We got home from a weekend away and found that our fridge was no longer cold, averaging a temp of 60 degrees, and we were pretty desperate to get it fixed as soon as possible. Dave asked a lot of questions when I first called and was able to narrow down the problem right away. It's clear he knew his stuff, even though our fridge is fairly old and isn't a brand you encounter very often. He immediately started tracking down the correct parts and was able to schedule us for a repair the next morning. He explained everything and gave me thorough instructions on defrosting the fridge/freezer so it was ready for him. He also gave a quote on parts and labor up front so we knew what to expect. Dave showed up right on time the next day and fixed our fridge in under an hour for ~$20 less than his quoted price. We will monitor the fridge with a thermometer going forward, but we don't expect to have any issues after this repair. He saved us from days of inconvenience and from having to purchase a new fridge, which easily would have been $1000 or more. Having a fridge go out is never a pleasant situation, but Dave helped make it so much more painless than it could have been. Dave asked the right questions and had me perform a few small tricks with the washing machine. Ultimately, I was not slamming the door hard enough and solved the problem by taking a harder whack at it.
