I hired Tipping Hat to originally install a new kitchen faucet. In the process of doing that, they discovered that the feed-pipes from the crawlspace needed to be replaced because they were old and corroding. They took the time to explain the required work to me and asked for my approval before doing the work. They accomplished everything in just a couple hours. Meanwhile they also discovered the main shutoff in the crawlspace was bad, and came back when I asked them to repair that as well. All in all, very happy with their service.

The job was a little more money than I expected but they explained everything to me on how the fee was calculated.

Company did work, stating Permits were in process, work was finished. Asked about permits and was told to call main office, made several attempts to call company, have not had call back and no permits pulled nor county inspection done. seems like they want your money then they disappear. front line people did great work, supervisor and above made this a disappointing experience. will not recommend again.

While the service is good, and the customer service from the techs is very good, the one problem I have-- which is why I couldn't give all 5.0 scores-- is the miscommunication over the phone when dealing with their office. Three different times the communication was not there, or things were miscommunicated-- which caused me issues as well as wasted my valuable time-- and their own techs' valuable time as well. Any business staying in business should know better and make sure that does not happen. They need to work on that. As for their service, their techs are outstanding and will go out of their way to assist a customer however they can. They do go the extra mile in their work.

Very knowledgeable techs but $2200 for a 50 gal gas water heater quote seemed a bit high. They do offer a 10 yr warranty and biannual maintenance checks with that quote, so not too bad.

Received estimate on phone of about 350 for recipe sink, install disposal and install new faucet. When on site quote grew to 700+. Told the I would pay 400. Finally agreed on them repiping for 212.00 and installing fixtures myself. As homeowner I was able to do the rest of project in 2 hours. Professional yes over priced yes. They have mastered the concept of value base pricing.

Had a great experience with Charlie this morning. He showed up right on time, despite rush hour traffic and having to park downtown — was extremely knowledgable and friendly — and gave us a couple of different options for what he could do to repair the parts in our toilet. He was great at pointing out where the issues were, and what future implications could be, and we chose to have him replace pretty much all the components in the tank. He did it quickly and efficiently, and we were very happy with his work. Would definitely hire again.
