DRYER VENT RESCUE

Jason the owner, made a same day appointment; showed up on time as promised; showed me poor vent attachment; and fixed. This man is professional as they come. He even put up with my dog. I highly recommend him...and will to others in my neighborhood.

Our dryer vent had never been cleaned in the 8 years we've lived here. We attempted to clean it ourselves with a gadget from Home Depot but just created a lint jam in the middle of tube so we were 100% blocked and no air from the dryer could get outside. Jason used his professional tools to unclog the tube. He was right on time and completed the work fast. He was friendly and professional. I trust him and he does handyman jobs to so I will for sure be hiring him back!

He cleaned the entire venting system, cleaned all around the floor and walls. He also found the original "tubing" had been put on with duct tape and offered a better solution for 25 bucks which I had him do. It's working super now and I am so pleased. I'd hire him again in a minute!! Great guy to work with.

Excellent experience! I called in the morning expecting to schedule a time in the future...which was fine with me....but Jason came at the end of the same the same day. He was engaging and professional...truly interested in my problem. He listened well and as I peered over his shoulder joking about lost money and diamonds, he assured me that he would uncover any lost treasure and save them for me...I was not to help him. He was there to complete the job. And he did.

Jason was here within 5 minutes of his promised time. Fortunately, because of the location of the vent pipe in the house, he did not have to move the dryer out from the wall, which sped up the entire process. He cleaned and vacuumed out the hose that goes from the dryer to the vent pipe connection inside the house and the vent line that runs through the wall to the outside. He also inspected the dryer vent hose and the outside vent and checked for air flow. All in all, Jason was done in about 35 minutes. Entire time from when he arrived to when he left was about 45 minutes. If you have not had your dryer vent cleaned in some time (every year for long runs to the outside, or every other year for short runs), I would recommend having Jason come and do the work. You will improve the performance of your dryer, reduce electricity costs and help prevent a fire. I waited several days before writing my report because the best check of the work Jason did was to do a load of laundry and to see how long it took to properly dry the towels. Drying time was about one-half when compared to before the cleaning. Overall, the experience was very pleasant, quick and well worth the money.

Jason arrived on time and explained everything he planned to do very carefully. When he learned that he needed to replace the dryer vent hose, he ran out to a local hardware to get a new hose. Even though he is not normally asked to do this, he knew what he was doing and did a very good job replacing it. Before leaving, he vacuumed all around the washer and dryer, leaving the area clean and free of lint. He also explained that he does a variety of handyman duties. Jason was very courteous and professional. I would definitely recommend him.

Jason arrived just after 11am, well within our scheduled appointment of 11-12. Jason inspected our current setup, made recommendations for cleaning/repair, and performed the service. The tape holding the dryer vent tubing had eroded, but the venting itself was in good shape. The breaks in the tape left the hot air venting into the space between our drop ceiling in the basement and the floor of our main living area. Jason completed the work by 1pm.

My dryer hasn't worked properly since I moved into this house. I cleaned out several birds nests from the outside vent, but dryer was still not getting clothes dry. Jason came right on time, and found the dryer vent was 100% blocked where the vent made a 90 degree turn. He removed the blockage with a special tool and assisted by installing a new vent cover with a cage to keep out any creatures looking for a warm, new home. Jason gave me several tips on using my dryer for the best efficiency. I am extremely happy that I called Jason.

I just felt that he did the job so very well. It was taking me about an hour to dry a couple towels, and later that day they dried in about ten minutes. He was a very personable man. I made my appointment and he was able to come out within a couple of days. He does discounts as well. He did show up early and was very professional.

We had an excellent experience. Despite the snow storm, he showed up and made his recommendation of just cleaning out the vents. He did a thorough job reconnecting the dryer to the vent system when he was finished (we had disconnected it to use an internal trap). He left no debris and he patched a couple of connection areas. The dryer is running right now and venting to the outside for the first time in about a year. We didn't even know anyone did this and it was excellent, affordable service. He was very professional and polite.

I purchased a 1/2 off special from Angie's List for dryer vent cleaning. Jason Pettner cleaned the vent from inside as best he could but discovered that there was a blockage he couldn't reach. I asked him to check it from the roof for an additional fee where he discovered a really nasty build-up of lint causing the problem. He thoroughly cleaned out the mess but took pictures to show me the extent of the problem beforehand. Since then my laundry has been drying in about half the time. I'd recommend this service and this company to anyone and well worth the money when you consider the cost of wasted utilities or a having a dryer fire.

I purchased a Big Deal for $59 for a dryer vent cleaning. I have been having trouble with my clothes taking a long time to dry and lots of lint flying around the laundry area, but not much lint in the trap. Jason arrived about 30 minutes later than he was scheduled for, but not a big deal. I was at work, but my daughter called me and had me talk to Jason about some things he had found. He discovered that my elbow from the dryer to the vent was worn out and the clamps that had been installed were not tight enough which produced a little wind in back of my dryer which caused the lint to fly around and not get pushed out the vent. I was so relieved when he told me to fix everything would only be an extra $60!! I know how important it can be to make sure that lint doesn't build up because it can start a fire. My sister had it happen to her. Now my clothes are drying in one cycle instead of two, I'm saving money AND I know that my dryer is safe. I will definitely call Dryer Vent Rescue again!!

Came to house on time as arranged. As the dryer and washer were stacked in a tiny closet, he used a ladder to inspect the dryer hose, rather than move the dryer incurring additional expense for me. He determined that I did have a fire proof hose in place, so no replacement hose required, no holes or tears detected. He then went to the exhaust vent outside, removed it from the exterior wall of the house and using his tools completely cleaned the hose and exit vent. The hose was so clogged from many years of use(3 by me and possibly 5 by the prior home owner) and a blocked airflow, the lent looked like is was snowing outside. He then reattached the vent and cleared away some of the stones below the port to allow for free airflow from the vent. Dryer works better than before, and I will have him out annually to keep the dryer working efficiently. I feel the job was done to a high standard, and he got along well with my dogs who wanted to assist him. I would highly recommend this service to anyone.

I bought the $59 Big Deal for dryer vent cleaning. Jason called me promptly and we set an appt date and time a few days later. He arrived promptly when he said he would. When he got here, he noticed that the dryer couldn't be moved too far from the wall because the flexible gas line connector was very short. He was prepared to either disconnect it for the cleaning or to clean from the outside, but he also suggested replacing the connector with a longer whip hose. I was all for that, since I had problems with it myself. He even drove to Home Depot and picked up the part, which he did not have on hand. The transition vent I had was not a flexible one and was not clamped to the dryer. He installed a new one that was flexible (which he did have on hand). After moving the dryer, he cleaned under it and cleaned out the vent. He installed the new gas line and the transition vent and clamped it down. He also re-taped some duct joints with foil tape that I had previously taped with duct tape. He did all this for the price of parts and a nominal extra labor cost. He was here for about two hours, but part of that was the run to Home Depot. He was pleasant and knew his stuff, and I would use him again.

I took advantage of Angie's List big deal for this work. Jason was very prompt and professional. He explained what needed done and how he would do it. Cleaned up when done and put dryer and washer back in place. I will recommend his service and will call him again to keep my dryer vent in top condition. Margaret

Jason responded to my call immediately and scheduled the appointment for my earliest availability. He immediately noticed that my old transition vent was not up to code and was extremely flammable. He cleaned the dryer vent and replaced my old transition vent with a new FIRE RATED transition vent. He only charged me for the cost of materials for the new vent. He cleaned up the area behind my washer and dryer before moving them back in place. The entire job only took a half hour. Thanks to Jason, I now have peace of mind about avoiding a dryer vent fire. I would recommend him to any of my neighbors and I have encouraged him to advertise in my neighborhoor newsletter.
