Out of $18000, we have paid him $15000 so far. He did a terrific job on the wood work and it looks like just I want it, but he ordered the door without having me approve it. He got the right kind of caning. He got gold, and I wanted silver. I had actually gone into the store and done a mockup order. I didn’t know the dimensions or which side it is from. He said he didn’t want it and then he just ordered it. When it came, I said it was wrong. He said he would make it right, and we then waited and waited for the door company guys to come in. He told the guys that this door was defective. I felt bad that they had to take it because it was a $15000 door. I had to wait for months for the door guy from the door company and assess that it was damaged. Mr. Fazio wasn’t honest about telling that himself. He went to exchange, but they wouldn’t let him exchange it for anything but the exact same door. He then said I had to buy another door. I was pregnant at that time. He got quite hot with me when he called me about the door people saying they wouldn’t exchange the door. I was a little frustrated with all this. I couldn’t finish the nursery until I had the stuff out. A series of things seemed backed up by this project. He started yelling at me, and I told him I didn’t want to deal with him anymore. I was getting upset, and it was not good to get upset when I was pregnant. Later my mom talked to him. He called her and met her at the store, but never called her again. I happened to see him again, and he said he didn’t want to see me again. He wanted me to apologize to him. His price seemed a little less initially, but it added up as the work went on. He did beautiful wood work, but he did only what he wanted and not what I wanted done. The other parts were not done very well. He didn’t do flashing between the walls in the new structure, so it is getting into my roof.
Description of Work: I used the services of Fazio Design/Build last fall. They are in Lafayette, Colorado. He started his week in the first week of December, but he hasn’t yet finished it. He was enclosing the front porch enclosure.
