Very polite and extremely knowledgeable. CW indicated what the probable fault was and said it would be difficult/expensive to repair. He had me troubleshoot a couple of times to verify his prognosis - which it did. He said he would be happy to come out but recommended getting a new set. Refreshing honesty.

He was great. I called him up on a Saturday and he was here in an hour. He did a great job, I was amazed. He did the repair because my DVR failed on me suddenly. The DVR is an older model, about 5 years old, and they don't make them anymore so it was either repair it or junk it. So I tried to repair it and he did an excellent job. It now works perfectly. If any electronics fail he's the guy to go to.

I will never call anyone else to fix our TV. He is the best in my book!!! And noooo, I'm not related or have any interest in his business. It was just a lucky call on our part that I even called him.
Description of Work: After calling around and talking to many TV repair techs that hemmed and hawed about whether or not they could fix our old 65" projectionTV and a few said it couldn't be fixed at all, C.W. Farrell told me over the phone that he knew for a fact what was wrong with our TV and promissed he could fix it and for how much! It was a couple of chips that blew out, which had to be desoldered to get out and he had to replace some part that cracked from age which is what caused the fuses to blow. He also had it fixed in a couple of hours because he has the parts stocked. He does not have to order them and leave you with a broken TV for days. One tech told me our tv was too old and that he'd have to order parts for it IF they could even fix it. And he said from what I told him, it sounded like the whole board would have to be replaced. So don't waste any time with anyone who is not straight forward. C.W. Farrell is straight forward and he fixed my tv fast. Call the best first and ask if he can pin point the problem over the phone. C.W. will tell you the truth, even if that is he doesn't know until he looks at it. But with ours he did know and it was exactly what he said. AAAAAAAAA+++ SERVICE!!

I have NEVER written a review online--good or bad--felt compelled to do so here. Called a few places who either never retired my message or who returned message but on returning their call never followed up....played phone tag ---they quit. Looked up CW Farrell online---not the best reviews, but was off today and figured i call to set up a future visit....was prepared for a long wait, various sales pitches for upgrades if not invested in would mean early breakdown and the need for a new tv---was psychologically ready to throw in the towel and figure out a way to work a new tv into my already stretched budget--WHERE is that improving economy? So, called CWF and was surprised to have a human being answer my call (later learned it was CWF himself)....no BS but certainly friendly enough....asked me what the problem was---i explained it laymans terms--he semi-diagnosed the problem in about .30 secs and two questions....quoted a base fee for coming out, and a range of fees if the problem could be fixed....told me it was probably a problem that could be fixed for this range or otherwise would be more advantageous to replace it.....asked me if i wanted to have him look at it today...said yes...told me he would be there within the hour...was here in 40 minutes...did not get upset at all when my undisciplined but friendly dog jumped all over him....on the contrary, was very kind to him. Took him to the basement, turned on the tv......bad picture came on...diagnosed the problem in 10 seconds...repaired it in 30 min, which included about 10 minutes of fine tuning which he didn't have to do...picture is now better than when it was originally delivered as the sales people just dropped it off and left...without tuning in properly.....CWF's fee was well within the range he quoted. Maybe it was a simple fix for him...certainly looked like it...but how much value is there in an quick,accurate diagnosis,trust that the professional is not going to rip you off (even though he probably could have due to his extensive knowledge of his profession while i knew nil---and he knew it),efficient but thorough work at a fair cost that was quoted up front in a friendly (but not overdone as many service people do) manner...After all am i not paying for his knowledge, judgement, experience and skill.? COULD NOT HAVE BEEN A BETTER EXPERIENCE

I contacted C W Farrell Electronics because of an issue I am having with an Akai LCD television. I was directed to C W Farrell by a site that assists Akai TV owners with identifying repair service providers, and Farrell was listed. When I contacted C W Farrell this morning, the service person indicated that they no longer service Akais, and offered a suggestion that I be sure to check BBB reports on any organization in the Denver metro area who say they still do service the TVs. Apparently, not all the service companies are reputable. I appreciate the heads-up from C W Farrell, and will use them in the future if I need service performed on other electronics.
