ELP Builders

In my opinion Jesus Olvera, ELP Builders, should never be trusted. We hired him to design build an ADU in Jefferson County Colorado. He failed at almost every aspect of the project and left us with a substantial financial loss. He also operates under DRP Builders. Don't fall for his folksy, yes Ma'am act.

Communication started off excellent. Early on, it became clear that the standard of work was poor (terrible paint and trim work) but the contractor did not argue with me much, he just stated he would re-do the work because he wanted me to be satisfied. After about 3 weeks of work, I stopped hearing from him. His crew only showed up sporadically for the next week or so, and I was still sending him emails and texts to let him know of the progress and the ever growing list of repairs that he had assured me would be completed as part of the final punch list. The crew stopped coming altogether and the contractor will not answer any communications. They took $34K of our money. Our bathroom cabinetry, countertops and window were never installed or even delivered. The bathtub leaks and was installed crooked (the drain & overflow are off to the right of the faucet) , I cannot use the shower at all, the flooring is crooked and half finished, there are actual drips all over the painted areas and they did not remove any of the fixtures or even use tape, so the paint looks terrible in general. The new flooring has damage all over it. I could go on and on with a massive list of repairs and I have plenty of pictures for documentation. Contactors will not respond to any communications. Please avoid this company at all cost!
