Hi company was amazingly rude and unethical. They took advantage of a very dear elderly friend with advanced Parkinson's disease. He contacted them to have a family heirloom repaired and they proceeded to work on (and break it) without authorization from him at a cost of more than $2000. I have been working to help him get his radio back into working order after he and his wife managed to get it back from them. The people at AAAA even returned it without the original glass that is necessary to tune the radio. They disputed the charges with the credit card company but ended up being charged! Shame on AAAA!

My $1,200 guitar amp was acting funny and I was in a rush to get it fixed for an upcoming gig. I found these guys online and since they were close, I decided to give them a try. Walked in to a very sketchy looking store and should have listened to that little voice in my head, but emotions ruled and I didn't. I paid $150 up front for a diagnostic fee that would be applied to the repair cost if any. I was also told that they'd put a rush on it since I had the gig coming up. After band practice a couple of days later, I realized that the problem might be my guitar (a bad jack) and not the amp. I called them to halt any repairs, hoping to get my deposit back but was told "it's already open and on the table, we'll call you with the diagnosis". At this point I accepted the fact that I'd probably just wasted $150 for a "cleaning". Got the call from some guy I could barely understand, and he told me what a great amp I had and what I needed to do to take care of it to prevent future damage. I was then shocked to learn that my amp needed a $350 "motherboard". Sensing something fishy, I told them not to do anything with it until I had a chance to think about it. That's when I decided to look them up online. Multiple bad reviews detailing problems like mine made it clear that these guys seem completely dishonest. I went in and spoke with Omar (the manager) and expressed my concerns about their bad reviews and the fact that my amp probably didn't need a new motherboard. His reply was to point out the couple of good reviews they had received (probably posted by employees?) and he asked that I give them a chance to prove themselves. I resisted this offer and then he offered to fix my amp for $120, but it wouldn't have the super duper warranty that the $350 fix would. Knowing that something wasn't right, I told him I wanted my amp put back together as it was when I brought it in and that I wanted it to work like it did before I dropped it off. When I went in the next day to pick it up, I was told by the salesman that I had to sign off on it before they would turn it on, to which I refused. He got huffy and had Omar come over -- he said the same thing. Again, I refused to sign before I knew that it powered up. He gave me an excuse about corporate watching through the cameras and getting in trouble if he didn't follow procedures. Disgusted, I signed it, and let him know how shady they were. Omar got pissy and finally plugged it in. Seeing that it powered up, I then left. Following that horrible experience, I took it to a guy that was referred by a friend. He took a day to look at it and determined that it was a bad tube ($25), not the motherboard that needed to be fixed. I wish I had looked online before going in to see these clowns. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS, unless you like brain damage and wasting money.
Description of Work: Initially went in for a repair on my guitary amplifier. Did not have them do anything beyond the diagnostic test.

The total bill was $325, including the $125 already paid and there were some tense moments when I called foul regarding pricing in their shop. We had to pay the full ransom amount in order to get the machine out of the shop. A week later, it had to go back in, as the machine clearly was not fixed. The technician allegedly reported that my wife (who has successfully used the machine for 30 years) did not know how to use the sewing machine correctly. Bottom line: Stay away. Far away.
Description of Work: After collecting $125 on our credit card as an inspection charge and setting an expectation for having the work completed in 10 days to 2 weeks for a total cost of about $200, we heard nothing for over 2 weeks. Upon calling and hearing a series of excuses (very busy, employee illness, etc.) we heard from them the following day, advising the sewing machine was ready for pickup.

They said there was a $85 charge to look at it. They also said they would call if the amount was higher. They called and said they fixed the machine and it was going to be another $125. I told them I didn't authorize the work. When I went in to inquire, the manager said that I had authorized the work. When I told him I had not, he did not believe me and said that they have never had a problem like this before. This was a flat out lie, as I was to discover when I reviewed their BBB ratings (which is an and quot;Fand quot;). Upon review, there are several complaints describing my same situation. Unfortunately, he would not let me leave with my machine until I paid him. This company scams people and is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Please don't make the same mistake as I. Do not use this company!
Description of Work: First, let me say I have never reviewed a business before today. I brought my sewing machine for repair. After using the machine, it still does not work the way it should. However, I will not be taking it back to them, even though they claim they warranty their work.

Talked to service on Thursday. They said they'd call on Friday. They called on Friday only to say they could not come on Friday, but that they would call the same time on Saturday, and that they could definitely come on Saturday. They did not call, or come out, on Saturday. Needless to say I waited Friday, and Saturday morning - no call on Sat, and no show. I called and left a message Saturday morning. No call back. No call. No show No service. Don't use guys, unless you really want to wait around a few days, or it's bad weather and they are not all out golfing or goofing off.

This is the first review I've ever been compelled to write and I could easily make it ten pages about my experience, but the short answer... I learned that this family has already been put out of business once for bad practices and even though they've reopened under one son's name and changed the business name, they haven't learned their lesson & I hope the District Attorney goes after them again soon!

Description of Work: The DLP lamp went out in our TV. I had replaced it about three years ago and figured, "find a new bulb and reinstall it". Since the place I purchased from the last time was fairly reasonable but closed at 1PM, I tried AAAA TEVA, they wouldn't give a price over the phone so I had to drive from North Thornton to Centennial only to find out they charged more for the blub than the manufacturer did online. There are other companies that post their parts prices online. I would never do business with this company in the future.

This was a very negative experience. It did not go well at all and I believe this company is one you should avoid. I wish I would have read some of the other reviews, before I let them take my TV.
Description of Work: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I believe this place is not reputable and my experience is specific to having a TV repaired. I called them and after I explained the problem they sent a repair person to my home that same day. He took the TV apart and said it looked like it was only going to be a small component repair, nothing major. I wanted him to fix it at my home and this is where I think the sleazy part of their business begins. I doubt that they repair any TVs in the home. He said he didn't know if that was the only problem and he wanted to take it in for a full diagnostic to make sure it gets fully serviced and repaired. This is where I wasn't smart - I paid them $50 for coming out and $100 for the diagnostic and the repair person said this also covers the repair in most cases. He pretty much reassured me it wouldn't cost more , but he couldn't really say for sure. I asked if I could get the TV back in a day or two. He said it is usually 3 to 5 days and I asked for a rush, since it is my only TV. DO NOT LET THEM TAKE YOUR TV!!! They were "diagnosing" it for 5 days and still had no idea what was wrong. Then on the 6th day when I called they have ordered a part, but the customer service person or maybe it was one of the salesmen had no idea what the part was and how much it would cost. No, he can't see that on his computer. No, I can't talk to the technician. Now I am getting suspicious about them repairing my TV, since they won't tell me anything. I had called several days in a row and they could never tell me a thing, other than it was being "diagnosed" and someone would call when he knew what was wrong. Always they said they are going to call me with information the next day. I decided to call around to other TV repair places. Some of them gave me a diagnosis over the phone and in most cases they said it probably wouldn't be worth repairing after I described the problem. One shop is familiar with AAAA TEVA -TV and they gave me an explanation of what might occur if I leave my TV at the shop. I won't describe what they said, since it is second hand information. I decided to cut my losses before it went any further. I even had trouble going to pick up my TV - they needed 24 hours notice before I could come get it and then they reluctantly gave it back to me, being all surprised I didn't want it repaired. I hope no one else gets ripped off by them and falls for their scam. They were very polite on the phone, but never answered any of my questions. I doubt they ever looked at my TV at all in the week that they had it. They also have a disclaimer that you sign when they take the TV, again not smart of me to sign it. This covers them so there was no way I could get my money back even though I declined the repair.

The lamp in our DLP television blew out after the repair store we usually use had closed for the day. A search on the internet turned up AAAATeva and they are open until 6:00 pm on Saturdays. My husband called the store to inquire about the availability and cost of the lamp we needed and offered to give him the part number of the lamp, and was told that there are so many different ones that we would have to bring the lamp in for them to look at it. We did a quick search and found that the better lamps (without housing) ran for between $112 and $125. We went to the store and spoke with the same young man who had helped over the phone. This time, instead of the lamp, he wanted the part number. The salesman came back out with a lamp and told us it would cost $289 (which including them putting the lamp in the housing). He told us there would be a 1 yr. warranty if they installed it, but no warranty if they didn't. We told him that was outrageous that we could buy the lamp on-line from a dealer for less than half the price. He argued there would be no warranty, and we wouldn't know what we were getting. We told him that we had used another manufacturer authorized repair shop and they didn't charge that much. We were ready to walk out and he offered a discount for the lamp alone for $200. When he rang it up he said it would have a 6 month warranty (however, he did not enter that information on the receipt and there was no warranty). The lamp was wrapped in bubble wrap and not in a box. We got it home and my husband started to unwrap it and heard a rattle. When we unwrapped it the outside rim was broken and the inside reflective surface of the lamp was broken. We called immediately and they were getting ready to close but told us to bring it back on Monday and they would replace it. My husband went back on Monday and they gave him a song-and-dance routine that he had to have broken it, because the bubble wrap would keep it from breaking, and they were not going to replace it (the salesman who sold us the lamp claimed to not remember selling us a lamp on Saturday -- even though his name was on the receipt). The salesman told my husband that he would lose money if he replaced the lamp -- my husband asked why that was his problem. The salesman showed my husband the large box all the lamps come in and that they are all individually wrapped in bubble wrap and told him that they never break. My husband bet the man that he could drop one of the bubble wrapped lamps and it would break -- the salesman took the bet. He got an old lamp that was entact, wrapped it in bubble wrap and dropped it. It had the exact same type of damage as the lamp we purchased. At this point the salesman had no choice but to replace the lamp, but informed my husband that it would not be replaced again and there was no warranty on the lamp. There was a total lack of professionalism, the sales staff were not knowledgeable or respectful -- basically the experience and customer service stunk!!!

Please note I didn't have any repairs done through this company this is just a comment on their professionalism and prices I noticed. I took a projector in to get a price for diagnosis regarding a power issue. They were very busy, which I thought was a good sign and had several employees which led me to believe there must be good/repeat business. I don't know if that is the case or not but seemed like a good sign. While I was waiting I looked at the prices of TV's there and notice the OUTRAGEOUS prices for the models. Once I was actually helped by an older gentleman, this is where things went from good to bad to worse. He could care less about helping me and wanted to write a ticket and get me out of there. He answered the phone and told me to hold while I was there, spoke with several employees while telling me again to wait. What ever happened to the customer in front of you is the main priority? I excused myself needing to get something out of the car and never went back, as I felt something missing here. Glad I left as I broke an Angie's List golden rule. Use this site first!!

A person from AAAA TEVA - TV Vacuum Electronic Appliance Company came out and took the old television for repair. He was a good. AAAA TEVA - TV Vacuum Electronic Appliance Company kept my television for over a month because they said that they couldn?t reassemble the parts. I complained about it but they didn?t respond to it. Finally I went down to their shop and bought a different television. They delivered it to my house; their delivery was good. Their service is bad but I think that their price is good. I would not contact them for future service.

I had originally called a company I had used in past but they had been taken over by AAAA. The tech came out to diagnose the problem at my home but that didn't work. He said it would be better for him to take it to the shop to diagnose and fix it there. I let them take it even though I was not extremely comfortable with them taking it since I spent over $4000 on it. I called them to check on the status and got a call two days later and they said the needed additonal $490 to fix additonal problems. I gave them the okay over the phone and they said that they gaurantee it and they have a 30 day gaurentee on the parts and labor. A day later they called to say the tv was done. We set up the delivery date and they never showed up on that date because of the weather. They said they would have to deliver it on Saturday. They came to my house to deliver the TV, a 50 inch Samsung, and it had deep scratches on my frame. He told me to call in to have them order the part to replace it. He called me back to tell me he can't get the part and he would offer a refund. It's now $930 later and my TV is damaged and it won't even turn on. The friday they came to deliver the TV the tech had told me they left TV on the truck over night, in freezing temps. When they first turned it on upon delivery it was distorted. I think that it sn't working because they left it in the cold.

This company is closed on Sunday - unknown to us. I called this company after finding them on Craig's List as having some good deals on televisions to replace the above broken paper weight. The owner of the company answered the phone, asked what I was calling about and suggested we have the T.V. repaired and asked when we were available. Needless to say - and we were absolutely shocked - the tv repairman was at the house in less than 1 hour and fixed the television with better parts than it came with in less than 1 hour. (And it worked!! and we have the parts to prove what he did was the problem.... my father's an electronics guy.) Amazing service, low cost compared to the value of the television and the value of replacing said television. Simply amazed.
Description of Work: 40" Samsung LCD TV (Model #SAMLNS4096D) purchased 6/21/2007 for $1999.05 would no longer turn on. TV power supply capacitors(?) were blown. TV repairman replaced 5 capacitors(?) on electonic board.

Muhammad is a very clean and well dressed salesman. He was an excellent salesman. So he informed me that it would be $175.00 to service my machine up front. I called him back the next day and told him I didn't want it cleaned, but he had "already" given it to a repair man and that it would be a week before I could get it back. I told him I needed it for my work, but he said that he couldn't get it because the repairman had already picked it up. The warehouse was in Denver and I was not permitted to go to the warehouse. I waited 1 week, he called me and told me the machine was in horrible condition. I said, "No, no, no. Close it up and I'll pick it up." Muhammed told me that the needle shaft was bent which is why it wouldn't sew. I can guess that I am more knowledgeable about a sewing machine and the needle shaft was fine. I said I just wanted to pick it up, do not touch it. I went the next morning to pick it up and I could hear him in the back closing up the machine. He set it on the counter and said it's all serviced and ready to go. I didn't say anything, took the machine and left. He is charging more than double for a simple service. On a side note: On the way out, I noticed a hand held vacuum and began to inquire the price. Instead of giving me the price right then he wanted to demonstrate, which he did well. I bought the vacuum for $159.99. He said I needed the filter pack as well for $89.99. He gave me $10 off. So the whole thing w/ tax was $256.42. He told me the vacuum was $199.99, but on sale today for $159.00. I bought it for $256.42. I checked on Dirt Devil's website and they sell THE SAME vacuum for $39.99 and filters are $7.50 a piece. The belt comes with 2 in a package for $2.99. So the ACTUAL price of the vacuum should have been $70.50 all together parts included. Be aware.
Description of Work: I originally went to this store to get my sewing machine serviced. My machine needed a minor service. I only needed it oiled.
