Exterior work was completed fairly quickly. We had to indicate the mistakes, as Cowboy Jim seemed unable to spot them for himself. He did touch up the areas noted. After just a few months, the caulking failed in most areas exposed to eastern and southern sun – after just 3 months. I contacted Cowboy Jim and still in August, no warranty work was performed – although he claims to have a 2 year warranty. I found this warranty claim to be a lie. He was rude to my tenants and claimed that my tenants messed up his painting, when in fact it was his co-worker that made the mess.

Jim responded to my message within 30 min, and came over a few days later , on a Saturday & spent over an hour going over what we needed and gave us a very thorough estimate. He even fixed the cupboard and the screen door during that time for just a small tip and did not include it on his estimate of work. We made an appt to have all of the above work done and he showed up promptly with his employee and they started in on the job immediately. They had to go get materials and paint. They called many business's to find a matching piece for the window and could not find anything locally since it was from 7 years ago. The closest place was greeley so they drove all the way there to get the piece. They could have waited it another day, but he wanted to get it done for me that day. All of the jobs were done thoroughly and professionally. Jim is open, honest, personable, professional & straight forward about what he is doing. He gave a very fair price for an excellent job done very well. I will definitely continue to use him for all of my handyman services. If he cannot do something he will help you find someone who can. I plan on having him paint the outside of my home in 1-2 years, & several other things before then. Very impressed with him and his employee that worked on my home.

Perfection coating (Cowboy Jim) was responsive promply meeting with me to give an estimate. He had to change the original start date, but the change still fit within the timeframe I needed the job to be completed. I most impressed with his flexibility. I changed to scope of the job several times and Cowboy Jim was flexible and accepted my changes. He worked with me on materials cost given the changes I requested. He went above and beyond in several ways. He matched paint for several rooms that his crew did not paint. But did so at my request. He repaired a crack in the high ceiling even it was not an area that needed to be painted. I would definitely use Perfection Coating again for any interior painting needs.

Cowboy Jim responded to my call within a day and called me when he was on his way. Again, because we needed this done in a certain time frame, we were unable to use his services.

By Jan of 2012, quite a bit of caulking had shrunken, between the pieces of siding - where the narrow ends meet. I contacted Cowboy Jim who said that he purchased caulking and would rectify the issue. It's now May of 2012 and no warranty work has been performed. We had a very mild winter and this work could have been completed in Jan or Feb. It's May and still no sign of the 2 year warranty.

He helped us with an insurance claim for the damage, and even though I made a mistake (wrote the time down wrong) on the time he was supposed to be here, he worked with me to come back and still finish the project when we needed it done. Thanks Jim, and I will give you a call on the second phase of our project!!

I called Cowboy Jim and explained my situation (preparing my house to put it on the market) I had two holes that were all the way through the drywall and several places in a room where a large dog had tried to eat through the drywall. I also have a door that needs to be replaced and some window sills that need repair and/or replacement and possibly some painting. Jim was very cordial and friendly as we talked through what I needed to have done. He asked me my time frame and advised that I have the drywall done first but that he couldn't get to it for another week but had someone that he uses and highly recommends (Johnny Yazzie). I contacted Johnny and made arrangements for him to come for an estimate. I work from home and the day Johnny arrived I was on an important conference call (poor scheduling on my part, not Johnny's). My grandson showed Johnny the areas that needed to be done and after looking it over Johnny came and sat patiently at my kitchen table for a few minutes. I was trying to wrap up my call and Johnny was so gracious in waiting....Johnny smiled at me and took out his pen and wrote 120 on his hand and mouthed "I can do it now".;...wow! I shook my head yes and Johnny went off and go to work. In a very short time Johnny had everything fixed and it looks terrific! Johnny's work was very neat and clean...he laid down plastic over my tile and carpet areas. Johnny was able to expertly match the texture on my walls..which was a huge concern going in but you really can' see any difference. I so appreciate Cowboy Jim's honesty in his availability and his willingness to recommend someone who could do the job sooner. I will be calling Cowboy Jim soon to come and do the rest of the repairs :)

My wife and I own a rental property. We were in between tenants and needed an interior face lift. I scheduled an estimate with Jim and he arrived on time. He was able to give me an estimate the same night. We decided that I would do some to the work in order to off set some of the expenses. I would be responsible for the removal of all window casings and baseboards. I would also paint the new window casings and baseboards. I also removed all the interior doors and took everything to the dump. Jim gave me credit for removing the doors because this was not in the original agreement. I was very surprised when Jim told me if the job actually cost less he would credit me the difference. I was skeptical at first until it actually happened. Jim is an honest man. He notices the small details, makes suggestions and understood my goals. My biggest concern was meeting the deadline. Jim assured me that he would meet the deadline and he did. Jim and his crew were on time and very good to work with. Jim is very demanding and in a business such as his this is a much needed trait. He demands a lot from his workers and from himself. No job is perfect and there are always unforeseen challenges and issues that need to be handled. Jim brings his dog to the job site and on two occasions "Jack" wondered off and Jim needed to go find him. When every minute counts trying to meet a deadline this only added to the stress. Jim did decide to leave "Jack" at home for the rest of the time. When Jim was backing out of the driveway His vehicle hit my vehicle. The damage was minor. Jim did not make any excuses, he took full responsibility, gave me his insurance information and the vehicle will be repaired with out a problem. The painted trim was left out side and it rained. This caused extra work. The trim had to be cleaned before it was installed. The trim was not damaged just very dirty. There was extra work that Jim completed and extra work that I completed. It was very stressful at times, however everyone was able to work together and the job was completed on time and to my high level of expectations. I gave Jim a well deserved overall rating of A and I truly believe he deserves it. The exterior of my rental will need to be painted in the near future and Jim will be the front runner for consideration. Thank You Jim, Mike and Joanne

Perfection Handyman Services lives up to its name. Jim fixed the door/sill gap problem and installed new weatherstripping all around the door. I would recommend Perfection Handyman for any number of those repairs and upgrades that need to be done around most homes.

We had Cowboy Jim out to paint the exterior of our house. His bid was higher than other quotes, but he did quality work and he was out working with his crew (which was important to us). He listened to our concerns and requests in a professional and attentive manner. Weather made work difficult one day, but he stayed late another day to ensure the job was done in the original time frame.

Overall the job went very well. They were very courteous and were reasonable. They got the job done very quickly within a week.

He gives a detailed estimate and refunds cost of any materials unused on the project. His work is detailed, clean, crisp, prompt and professional in every regard. Everything was arranged and contracted from our home in Colorado Springs. When we saw the completed project we were very impressed by his professional skills.
