+ -1 moreI was home both times the glass was shattered so, I could prove they did it. The first year (2012) the company replaced the glass without too much arguing. When they shattered the glass in 2013, it was a different story. The owner, Curt Childress, rudely argued that I had broken the glass or was doing something to cause the glass to be broken. This is ludicris. I tried very hard to keep the rocks where they belong but the rain drainage often pushes them out into the yard. Who in their right mind break their own glass doors? I have lived here since 1997 and had glass broken only once in 2011 by another lawn servicer and they fixed it immediately without argument. Finally, after several weeks of argument and accusations from Mr. Childress, the company replaced the broken glass. Because Mr. Childress was so rude and accusatory, I ordered the HOA not to allow him to mow my yard anymore and I bought a small push mower and do it myself. Even though the yard is very small, it is difficult for me to mow it becuase it is old fashioned push mower and I am nearly 67 years old. The mower cost me $100 at Walmart and I now have to mow my own yard and still have to pay a monthly HOA fee which includes lawn mowing service for which I get no benefit. I would never hire Metro Gardens or refer the company to anyone else.
Description of Work: This company had been providing services to my townhome complex for 2 years. In 2012, the mowers threw small rocks into my patio glass door and shattered it. In 2013, a weed whacker threw a rock into my front glass door and shattered it.

+ -1 moreInitial meeting went great, have not heard anything from him since. Not sure if project was too big? Too small? He came highly recommended, I hope something unfortunate didn't happen that has not allowed him to respond.
Description of Work: I was referred to Metro Gardens by my realtor. I filled out the online request form. Curt called and set up appointment to come out. He showed up on time and we reviewed the items that i was looking for. We set up another date for measurements. In the meantime, i had emailed him additional information that did not mention in the initial meeting. Absolutely no response to the email. The second date arrived and no call and no show.

Description of Work: When I bought my house a year ago, the backyard was a mess. Weed-ridden, bricks, rocks, .... - a disaster! I tried to fix it myself, but it was more than I could handle. I hired Metro gardens to come clean it out and put grass in. I had a very tight budget which they worked with. They were prompt, professional, and extremely knowledgeable! I can't recommend them enough! I plan on using them again for the patio and front-yard landscaping. They're great!!!
