Pete is great to work with, I am a repeat customer.

The weather did not cooperate. The wind blew down branches and lots of debris that required hours of extra preparation before the seal coat could be installed. Pete Mitchell and his crew worked from 9 am until 11:30 pm in order to get the prep done. The job was completed beautifully. Highly recommend!

Peter (Owner) is very knowledgeable in all things related to asphalt and cement repair and maintenance. He guided us through the options available to keep our roads in the best condition, both structurally and atheistically. When it came time to do the work, he communicated effectively throughout the whole project. He and his team did an excellent job and our HOA was very pleased with the quality and cost of the work performed.

More importantly than doing a great job, they handled a bad situation (unexpected downpour & damage) by completely re-doing the job in a timely manner, for no additional cost. How a company deals with something going wrong is telling & Peter handled it gracefully & in good faith.

Peter and his crew overlaid the asphalt in a parking lot at the new location of the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls & Toys at 830 Kipling. Peter and his crew did an amazing job. The parking lot was in very bad shape. But they removed damaged asphalt, milled it down, filled holes, dealt with Kipling traffic and overlaid the asphalt; blending it into the sidewalks and adjacent patio. They completed this efficiently and carefully. Stop by and take a look. I highly recommend 5280 SealCoating for all your paving needs!

I finally contacted Peter from 5280 SealCoating through Angie's List's messaging. He responded to me almost immediately, and was over to give me an estimate exactly when he said he would be here. As we were analyzing the current asphalt, he pointed out to me why it was in such bad shape (the previous installation was too thin, without a good road base underneath). The initial estimate was right in the price range I was shooting for, but I was worried about drainage and some issues, and we decided to do the job right. With the leveling, a thicker coat of asphalt, adding the road base, and adjusting the grading for drainage, the price pushed up a bit beyond what I was thinking, but it was also good to do it right instead of having to redo it in a few years. The crew showed up exactly as scheduled, and Peter was on site the entire time, making sure it was being done as we had discussed. I appreciated his knowledge, and how he conveyed to me the differences between a cheap job and a quality job, and his very thorough explanation of the maintenance procedures for the future. One other note about the service, I was also getting my roof replaced the same day as the asphalt installation, because of weather-related schedules being shuffled. (Note the gutters being replaced in the attached photo). The asphalt crew and roofing crew worked together perfectly to make sure neither was stepping on the other's toes. That was a great example of how 5280 SealCoating is focused on customer service. I look forward to having them do the seal coating on the driveway in the spring, and using them for further maintenance in the future! Finally, I found a company that didn't give me the runaround!

Excellent job

At first I had some doubts because I called and set up an inspection, but somehow, I never got another call back to discus the results. I called again and Pete was very apologetic and empathetic as to what was going on as I was getting a house ready to be rented to prospective people. He set up an appointment around when I would be available and was there with his crew at the time. He took a measurement and came up with 750 sq ft and a price of $800 to do it right then. But, I had other things to do on the house and wanted the driveway to look right when showing this house. My concern was how would it look in a month. Well, Pete gave the price of $500 because they were there at the time and ready to go, so I could understand with scheduling being so hard to hire contractor folks these days. I said go ahead and in a little over an hour it was done. Pete uses industrial contract grade material which is over 6 times thicker and more protection as what a person can get from the Big Box home stores in those 5 gallon buckets. I'd done that over the years and it never lasts long. THIS will last much longer and well worth the cost. They took a credit card with a phone app and emailed the invoice right then and there, that is an indication of professionalism. No extra pain for me with waiting or having to do anything else. Pete believes in making the customer happy and not having to go through extra difficulties. THE IT RAINED LATER ON IN THE DAY! It washed much of the black away and made it all blotchy. The next day I called and Pete's guarantee was wonderful. They came back in a few weeks when the rains had stopped and put a more thick additional coating. Pete went through the extra work of using a broom to work the seal in to the surface for a better job. NO CHARGE!! The photos show the blotchy effect of the rain then....the result after 5280 SealCoat was working and the next day. Than YOU Pete.

Smoothly. I know it is late in the season to do this, but had to be done before the snow flies and we were blessed with warm and dry temperatures. I am looking forward to Spring to see how it all holds up.

Peter and his crew at 5280 Sealcoating were extremely professional, they showed up on time and the job was completed before I got home so I was not inconvenienced at all. My driveway looks great and I would recommend 5280 Sealcoating to anyone.
