+ -1 moreI sent an inquiry to the provider and received an auto response confirming receipt. However, I never heard from the provider again, even when I followed up. My thought is if a provider accepts inquiries through Angie's List, the provider should respond to those inquiries, even if to say it's too busy or doesn't service the area.

Appreciated that Mike treated his crew with respect and professionalism - did not force them to work long days or weekends which I think is important to keeping good and happy workers

Description of Work: I originally had repairs done but asked for additional bid for other work. Was never contacted, waited over a week, called back and talked to staff who took my name and number, stating I would be contacted. Again, I was never called back and I had to hire someone else.

I really can't think of anything that I didn't like. The price was reasonable and I probably would have them go ahead and do the work.

+ -1 moreThey did a great job. They were prompt and courteous and answered all my questions. The guy they sent dug up the pipe, replaced it and properly refilled the hole, replacing the rocks so it was hard to tell it had even been dug up. All said and done, he was done and gone in less than an hour.
Description of Work: Replaced the underground pipe running from the house to the irrigation valves, it had burst.

Description of Work: I called Longs Peak Sprinkler Systems, Inc at about 9:00 on 2 Jul 2012 and requested an emergency repair of two circuits on my residential lawn irrigation system. I told the lady who answered the phone that I was leaving town on 3Jul12 and wanted to get the system repaired so my lawn wouldn't burn up while I was out of town. The lady initially said that they were booked up and couldn't help me until thursday. I asked her abut the 24/7emergency service they listed as being available. She said that would cost $95 plus whatever regular charges were made to repair the system. I said OK, that I needed to get the repairs done before I left. At 2:40 the lady called and said everyone was on a job, but that her boss would leave the job he was on and come fix my sprinklers but it would cost me $150.00 just to show up. I consider $150 just to show up to be outrageous, and really just a way to make sure they wouldn't have to deal with me! If emergency service is not really available except at outrageous cost, that should have been noted on their list of services. Secondly, when I first asked about emergency service, I was told $95. Had I simply been told that they couldn't take care of me, I could have tried to find someone else at 9:00 instead of finding out at 2:40 that they really weren't going to come. I'm not likely to find anyone at this late time. I personally would never go to this provider.

+ -1 moreIt went great. The guy that came to do the work was very nice, very thorough, and did the work in a very reasonable amount of time.
Description of Work: I had work done by this company two times. The first time they replaced damaged auto drains, installed a drain in a new box, installed a 1/2 inch drip-line along the back perimeter of my yard, and provided parts for installation of distribution tubing to plants. The second time they replaced a part that was leaking close to where the water pipe comes out of the house and goes into the sprinkler boxes by the side of the house. The part that was replaced the second time they were at my house started leaking again about a month later, so they came out a third time and replaced the part for free as it was under warranty. The guy that came out was very nice, very thorough, and did the work in a very reasonable amount of time.

We had several concerns that required extra visits from the team, and these were handled in a satisfactory and professional manner. Overall, a good experience, as we've had difficulty finding good irrigation companies.
Description of Work: Sprinkler system was updated with new heads all around and additions to several existing zones, new controller installed.

+ -1 moreI called Longs Peak Sprinkler Systems because they had other great recommendations on Angie's List. I've had problems finding a reliable lawn irrigation service in Boulder in the past. The parts that failed in our valve box were only 18 months old. Forrest came out within a day of my call and helped me document the broken valve and elbow joint for insurance purposes. He provided a written quotation for the work via email within two days and completed the work the following Monday. He moved the boxes into the lawn and barely disturbed the flower beds and lawn. As an added bonus, he offered a free winterization of my system because our bill came to over $1000. I'm so relieved to have this risk mitigated and to know that I have a reliable lawn irrigation company to rely on in the future.
Description of Work: My sprinkler system valve and elbow joint broke, resulting in water in our basement. The valve boxes were right next to the foundation. Longs Peak replaced the broken parts, added a special control valve in the box, and (at my request) moved the valve boxes away from the house to a spot that would prevent any similar risk of basement flooding in the future.

+ 1 moreMike and his crew are professional, punctual and hard workers. It only took them a day and a half to install a brand-new sprinkler system. They used a pipe puller and caused minimal disruption to my yard. They seed the areas they work on, so the yard should be back to normal within about 2 weeks from when they started. They also installed a drip system and microsprays and were very careful not to damage any plants, hand-digging around sensitive areas. They cleaned up well and took time to explain how the system works. Longs Peak also offers free winterization blowout for the first winter after install. I'm pleased with the job they did and would recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: I took several bids for a sprinkler system install on a residential property for the front and backyard. Longs Peak Sprinklers was the cheapest bid and I couldn't be happier with the job they did.

+ 1 moreWe had previously used Mike before to install a sprinkler system and lay sod on our lawn and he did a great job. This time, he showed up as scheduled and we discussed options and pricing. He gave us a number of suggestions, we worked up a plan and I decided to go ahead. The job went smoothly and looked very professionally done. The tree is still growing strong. I think his price was very competitive although not the cheapest out there. This was balanced by the fact that he is more professional than many, easy to communicate with and I felt comfortable that I would get what I expected.
Description of Work: Installed decorative rock bed in our yard. This included levelling and clearing the area, installing edging and weed block and laying 1-1/2 inch river rock. He also planted a young Maple tree.

+ 1 moreI've dealt with Mike before at another property and hired him again for this job. I gave him a call and asked him to quote the job. He came by within a few days evaluated the job and gave me a full quote by email. I like dealing with him because, honestly, I can speak clearly in English with him and know we both fully understand the issues. We scheduled the job for a few weeks and he came as scheduled and completed the job over a couple of days. The was completed promptly and as quoted. I think he did a good job with both the sprinkler system and the grass. Afterward, when I had questions or problems, he responded promptly and if needed came by quickly to check things out and make adjustments.
Description of Work: Mike removed a large area of decorative stone, installed a full sprinkler system and a newly sodded lawn.

+ -1 moreHe analyzed each zone on the sprinklers. He replaced broken heads and repaired the ones that just needed adjustments. He spent about 3-4 hours working in the yard and replaced 4 heads. He pointed out bushes that needed trimming to unblock the sprinklers.
Description of Work: The man came out to fix sprinklers that were not pointing in the right direction and watering right. Parts of the lawn were dead or dying.
