Complete Flooring

I chose Complete flooring after receiving three other quotes. Adam was a pleasure to work with and gave me a great quote which was clear and competitive. Once we agreed to work together, he promised to have the job scheduled in the next couple weeks - I got a call a couple days later and got on the schedule for that very week. David arrived on time and was a really nice guy - he prepared the stain samples for me and once I chose the stain I wanted, he had the floors finished and looking great in two days. The floor looks great, and there were no problems in the process. I have more floors to be finished and repaired in the future, and look forward to working with this company again. I recommend Complete flooring.

Pros: Adam Frank is very responsive both in providing an estimate, checking on progress and when there were problems. Cons: I really expected a higher level of attention to detail and had to have them come back to fix a number of issues which were fairly visually apparent. They were very responsive in coming out and fixing the items I pointed out but most of the items were so obvious I should have never been put in a position to have to point them out. The top finish still has a number of visible defects in it that I hope will "polish" out just from normal use. Like another recent reviewer the floor had a number of areas on the hardwood floors that had to to redone (rough, not smooth). The owner was very responsive in coming back out, but then a few spots were still missed. Whats unfortunate is that the majority of the job was done really well - so they let a lot of the little details reduce the value of an otherwise high quality job. again echoing other reviewer.. My expectation, when I hired this company, was that the work be done done right the first time. Not sure if this company has recently taken on more work than they can handle, which is creating quality issues for them.

Pros: Adam Frank is very responsive when he is called for an estimate. Came out the same day, which is impressive. Cons: Although the initial response was quick, unfortunately, the owner misjudged the work involved in refinishing the hardwood steps and breached the contract by finishing them differently than what was outlined in the contract and then neglected to tell the customer about the change until after work was done. Very disappointing. The owner agreed not to charge for this work, and restore the steps to their original state, but there was some damage that occurred to the steps, which now require repair. Also, a number of areas on the hardwood floors had to to redone (rough, not smooth). Not sure if this company has recently taken on more work than they can handle, which is creating quality issues for them.

The cost was more reasonable then other bids I had received so we went with them. I pulled up the carpet and they prepped the floors in my master, installed new wood in half of the room then stained the whole thing so it would match. It looked seamless. I also had a metal floor return vent that was not floor grade and very unsafe so they custom fit a new wood one to match and stained it perfectly. Adam and his crew were very helpful, friendly, and on time. I would use them again.

They did a fantastic job, including moving appliances out of the kitchen and replacing them.

We thought they are pretty outrageously priced. They were going to charge us like $800 a stair, we have 11 steps of stairs and I think they wanted about $6000 or something for it. Then once we included our bedroom and the hallway, it was up like $10,000 or $12,000 and we were like "Well, you know, we had the whole house done 10 years ago for half of that". We're looking at matching the stairs to the rest of the house. It was for hardwood floors, we wanted to replace the carpeted stairs in the hallway and bedroom to match the wood floors downstairs. It's Brazilian Cherry floor and we love it so far, it's not the hardest floor around. We have 3 dogs, a couple of cats and 4 kids and it's still in pretty good shape but it could use a refinish one of these days. It's been 10 years and there's a lot of activity. Definitely we would have gone through a couple of sets of carpets by then. For the painting job, we were shocked and we were even thinking about doing it ourselves now because we have some skills.

Complete Flooring overall did a good job, but not a great job. There were two issues: 1) They did not listen when I told them numerous times how I wanted an angle in the flooring done. They cut carpet before confirming that they had things right and as a result, a change had to be made. In the end, everything came out pretty good, but there was more drama than their should have been. 2) They cracked the baseboards and didn't glue them back together. Additionally, I had to force them to fill in the holes that the finish nails created in the baseboard. Even then, they missed filling in several of the holes. The floor itself is installed very nicely. It is just the other details where they could use some improvement.

Floor refinishing really disrupts your life, especially when you're doing most of the house at one time. I had a business trip coming up, so we decided to see if we could schedule the refinishing while I was gone. Adam came out the day after we called and gave us a bid. He was able to schedule his crew (David) to start within a week, so we said yes. David showed up as scheduled and spent the next three days working through the sanding, filling, staining and sealing process. My wife was there most of the time (outside on the patio), and found David to be incredibly professional and friendly. He even brought her lunch one day! I think David was more concerned than we were about some of the problems with the floor (it's 55 years old) and really worked to make it look right. And it does - the floor is beautiful! We'll be installing new flooring in another room later this year and will definitely call Complete Flooring to do the finishing.

This project took a week for 3 rooms - all went well. Adam and his staff were prompt and courteous . David , who did most of the work, was thorough, knowledgeable and responsive. After finish coat was applied, floors seemed rougher than expected, so they re-applied. Stated some of the products sometimes don't finish as anticipated. No problems - and the floors look beautiful. I am so pleased with the work, I plan having them back to install additional flooring in another room soon.

The service could have been better. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding on what they were supposed to do and they actually had it written down on their estimate. But then, the person that we were talking with argued with my wife over it and said, "No, that was not case." So, we had to dig up the work order and it said that it was the case. So, it was not a very good experience. Their pricing was about where everybody else was but I think that the work of the subcontractor was good.

It went amazing. He did a really great job! It was worth every penny.

Adam is super friendly and easy to work with. Often when a salesperson comes to our house I get uncomfortable because I feel like they're trying really hard to sell me something. Adam just had a natural conversation with us about what we wanted and then quoted us a price. We wanted carpet replaced with hardwood in our dining room and the existing hardwood in the adjoining kitchen refinished to match. Adam's price was the best quoted, so we called him and gave him the go-ahead. He was able to schedule us for approximately a week from when we decided to move forward. His worker on this job was David, who was also very friendly and easy to work with. David did the work along with a helper or two. He did a really good job. There were a couple of small spots where the finish wasn't perfect, but David and Adam were very helpful and fixed them without a problem. After the job was complete, we noticed that the hardwood in some areas of the house had a slightly sticky, gritty feel to it when you walked on it with bare feet. Not something that was obvious, just seemed odd. We called Adam and told him, he said it wasn't a problem, that this happens sometimes. He sent David back out, and David did a little more sanding and resealed the entire floor for free. While it's important to me to have quality work done right the first time, sometimes things don't go as planned. That is why it's even more important to me to work with someone who will make things right when they don't go perfectly the first time. Adam and David did a good job and when something went wrong they made it right without a fuss.

Adam, owner, is very punctual and professional. He works hard to please his customers. Overall his workers did a fine job and he closely supervised the work. He was always available by phone to answers questions. He came here often (perhaps daily) to observe the progress of the work . We weren't 100% happy with one aspect of the job and Adam had it redone to our satisfaction. He uses top-grade Bona products, which is important for long-lasting finishes.

Adam was very responsive and came out immediately to give us an estimate. We called two other companies who came out as well but neither of them called us back. We were looking for the noire main floor to be done in hardwood, which was 2300 square feet so we were surprised the other companies did not call back. Adam's contractors showed up timely and were very professional. The floors look beautiful and I am very pleased overall with the job that was done. Adan's crew is finishing up the ceramic tile tis week but so far it looks great. I would definitely use complete flooring again.

Adam was amazing, my floor was difficult and they fixed the problems and now it looks beautiful. His worker David, was so nice and did a great job, I have already referred them to 3 families!

We called Adam at Complete Flooring and within 24 hours he came to our home to give us a quote on our flooring needs. He gave us a time frame that the job would start and be completed and when the wood could be delivered to our house to acclimate to the humidity. David and Jose came out to do the refinishing and to install the additional rooms. The guys were very easy to work with and completely cleaned up their work environment before leaving for the night. We were having a difficult time deciding on the color but the guys were patient and applied several options on our existing floor to allow us to make a better decision. The floor turned out beautiful and made us want to go one step further and have the staircase done as well, which was not in the original project. David contacted Adam with our request and within the same day we had the wood on order for the staircase. We couldn't be happier with the outcome of their work.

The owner came to do an estimate first and took plenty of time to answer my questions about the process, cost, and company. I decided on this company due to the excellent service as well as the pricing, and time needed to do the project. His pricing was below the other estimates, but more importantly, the job was able to be done in 2 days rather than the 3-5 other companies quoted. This timing allowed my family to stay in the house with minimal interuption to our daily lives. We had to move all furniture out of the area, but were able to walk on the floor in the evening to get upstairs to sleep. The other companies advised us to take a vacation for 3-5 days while they completed their work. As this was not possible with school and work schedules, we were relieved to know the floors could be completed in only 2 days. The odor after the refinishing was tolerable the first night, though we did sleep upstairs with the windows open and ceiling fan on. After the first night, the odor was barely noticable after airing out all day. Everyone who has seen our floors has been amazed at how wonderful they look. We couldn't have been more pleased with both the end product as well as the customer service.

Adam arrived at my home per our schedule to survey my needs and to provide an estimate. We discussed my my expectations and the cost of the various options. Adam took measurements and provided an estimate based on my specifications within an hour of arrival. His estimate was very reasonable based on the research I had done. Also I had gone over all the reviews for most top rated flooring installers on Angie's Llist. The addition of the ORB balusters was a change after we crafted our agreement and I purched these items separately. I also changed the risers from white painted to solid stained oak. We agreed that the work would start the following week. The crew that worked on my hourse was David, Jose and Adam. All three were professional and thoughtful of the daily routine of our home. The work was started on time and professionally done. All hardwood matched and the most difficult woodworking challenges were mastered by David. David and Jose worded in my home non-stop for seven days to get every aspect of the job done to my specification. The highest praise one can give is that they started on time, finished on time, did the job agreement to, at the agreed upon price and where pleasant to have in my home. I would highly reccommend Adam and his crew to anyone needing challenging carpentry work done.

Adam came for the estimate. He was professional and answered all questions. He was prompt when asked to clarify the installation date and time. Their crew appeared on time, performed the work keeping dust to a minimum, answered questions without appearing bothered and finished the floor by early afternoon. Cleanup was thorough. The job quality was excellent. It looked new with wood colors I hadn't seen before. They did such a good job that I'll have to ask them to do the rest of the floor when it comes time to sell the house.

Updated 10/30/13: I called Adam a few weeks ago to see if there was anything that could be done about the problem below, even though it was a FULL YEAR after the original service. He was very helpful and responsive, and had his carpet man come out and stretch my carpet to resolve the problem. The carpet looks fine again. I now realize that if I had contacted him when the problem first happened, he would have taken care of it right away. Very happy with the way he handled this.

Came over on time and gave estimate. Trying to work on schedule that works.

Adam called me within a few days of my purchasing a deal on Angie's List and came out right away to take a look at my beat up floors over glossed floors. The space was a little bigger than the 10x10 that I purchased the deal for and there was an extra charge for the floors being parquet. All fair extras for how the job turned out. The guys that did the work showed up on time, finished early, and did a fantastic job.

David and his partner were on time and hardworking (and nice!). Completed work in 2 1/2 days.

Adam was very professional and advised me on my options. They made sure I was there to choose a color. His workers were polite and nice. Left a little sand, but not much! Overall I am very pleased. they look fantastic
