We have used this company for various plumbing problems over the last couple years and they are always great. Zane Michalko, owner and scheduler, has often offered a suggestion for an easy fix over the phone first, and if that doesn't work, schedules someone to come out quickly. The repairmen he sends are capable and friendly. We also feel that the pricing is competitive.

I contacted Zane and he was very clear about the cost of the hot water heater installation. We set a date and time. He was here on time and very friendly and professional. He knows his stuff. After replacing the 40 gallon hot water heater with at 50 gallon hot water heater, Zane fixed a sink that we have had trouble with for some time. The pricing was fair and he was a pleasure to work with. I will continue to use Zane as my plumber now and in the future.

Traps were installed below the ceiling level in the basement. Designers/other plumbers have described it as a "good enough" type of workmanship. I'm now looking to have it corrected properly.

He is honest, fast and upfront. He really does very good work.

We had a large amount of water puddled in out basement that was coming down a drain pipe that came through the floor from a wall above. We feared the worst. We read the reviews here on Angie's list and was about to call out the highest rated comapny but being a long time Yelper I decided to check there too. I am really glad I did. All the bad experiences people have had with that other plumber we had suffered through before too. So I combined the two lists and came up with Michalko Plumbing. Zane sounded reassuring that the problem wan't major and had his tech Jason come out the next day. Jason located and repaired the broken pipe with a minimum amount of damage and finished in under two hours. Zane told me over the phone that he would have his drywall/tile man over shortly after Jason left. He arrived as scheduled and after talking it over with him we decided not to repair the holes permanently at this time. No pressure for a costly repair. All during this experience Zane was in contact with his repairmen and I. It had been several years since we had our main drain line cleaned and so I set up an appointment with Zane for the following week. Zane arrived as scheduled, cleaned the drain, cleaned up his work area and gave our drain pretty much a clean bill of health. Fair pricing, good workmanship and communication. Zane is now our plumber.

Zane was extremely responsive and professional from start to finish. My house had old corroding galvanized pipes that I wanted to replace as soon as I bought it. I originally wanted to do the job over a year ago but another home emergency delayed the start. When I called Zane again over a year later, he remembered estimating the job the last time, and stuck to the original pricing (plus extra for a few additional items I had come up in the meantime). He had an opening later the same week and we got it scheduled within 3 days. Zane's crew showed up exactly at the promised start time, and were also very professional. I left for work after they arrived, and when I got home from work they were just finishing up. They cleaned up everything and left my house exactly like they found it. I was very pleased with the entire experience and couldn't be happier with my new plumbing and better water pressure. I will definitely use Zane for all of my future plumbing needs.

They responded to my call immediately, were able to perform the service within a day or two, finished the job quickly and under the verbal estimate. My neighbor had the identical problem and their repair looks amateur compared to mine. I am very happy and will definitely use them again for future plumbing needs.

The experience has been very good. The proprietor is very responsive; he calls to let you know what is going on. A few times he has had to make a change but he always calls to explain what is going on and why he is doing something. He is really reasonable; I had quotes from a few places. He seems to work well.

Zane met me to discuss the galvanized piping in the house. It had deteriorated pretty bad. We decided to convert the whole house to copper pipe. We had been wanting to do it for a while and it seemed like the time was right. After discussing the pros and cons with Zane he gave us a bid and scheduled the work to begin the next week. He and his crew showed up on the day we discussed at the time we discussed and began working. My house is small so by the time I got home from work the job was done; the house was clean and the crew was gone. If it weren't for the new copper I wouldn't have known they were even there. I could not be happier with the quality of the work, the price was very fair, and best of all they cleaned up after themselves.

Excellent. Very responsive and prompt. Quality of work overall is very good. One minor problem following install was immediately addressed and corrected. Zane Micalko and his staff were easy to work with and did a good job explaining procedures. Could do a little better with clean-up, but no concerns about work.

This was one of the most pleasant experiences we had with the contractors who worked on our home, which we just completed and addition and remodel.
