Customers are normally waiting more than 15 minutes on hold when calling for any assistance or scheduling. We scheduled weeks in advance for the typical cleaning. They called to confirm. We also called to confirm. When the day of service finally arrived, they were no where to be found. When we called to see what happened, they said they would have someone get back with us. Seven days later, we called again getting the same response. We then wrote an email to complain. Several days later, someone wrote back asking for details of the appointment so they could 'look into it'. We didn't response since it was clear that they were just trying to give us the run-around. There are legitimate duct cleaning services out there. THIS one, is not one of them.

As stated by someone else here, I had a whole house duct cleaning coupon, mine from Social Living. It took several calls to schedule the appointment, which was three months out. The window was 9am-11am for service, but the guy showed up at 8:15am without a call (though he indicated he thought about calling). While walking through the house, he pointed out what the coupon did NOT cover. I figured I wanted to get my money's worth...so I was duped into another $395 outside the original $39 coupon. He was a nice enough guy, but it felt like a scam and I didn't feel like I had any options. Either I could let him vacuum the vents (something I could do) and clean one duct or get the whole system cleaned and pay. He claimed that the coupon was worded poorly and wasn't enough to clean my ducts. House filled with fine dust, so I'll be vacuuming all week. I have no idea if it was effective, there was no camera inspection. Upon leaving, he held up a filthy furnace filter and told me what had come through the vents. He did NOT have a replacement filter, so off to the store I go. This was the oddest interaction, as I would expect them to always replace these on their way out. Lesson learned... It was the first time I've had a bad experience with a LivingSocial coupon.
Description of Work: Vacuumed air vents, blew compressed air down toward furnace, vacuumed ducts in basement, cleaned air conditioning unit (essentially dusted it), and drilled holes in ducts (said he was going to cover with sheet metal, but it's silver tape) for further vacuuming.

Hello, This doesn't seem to be a legitimate business. I purchased the Groupon a while back and attempted to use it, but wasn't able to schedule anything for over a month from when I called. That date was today, 3.21.13, and we had a 2pm MST appt. I was called yesterday afternoon, from a blocked number. I didn't answer it, so they left a voicemail. It was them, but they had my address wrong and had changed the time to 8am-10am (less than 24 hours in advance). I tried to call them back to let them know the information was incorrect and I would be at work from 8-10am, as I'd arranged to be off early for our 2pm appt. They're not able to answer the phone. After 10 minutes on hold, I was forced to leave a voicemail or hang up. I left a voicemail. I was called back this morning at about 8:30am. It was a return call about my now-8am-10am-appointment. They left a voicemail (because I'm working) and I called them right back. I waited for 10 minutes again for someone to answer and, when someone did, they couldn't find my information. They put me on hold for 5-10 minutes to look into it, then hung up on me. I called back, with the same experience, but when they tried to put me on hold again I objected and made them keep the line open. Ultimately, I confirmed again that they had my address and appt. time wrong. They said they couldn't do my appt. time. I told them we didn't want to reschedule because the company wasn't able to perform the services that they claim and asked that no one go to my house between 8am - 10am because either no one would be home or my pregnant wife would be home before going to work and wouldn't be expecting them. Someone showed up at my front door 30 minutes later anyway (at 9:30am for the 8am-10am appt.), and got to hear it from my wife face to face. I'm expecting a refund from Groupon shortly. The worst service experience of my life ... not a cell phone company, cable company, or airline ... these guys. Congrats. Thanks, Dustin
Description of Work: They performed no service, except to waste over an hour of my life trying to get someone on the phone and showing up at my house and disturbing my pregnant wife at a time that they were specifically asked not to. Details below.

I bought a Voucher from LivingSocial for Air Duct Cleaning for Whole House from Fresh Air LLC for $39. It was a $260 value which included unlimited vents, one main line and one return vent for a single furnace. When the Fresh Air tech arrived we talked about what he would be doing. He let me know that he would be cutting a hole in the furnace to hook up the vacuum hose but would cover up the hole all nice and neat. I asked if the process would make a mess. He said no. He was finished in about 1/2 hour. Afterwards my apartment was trashed with dust bunnies, dirt, lint, hair, dead bugs, etc. He told me he sprayed sanitizer inside the furnace (I did not see this done) to kill germs, dust mites, etc. and that it was an additional $25. I was handed a bill for $140. Everything he charged me for, except the sanitizer, was listed on the voucher. Of course I tried to point this out to him but he said he had done "extras". Everything he performed was listed on the Voucher. There should have been no $140 charge. I asked for a receipt and he told me that he was out of invoices but that I could take a photo of the invoice if I had a camera. WHAT?!?! So I took a photo copy of the invoice with my digital camera. He left. When the furnace kicked on the tape that he had put over the hole blew off so that all the heat was blowing into the utility room and not the vents. I called LivingSocial to let them know what had happened. I also called and talked to a "manager" at Fresh Air LLC. He was belligerent, uncaring and told me that he had the best techs out there. So basically with the $260 value of the Voucher and the $140 that I paid the tech I was charged $400 for a "Whole House Air Duct Cleaning" in my small 2 bedroom apartment. I have never been this upset and disappointed before with a service.
