Don was awesome! He came out and tore right into it! He really knew what he was doing. He got it done right away, and it's been fine ever since. I was really pleased. I'll be calling him back soon for some more work!

Although not able to help with the repair I would definitely call him again.

He doesn't work on windows but was very helpful in providing to contacts he thought could help. Now that's customer service!

I could not have been more pleased with Don's work! I was very impressed with his carpentry skills and the care he took to get it right. Professional down to the last nail. The siding material was an exact match. Unlike so many contractors, Don started when he said he would and finished the job in a timely manner. He is a joy to work with....so cooperative and helpful. The final price was as quoted. The value received met my expectations.

When he finished, he said he could help us wiinterize ouor sprinkler system and promptly took care of that too. We would highly recommend Don to anyone. Don was prompt calling back. He sounded professional and said he was busy but would try to get by in the next few days. I found someone else who said they could do the job right away. I told Don and he was very kind and said if they can do it right away then you should use them. Long story short , the other people didn't show up! I called Don back explained what happened and he came the next morning and completed the job by noon. Very professional, articulate and excellent work. He saw what needed to be done and just did it. I had a very tight schedule and he helped me out!

Don is awesome. He was punctual, worked quickly and thoroughly, and had a lot of wisdom to give to me about future projects. I have already asked to be put on his waiting list for more projects after the first of the year.

Performed a number of small household fixes, including installing an electrical outlet, fixing a ceiling fan, adjusting my water pressure and changing doorknobs.? He also evaluated other future projects and gave me ideas on how to approach them.

Thank you Dan for taking care of my exterior house issues before all our November snow arrived! The quality of work was excellent and honest.

Misc exterior house repairs.

Don was great. He showed up at time we agreed to. We even had him choose a new kitchen faucet which my wife loves the look. ten years ago before I retired, I replaced 4 sinks and faucets in the house. I know how to do the work and Don did great. we are planning to use him again in the near future for sprinkler system.

We were in a real pinch and James bent over backwards to help us and did a great job. I strongly recommend him not only because of his great plumbing skills, professionalism, and efficiency on the job but because it takes a lot of character to really care about a client in urgent need for help -- and he did that in spades. We had a new kitchen install scheduled in just a couple days when we realized that our kitchen designer and installer had made a mistake -- there was an in-slab drain and pipe right in the way of where the dishwasher needed to go and the plumbing for the kitchen sink was not in the right place. We had a very narrow window of time to get this fixed because the install couldn't be moved. We found James on Angie's list and he took our call on a weekend, instantly understood our predicament and, even though he was booked ahead for weeks, found a way to get the job done (even though it was very inconvenient for him) without affecting his commitments to other scheduled clients. The other plumbers and handymen we called either didn't take our call, didn't call us back, or just told us "no, we're fully booked" without even listening to our predicament. James went way beyond any reasonable expectation to help, made time for our project, showed up right on time, and got the work done in just a few hours, cleanly, and expertly. He really saved the day for us and we are very grateful. We will definitely call upon him again (but with appropriate advance notice!) for our future plumbing needs. It's hard to find tradespeople who really care about their clients and go the extra mile these days but James was a shining exception. He's not only a great plumber but a great person. I highly, highly recommend him.

We were so happy with Don's help on a venting project last year that we asked him to help again as we finish up our gradual remodel. As before, he responded immediately, worked with us to find a convenient day to do the job, arrived precisely on time, completed the work quickly, efficiently, and beautifully and offered valuable advice about which lighting to use and how to make it work best and look best and all at a very reasonable price. He went the extra mile for us by going to the store to pick and purchase the best lights for the job on our behalf, and worked hard to get the job done in one day when it likely would have taken others much longer. When we pointed out one minor adjustment that we wanted after the installation, he agreed in an instant and got it done without hesitation. Can't say enough good things about Don. We will definitely call upon him again in the future and highly recommend him.

Don is really great. We had a time crunch because new kitchen cabinets were about to be installed when we realized we didn't have the right venting in place. He responded immediately, did the work promptly when others refused to take on the work with the unfortunate short notice we were forced to offer, found a much better way to run the vent than we had in mind and did the work to perfection. He has a vast array of construction skills beyond the ones he lists so he may be able to help in ways you didn't even think possible. His prices are very fair. We strongly recommend him and will be calling him again, for sure when the need arises.

With his expert work, Don changed the entire appearance of the rooms he worked on, making showers look new and clean, the kitchen pristine and the steps up to the house free of cracks. We would recommend this handyman to anyone who wants an excellent job at a fair price.

I can't say enough good things about Don and the way he helped us out of a sort of "mini-crisis." I highly, highly, highly recommend him. We had a kitchen install scheduled just a couple days away and the contractor who had promised to run a vent line from the new spot for the microwave to the exterior of the house was called away unexpectedly due to an illness in his family. We were stuck! The install couldn't be moved and we had only a one-day window to get the vent installed. We sent messages to nearly a dozen handymen on Angie's List hoping someone might come to our rescue. Don responded immediately and said he (like everyone else who responded) was booked out several weeks. But he asked for details about the job to see if he might be able to help in any way and had an instant understanding of the problem and how to fix it. He also volunteered outstanding suggestions on how to make the vent perform better than the way we'd thought about doing it. Way beyond anything we could have expected, he moved a couple appointments around in order to squeeze our project in on the only morning we had to get it done. He arrived early, worked expertly, and had the job done to perfection before noon. We really respected that he was intent on getting this done in time to honor the committments he'd made to other clients that same afternoon. It really showed how important every client is to him and the importance he puts on being on time. Of all the people we contacted, Don was one of just a couple who took the time to call us back and he was the ONLY one who bent over backwards to try to help us. We are very grateful and will definitely call on him again (with appropriate advance notice) in the future. Don is obviously a very capable and professional handyman with a very broad range of skills. But beyond that, he has amazing character. He showed understanding and compassion for our "impossible" situation when no one else did and cared enough to offer help even though it was not at all convenient. He put the needs of a client he'd never met ahead of his own needs and without compromising his obligations to other clients. Great handyman! Great person! I strongly, strongly recommend him (But please be more fair to him than we were and give him plenty of advance notice about your project!

I've used Don for years and think he is excellent. Sometimes what happens is he will be working on a project and will have to stop to get material or equipment and then he will come back again and finish up the job. I have referred him to a lot of people. He always comes exactly when he says he will. If he thinks there is a less expensive way of doing something he always lets you know. If he thinks it is something that somebody else should do because he doesn't have the expertise, he will tell you that as well. He is very honest. I am satisfied with the cost but I have not comparison shopped.

He always gives me an itemized bill. He picked up parts for the toilets and installed them. The job went excellent. I count on him. He tells me if he can't do a job.
