He gave me good advice about changing the colors so that the paint would last longer. After I signed the contract, communication dropped off and I had to make several phone calls to find out if they had received the contract and when they would schedule our painting. It took me three weeks to get a call back. Once the job was scheduled, it was handled quickly and efficiently. The whole process took 2 1/2 days from start to finish. I was very pleased with the results.
Description of Work: Powerwashed the surface to prepare for painting, pounded in loose nails, repaired damaged gutters, and painted the exterior and trim.

+ -1 moreBid was competitive to do just the trim painting. Horizon painting, however, included an upgraded paint (that will last 30 plus years), patched woodpecker holes in the stucco, included the soffits and downspouts, all for no extra charge! They only required 1/3 down, arrived with a crew of four when the said the would and finished the job in two days. They were extremely professional and courteous and called back to see if the job was okay and if there was any touch up (which they do for no charge) that needed to be done. I have used them previously (about 9 years ago) and had a similar experience. I have no hesitancy strongly recommending them.
Description of Work: Painted exterior trim, patched woodpecker holes, replace wood strips on windows on two story 3,200 sq. ft. home

+ -1 moreTHE PRICE WAS WELL BELOW THE MARKET AVERAGE. MR. HOWARD AND HIS CREW WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, ON TIME AND DID EXCELLENT WORK. THEY WERE MORE THAN WILLING TO MAKE ANY ADJUSTMENTS OR CORRECTIONS UPON OUR INSPECTION. THE PRICE QUOTED DID NOT VARY FROM THE WORK COMPLETED.
Description of Work: MR. HOWARD AND HIS CREW PAINTED THE EXTERIOR AND TRIM OF OUR HOUSE. WE CHANGED THE EXTERIOR COLOR WHICH REQUIRED A DOUBLE COAT OF PAINT.
