Description of Work: Kitchen remodel (installed granite counter tops and back-splash tile and reconfigured counter top area, refinished wooden cabinets and added some woodwork, installed new sink, faucet, appliances, tile floor). They did very well on almost everything and even came back after we'd paid them in full to try to resolve a couple of issues (i.e., a light that was stuck on with Velcro rather than installed professionally; a floor connection between kitchen and dining room). If I'd written this before it was clear that they would not be able to fix the problems to our satisfaction, I would have given them an A overall and would say that we would use them for other projects. If I could have given them A-'s now instead of B's, I would have; also, the kitchen designer person was excellent, and I would definitely use her again. Unfortunately, the two issues that CL did not correct have continued to bother us and have marred the appearance of what otherwise would have been splendid work.

I was really pleased with the work. I would use them again in the future if needed. I would recommend them to anybody, they were very good. They were always on time and did everything they said they would and kept to their estimate.
Description of Work: They did some remodeling for me. They put in a new gate, tiled my bathroom floor as well as took down some wallpaper, put up light fixtures, and some other jobs.

We had a very different experience from other members. We found this contractor very difficult to work with, although he was highly recommended to us. The first problem was when we wanted an new patio door that was not white. Ron said doors are supposed to be white. After insisting, we got to see color samples, and picked a color that matched our brick. Getting Ron to agree to install double-locking deadbolts was another major struggle. Only after several unpleasant conversations and our signing a waiver would they install the locks we provided. The new $2,100 door arrived with brass hinges, which clashed with all the other hardware in our home. We had not been given a choice of hinge colors. They promptly replaced the brass hinges. Unfortunately, tiny 1/12 inch screws were then used on this very heavy door. Less than two weeks later the door failed, and separated from the frame, nearly falling away from the house. Ron did not return our emergency call over the weekend. He did look at the door Monday, and had the hinges repaired Tuesday. They were back out a couple of months ago to repair the door after it became difficult to use when the weather had changed. The grout repair done with the new door installation started breaking apart almost as soon as it dried, and has yet to be repaired. They have been notified about the grout problem twice now.
Description of Work: They replaced a patio door, and repaired and replaced exterior trim. They did OK but not great with the exterior repairs. Joints between old and new wood are rough. Some of the caulked areas need more caulk, even though the work was just done last year. The new patio door has been a disaster from the beginning, and still has a problem that has not been corrected.

The team came in and it was explained what was to be done. Then they began to work. Each day, the same. Very professional, very polite group of men. Job well done. Ron would call daily to advise as well. Very good communication with all.
Description of Work: First the carpet and padding was completly removed and floors made ready for laminate flooring installation. Dry wall installed, primed and painted. All base boards and door jams were cut to size and installed. One toliet had to be removed to repair dry all and flooring. Then put in place with new O ring. And, of course made sure worked correctly. Then the other toliet, after flooring put down, began to overflow from tank. Greg replaced the part that was defective.

Overall a wonderful job! Ron, the General Contractor for this company, inspected the cracks in the walls of our home due to settling, as well as other items that we wanted repaired/replaced. He performed a thorough inspection and provided us with alot of helpful information and a written estimate for the cost of repairs needed. As the work was being performed, we kept adding things that needed to be done, and Ron was so patient with us and accomodated our needs right away. Ron is a pleasure to work with. He is so patient, kind, and professional. His workers were prompt, courteous, and professional. We have additional repairs that need to be done and will definately be using this company to perform the work. Their prices are fair, their work is professional, and they can be trusted. They also have an outstanding reputation in our neighborhood. Can't go wrong with this company. They did an outstanding job! Thanks Ron!

Ron is a complete professional. He'll look at something, tell you what's wrong with it (or what a prior contractor messed up), and know how to fix it. He'll give you various options for your budget. His prices are fair. Once you have Ron as your "general contractor," he'll assign, from his crew, the best people for your project. No need to shop around. Can't recommend them highly enough.
Description of Work: Ron's team has worked inside/outside. They fixed up my old house to get it ready for sale (e.g., wood repair, door balancing). In my new home, they custom-built a storage shed to complement the house; did stonework; finished out the garage and installed shelving; and more. They're out to run electric out to the backyard. They've already installed the lighting fixtures.

They originally quoted me 900, but they reduced it when it didn't take so long. This guy is very busy, but he usually gets back to me within a day. They were always punctual. When they were supposed to be here at 7:30 and didn't show, I checked and I'd gotten the date wrong. They drive white trucks with their name on the side, and they're ALWAYS washed. When I asked him why, he said "It's hard keeping white clean, but you only have one chance to make a first impression." Ron Taylor has a disability, but you wouldn't know it because he is a cracker jack. His assessment of things is generally right on the mark. They are exceptional, and they all have integrity.
Description of Work: They did some plumbing work, replacing old faucets, and caulking. They also replaced a toilet flapper. Also replaced some front door hardware for a good price. They replaced some staircase spindles that had been broken. He will come out and give you a written estimate.

THE GUY THAT RUNS THIS COMPANY HAS SOME SORT OF HANDICAP, HE HAS TROUBLE WALKING, BUT THAT DOESN'T SLOW HIM DOWN AT ALL!! HIS STYLE IS KIND OF QUICK, AND HE DOESN'T MEAN TO BE OFFENSIVE, BUT HE'S VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE! HE IS VERY RESPONSIVE!
Description of Work: THEY INSTALLED 2 CEILING FANS.
