Dave Sante and his team have helped us with our log home for years. A more helpful, cheerful fellow, you'll never meet. He takes the time to explain why certain products and work is more effective than others. He knows logs like no other person. Kind, hardworking, patient and a true log expert, Top Notch Logworks are the best in the business. I ask a lot of questions and Dave consistently listens and answers with patience and offers sage advice to maintain our home in the best condition. His crew are just the best guys. We love having them at our house. They are clean, prompt, diligent, trustworthy and reliable. Recently, they fixed our log balcony that was cantilevered off our house and sagging. They came up with a beautiful, reliable, safe solution to improve the balcony and completed the project quicker than they told us, much to our delight. It's been nearly a year since Top Notch completed a beautiful, new enlargement (400 s.f.) of existing elevated deck in Edwards, CO. We were thrilled when the deck was completed on time and within budget. Jerman was a joy to work with--totally responsive by voice and e-mail. Jerman oversaw the project like a true experienced professional. The crew showed up daily without ever missing a work day, starting in mid-winter and completing the deck in early spring. All of the new elements match the existing deck elements perfectly such that it is impossible to tell Top Notch's work is not part of the original deck. From the timbers to the stone and masonry work to the decking, the staining, and fencing-everything PERFECT. Many people recommended Top Notch to me and now I'm happy to recommend Top Notch here to anyone needing this type of construction.

Top Notch was able to complete our project ahead of schedule and under budget. Their workmanship was quality and performed with care. This was specialty work and they had the experience and mindset needed to complete the project.

We could not be more pleased, impressed, and thankful for Dave Sante and his crew’s attention to the re-do of our Trex front and back porches and railing systems. We found ourselves in a terrible situation in January 2023. Our Certificate of Occupancy on our modular cabin in northwest Colorado was revoked as well as our Trex warranty because of a horrendous install of our porches and railing systems. The set crew sent out by the cabin company had no experience with composite decking - and the composite decking was an update for which we paid. The deck was installed with no attention to Trex guidelines or attention to detail or quality of work completion. We decided to call Trex directly once our Certificate of Occupancy was revoked - best decision we made since our move to Colorado! Trex forwarded us a listing of Trex certified builders - and there were only two listed in Colorado. I immediately called Top Notch Log Works out of Gypsum, CO being that they were only 90 miles away - and we needed help navigating this mess of an installation. Dave Sante, one of the owners of Top Notch, returned my call that afternoon. We began a series of conversations about what we needed and the process the rebuild would take. Dave managed a trip to our cabin in one of the worst winters Colorado has seen for years. He walked the porches and sent back his assessment and plan. We were in touch with Dave for about two months as plans were made, drawings sent, quotes given, and dates agreed upon. Dave was aware that we had a budget and keeping to it was important. Dave found ways to re-use materials, and we offered our guest room to the crew so that money could be saved on travel. The boys: Estevan, Allan, and Derrek, showed up on the day the work was to begin and stayed with us off and on for two weeks until the job was completed. The boys demolished the decks in a day. The boys put in 10 to 12 hour days. It was an absolute joy to watch them work together! The crew was very attentive to our need to get in and out of our cabin whether from the front door or back safely - and for the dogs to access the backyard. I absolutely love our new porches and railing systems. They are sturdy - beautiful - and safe! I was in touch with Dave Sante throughout the process - just to make sure we were on time and on budget. We just received our Trex warranty the other day once again thanks to an email sent from Dave Sante to Trex - and we had our Certificate of Occupancy reinstated by the Routt County Building Department. My only wish is that we had had Dave Sante’s crew do the entire project. We allowed our contractor to make corrections to the staircases - and that, in retrospect, was a poor decision on our part. The staircases have not been completed to the same standard as TopNotch’s work on the porches and railings. My husband and I would recommend Top Notch Log Works to any client for any project without reservation! Dave Sante was communicative, professional, attentive, and kind at every stage of the project. We adored the crew that worked on our porches. They were equally communicative, professional, attentive, and kind!! I smile every time I walk out on the porches!!

For the past 10 yearsTop Notch has always gotten the job done on time and done it right for me. If your looking for any type of log work these guys are great. They've built gates, repaired gates and fixed numerous signs for the community I manage. Dave's bids are always competitive and the crew is TOP NOTCH, Pun intended.

New Railings done well, staining, though interrupted by rain, went well

Dave and his team were very responsive to my need for replacing the railings going up the front steps of our home in Vail. He also suggested some”defensive measures” to try and deter the wood ants from reentering the logs. (a minimal cost). His over all prices were fair and their service was excellent. Many of my neighbors have used TopNotch with the same results. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Smooth excellent work from beginning, I felt they really care what I need and Oto`s team met my expectations in full.

Everything was custom made. Their designs was exquisite. Their work was perfection. They were on time and on budget. Strangers will even stop by to comment on the appearance. I wished I would give them an A+. When I want to contact the company, every time I call there is always someone there to answer my questions or concerns. I never had to speak to a recording. Their name Top Notch is exactly correct.

I have used them for a number of years. They are great. They are responsive. They come out when they said they are going to be there and do the job that they say they are going to do.

The staff and sales at Top Notch we're very polite, honest and knowledgeable. In their quote they made very clear where the money was going and exactly what was being purchased. The employees were polite, on time, neat and courteous. They respected my property and family and left the job site clean and organized every day. I would hire them again and recommend them.

I hired Top Notch Painting to paint my condo in Gypsum, Colorado , and they did a great job since beginning. Mike has a professional demeanor as well as his crew. When it comes to painting, its was all about the prep work and the guys are professional in prepping the area, moving the furniture and keeping the furniture and floors covered. I was fully satisfied !!! I will hired Top Notch painting again to have my mothers garage painted as well Again, very professional and affordable. Will recommend them and use them again.
