Couldn’t have been better. Jon not only did a great job he suggested a solution that was even better than I planned. Since he did this job I have had them back for 2 other jobs and the work on both has been outstanding.

I wanted a simpler thermostat, which John installed. The furnace did not go on, so although it was not part of his job, John looked at my furnace and discovered that a tiny fuse had blown. He showed me where in the furnace it went (I was able to find a replacement fuse and install it). The other jobs were also done professionally.

I first hired Jon to hook up my swamp cooler which had faulty electrical work. I thought he did a good job on that. But later it didn't work and I called him back, turned out my wife had turned off a switch, he found that but charged me $150. I mean fine, it was a service call but it is the sort of thing you could cut someone a break and earn some bonus points. I then asked him to hookup my hot tub. I had to cancel a day before when the electrical company failed to mark the area for the trenching. It was rescheduled for a following Monday. That Monday he canceled on me the night before and rescheduled to Friday. That Friday he failed to show. When he got back in touch and I told him it was frustrating to get canceled on and then blown off, especially when I had been looking forward to having the hot tub ready for out of town friends he told me that it would have been done if the trenching had been done before and that and so he understood my frustration...which I took that essentially it was frustrating to deal with me. Placing the blame on me, ignoring that the initial problem was outside of my control and ignoring that he had failed to complete the service for me TWICE in one week. I'm a freelance contractor, I understand that things happen and it can be frustrating. But to blame a client to me is just rude. To not show up is rude. I try to make it a habit to not give money to people who are rude to me when I can so I moved on and will not be rehiring or recommending Jon and Green Mtn.

We didn't realize our new stove required a different outlet than what we had until the last minute. I called Jon and he told me that he was booked for several weeks. I explained my dilemma and he told me he'd see what he could do. He checked his schedule and was able to squeeze us in the next morning. He arrived, did the job and we were "good to go." He's a great guy and highly recommended!

I was really impressed with how Jon, the master electrician and owner, listened to my description of the problem when he arrived for the work. He discussed all the possible solutions before proceeding. He used a helper which made the work more expensive per hour but did the work so fast it probably came out the same as if he had charged less per hour and but taken longer to do it by himself. He knew all the current regulations. The finished work looked very professional. He left the work area clean.

Excellent. Very happy I found Green Mountain Electric and Jon Tozier.
Description of Work: Finished up our new 200 amp panel (Last contractor flaked out on us), rewired a couple of circuits and hooked up others that were left undone, Mothballed the old 50 amp panel and made it a junction box only (no breakers), put in a new outside panel for the meter and main cut off switch and some extra outside breakers, and a new Mast up to the incoming power line. Great work ! I'd use Jon Tozier again, and would recommend him to my friends and family

Jon was prompt and came for the first visit with short notice due to our rushed timeline. He had to come multiple times in order to complete the wiring due to other construction we were doing at our house. He was very flexible and willing to make several trips. The price was right for all the work he did. We will use him for all future electrical needs.!

Jon installed recessed lighting in 4 spots in my den (1 hole). He also replaced a closet fixture with a recessed LED, moved the switch to outside the closet (1 hole), removed an extra 50a outlet from closet, installed a GFCI in my garage and backyard, and added a photoeye and motion sensor to my driveway lights. He also did minor work with a smoke detector and a wall plate.Jon is very easy going, knowledgeable and competent. From the beginning, if he doesn't answer his phone, he will promptly return your message. He was on time with both the estimate and service appointments, and both could be scheduled fairly quickly after calling. He will work hard once he arrives and continue working while explaining what he is doing if you ask questions. He is very willing to give you what you want, or as close to it as possible, and will explain why there may be variations to what you may be expecting before beginning the work. Here is something you will really appreciate; Jon will exhaust all options available before having to make or leave a hole in your drywall. With the amount of work I had him accomplish, I am surprised that I only have 2 holes to patch.I plan to call him back soon for more upgrading work I am having done, because Jon is competent, reasonably priced, easy going, and works well with his clients.

They are very responsive and very punctual. The gentleman was going to be late for about 5 minutes the first day he showed up because he wants to pick up a part and they didn’t have it available. He had to go somewhere else and called me immediately and told me he’d be a little late. Overall, I think they are very professional and very good.

For the time he put in, I felt he did a wonderful job and feel the price was right for a licensed electrician. I would not hesitate to recommend Jon at Green Mountain Electric.
Description of Work: Jon arrived on time, dressed for the job in a professional manner, was very polite and easy to build a rapport with. This was a very confusing 'home done' electrical job at least 25 years ago, that he had to sort out and fix. He had all the tools needed, and fixed several problems as they arose. I just knew I had a basement hallway light that didn't work. Jon discovered a live wire in the wall with a screw from a cabinet behind the switch touching the wires. The screw was 'live' so anyone touching it could have gotten quite a shock. Unbelievably, the issue was occurring in the overhead light in the kitchen, knocking out the power in a portion of the basement. See, it's confusing, right? He knew how to trace the path, find what turned out to be multiple problems, and fix it for good.

Original phone called answered personally. Appointment made for the following morning. Master Electrician Jon Tozier showed up on time. He quickly identified what was needed. He purchased the CFL dimmer switch needed. He installed the switch, tested it, adjusted it, and tested again. Jon is friendly, worked quickly, and did an excellent job.

We had an electrical switch failure on 12/31 and were able to have the electrician arrive promptly, even on New Year's eve. He quickly diagnosed the issue with the failing switch, as well as an issue with an additional problem switch, He provided a full explanation of why the switch failed, and showed the failing part. He drew from his experience in how the house was constructed to explain how the failure was due to how the house was constructed over a decade ago, and why we were just starting to encounter multiple switch failures.

An company with the knowledge and patience to handle a difficult remodel (and its owners). Green Mountain Electric was recommended by our general contractor when we started a major kitchen \ master bedroom renovation on a Wash Park bungalow we just purchased. Redoing all the electric in the house was not within our budget. Jon (the owner) came over to review options with us. He listened to how we were going to use each room, and constructed a plan to meet our needs while keeping costs down. He identified work that was simpler (and less expensive) to do during this renovation, in order to prevent us from having to 'redo' areas later . We originally disagreed with Jon's recommendation for lighting in the bedroom closets. After seeing the constructed closet, we knew we were wrong. Jon quickly found a solution that was easy to install, provided good lighting, and met all of Denver's safety codes. (There are ALLOT of safety codes for lights in shallow closets.) The electricians were patient with my wife as she had a number of 'looks' she wanted to see when hanging pendants over our kitchen island. When Jon came over and noticed small cosmetic problems with two outlets caused by other sub-contractors, he fixed them at no charge. Overall the experience with G.M.E. was great, and we plan on using him when we start the next phase of remodeling. There were cheaper options for electricians to get the minimum amount of work done, but Jon's knowledge and willingness to work with us will save us money and time on future projects.
Description of Work: Ran new service through garage, then underground to . New wiring for ~%50 of house. New electric in garage, attic, outside. New service box. Installation of motion detection lights. Repair of faulty electric outlets. Replaced old fuse box with new breaker panel.
