I bought a house 2 years ago & the siding had once been a wood-colored brown. Since the sun is so intense in Colorado, it had since faded to a very, very ugly green/brown/tan color. Believe me, it was UGLY with a Capital UG. I ran across some paperwork that said it had a 50 year guarantee. I thought, what the heck, I'll see if they'll stand behind it. After a couple of calls, I got ahold of a guy who said he would come by to check it out. He tested a piece of it & they said, yup, they would replace it. It took him a while to check it & get the results, but after that it went pretty quickly. I got to pick an entirely new color/style. They had someone come & install it (he was good, but left some details undone, like reinstalling the doorbell & exterior lights). The entire process didn't cost me a PENNY! The phone number I gave for this company is the Alcoa Siding representative for that area. He was FANTASTIC!
