The company used the wrong color of concrete. The owner and employee argued in front of us when they tried charge us more for the wrong color and discovered they screwed up. When we hired them, they ensured us they would "walk us through the process" that they'd be there the day it was poured. Neither were there or would pick up the phone when we were questioning the color. Larry said to wait 28 days to see the actual color and at that time he would come out and seal it a couple of different ways to try to fix the color. He says he is a Christian, that he is very ill and he needed to get money to pay his guys - (con artist) so we paid him a large portion of the bill with his promise that he would be back to fix the job. Well he is not answering emails and we have never been able to get him on the phone or leave a message because his voicemail is full (of irate customers I am sure). If I had looked at the YELP reviews beforehand I wouldn't have hired him. Please do yourself a favor and if you happen to run across this company- don't use them. I am sure he is close to being out of business and he could end up taking your money like he did ours. Three years saving for this and it's wrong and incomplete. I am so disappointed in this fellow human.

Project finished early and on budget for both me and my neighbor across the street. My neighbor had a basic concrete walk demo'd and re-poured (approx. 300 sq ft) and we had an old concrete slab removed and a new 500 sq ft stamped concrete patio put in. I have nothing but good things to say about N. CO Concrete and both Sarah and Larry were a true pleasure to work with. They arrived early or on time, they were very responsive to our calls, emails and texts and the price was substantially lower than other quotes we received (about $5/sq ft lower than other concrete companies). What a professional crew too! They brought in a crew of about 8-10 people with 5 trucks and got busy demo'ing old concrete right away -- took less than 1 hour. The project was supposed to run 2-3 days with demo, forms, pour, cleanup and it took less than 1 full day - WOW. Same thing for my neighbor - the job was completed much faster than we anticipated. The crew were polite, great communicators, and cleaned up after themselves (concrete spills, trash, etc). We both agreed that we would definitely hire N. CO Concrete again for any of our future concrete needs.

I waited 3 weeks for a phone call back just for a quote. As soon as I had accepted the quote they started right away. The work was damaged by the tenate. When I asked them to tell me how much to repair for damage and they never returned my call. This damage was being investigated criminally, and just needed them to write the repair cost up for me, so that the criminal case would cover the repair. I never received this and lost out on about $2000 because of it.

The communication from Northern Colorado Concrete was less than ideal. I first had them come out to quote expanding our patio, but after getting multiple quotes and hearing higher "minimum amounts" we decided to ask them to come back and add a walkway to the quote. That was apparently a mistake. Not only did they not remember quoting us and coming to our house (which I had to provide the written bid they gave us just a couple weeks before to prove it), but they also quoted us a different, higher price just for the patio and mentally "ball parked" an amount to add the walkway. Thankfully I had the lower quote from their first visit to get the price down. Following their quote visit, I called within the hour of their leaving and said we wanted to get on the schedule and book the job. Larry said he'd call me back. Days past and I hadn't heard anything. I finally called and they said they would try to work us in and gave me a tentative date. That date came and went and I called another time from work and asked when they were planning as we had landscaping that was being planned but would be worked around their project. They told me they planned on coming by that day but it was raining. I told them no one was home and so they would not be able to begin without direction. I got the condescending "Well isn't your wife even home?" sexist response to which I had to inform them No and that we both work for a living. There was another call exchange and I adjusted my work schedule between when they finally did show up. The guys who arrived were nice enough (dismissing the fact that they both smoked and drank their [non alcoholic thankfully!] beverages, but left their butts and trash on our property), however, they had no idea what it was that they were supposed to do for us. I showed them what the project was and they began work...for about two hours. Then they told me they had to go help on another job and they would "probably" be back Friday or Monday....come Tuesday and no sight of them I finally called to see what was up. No word back. They just finally showed up and started working when no one was home for a little while longer, and finished framing in the job, but then they vanished. No word or return call for nearly another week. Finally after saying in a message that I had landscapers coming the next weekend and they needed to get their stuff done and out of the way, they showed up and poured the concrete, walked through our garden to pick up their materials, no instructions on how long to stay off of it, and were gone. Oh I did get a follow up call to find out when they could pick up their payment. That seemed to be important enough to warrant a call. I normally love supporting local businesses but I expect the common courtesy of communication and a scratch of customer service. Very disappointed in their follow thru. So far, the work seems like it's holding up (only a few weeks later), but nothing I couldn't get from someone else.

The drive way started cracking within two weeks of installation. Larry the owner assured us that when the weather was warmer he would send his crew to repair it. They didn't come and many calls were made to Larry. He kept saying it would be fixed. He came out twice and marked the squares that needed replacing. The last time my husband spoke with him he said my husband needed therapy because he was crazy and dangerous. He kept calling us and threating my husband's sanity. We have moved from that location (5169 Buena Vista Dr, Greeley) but my brother-in-law is now residing at that location. Please make sure more people are not ripped off by Larry and Colorado Concrete. We filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau but they couldn't help us.

The initial process went well, timely, and quickly, in October 2012. However, within two weeks the concrete was cracking, chipping, and crumbling. When the owner, Larry Lohmann, came to check out our complaint he commented that he did not know why it was doing that but he would take care of it in the Spring when the weather was better. He never returned or called, even after ignoring at least six call made to him to see when he would come and repair the driveway. I was left with no alternative but to contact the BBB. Since that time, he has promised three more times that he would repair the driveway, but it never happened. He told me at least three more times that he would repair the driveway if I made a comment to the BBB that the situation was resolved. I did so, and he continued to ignore the repairs. (He even painted green arrows on the concrete so his workmen would know which areas to replace.) Now he is saying that the resolve comments were not enough and that he will repair my driveway if I completely remove my BBB complaint (the BBB does not do that in less than three years), which was not what he requested for the first two years we have been "doing battle." He has now (as of 6-4-2015) referred to me as a cheat, a liar, and in need of psychological counseling because HE will not follow through with his promises, having changed his mind about the necessary repairs several times. His last "promise" was one of two things:1), That I pay for the concrete repairs and he would pay for the labor of doing so, or 2), I could wait for two years and hope that the BBB complaint had been taken off its web site. Neither choice is anywhere near acceptable. I have given up my intent for repairs and will instead rely on my postings on the BBB web site and Angie's list - and anywhere else I can let the public know of my opinions of his methods of doing business and his prevailing prevarications.

I emailed the company to see if I could get a quote for a concrete patio because the website said to contact by email. A week later I finally got a call back and I was told that they could come over and take a look at the area where I wanted the patio and would give me a price quote. I was told that they would come the next day and that they would give me a call when they were on there way to my house. I never heard from them again.

I talked with Larry Lohman about replacing my old patio and one half of my old driveway. One half of my drive was newer and in great shape and didn't need replacement. He gave me a bid I thought was fair. $5200 approx. that evening I asked if I could have the patio made slightly wider and aside walk put on the side for a total price of $6000.He came the next day, measured and agreed to $6000. I told Larry I did not want the wooded 4x4's that support the patio roof set in concrete. He agreed and said the crew would jack up the room so the timbers were not in the concrete. The problems started when his crew tore up 2/3's of my good driveway. I got them to stop and told Larry. The next day was the concrete pour. I noticed that the crew was putting fiberboard around the roof timbers and the concrete was poured around the wood. I tried to talk to the crew but no one seemed to speak English. That evening Larry and his wife showed up wanting to be paid. I had written a check for $6000. Larry's wife said the bill was something else. I said that we had agreed $6000. Unfortunately I only had the original estimate. Larry said he may have agreed to that price but he couldn't recall as he was pretty full of pain killers from having a broken jaw. (Which he did have ). He became very agitated, demanding more money, be we had a whole new driveway, and he was losing money, and so on, I gave home an additional $250, but I told him that the extra concrete wasn't my fault. He wasn't here to oversee his crew at all. I signed saying the work looked good, Less than 3 later the entire 17foot width go my patio developed a crack. This crack is not in the expansion joints, and has continued to get wider and chip along the edges ever since. I called Larry and asked him to come out. He came out looked at the crack, said it was fine. All concrete cracked and the I "must have bad karma". He reminded me again that I got a "free" driveway out of the deal. I told him I didn't have a free drive he just had to fix his error. He told me he would be back out in the spring to look at the crack. He never showed or contacted me. The other issue is that now water is soaking into the fiberboard that was placed around the wood 4x4's and is rusting the supports and probably rotting the wood. I shared this concern with Larry at the time and he just shrugged off my worries. Larry says he guarantees his work and materials for 2years. This spring, less than 2 years later I noticed that the surface of the driveway and crumbling and chipping. It looks terrible. I called him and asked him to come over when my husband was home so we could discuss the problem. He arrived a couple of hours early, never even rand the doorbell and started looking at the concrete work. I went out to talk to him and he was visibility irritated that I was home. He said the surface problems were all due to magnesium chloride. I asked about the chipping and he said that I must be doing something to the concrete. Also the crack was fine. And of course I got a free driveway. I asked him if he was hong yo repair or fix any of the issues and his response was "that if I wasn't yelling at him and had a better attitude, he might have fixed or replaced some of the areas". I was not yelling. I was trying to stay calm. I have not heard from him since. I filed a complaint with the BBB, but have heard nothing in response. I found dealing with Larry to be a horrible experince and am totally disappointed in both the product and service.

Our driveway, while only six years old, was badly spalling and deteriorating. Using Angies list we secured bids and Northern Colorado was in the middle. It was, however, a local firm and we liked Mr. Lohmann who bid the project. When asked, he assured us that he would be personally supervising the project and that their company (which I believe now to be he and his wife) would stand by their work . A contract was entered into which included sealing of the concrete and permits on May 21,2013. One third of the payment was made upon signing and the remainder was to be paid on completion. This changed however, when an early payment, before the project was fully completed was made because the company had payment problems with thier creditors. They asked for another advance which we gave. The project was begun approximately two weeks after the contract was signed. The crew had, I believe, only one English speaker and Mr. Lohmann was never to be seen. The crew, for the most part, seemed to know what they were doing and we, obviously had no expertise in the pouring of concrete. In the course of the demolition of the old drive way however, the crew broke part of the sandstore rock which was a portion of the stairs in our entryway. We were told this would be repaired. Upon completion, the driveway seemed to have an odd discoloration in parts, we were told that we would have to wait for it to dry. The attitude was that we were a pain and stupid. Our contact was Mr. Lohmann's wife. They then sealed the driveway without power washing it which resulted in dirt in the seal which further added to the discoloration. A large crack by the entry way then developed as well as hairline cracks. We were told that the things would be repaired. The sandstone was repaired with an off colored grout which required us to hire someone else to repair it. On 7/6/13 we finally talked to Mr. Lohmann who promised correction to the rest of the driveway. We have heard nothing further and we are tired of chasing the company. We will the driveway repaired and pursue other remedies. I cannot recomend this company.

First of all they arrived late. When the owner of the company came out he let us know that the workers would be Spanish speaking gentlemen. I told him that I had a problem with that because I could not communicate with them. The owner told me that he or his wife would always be out at the job site. I only saw his wife out on site for about a half hour of the entire project until they came to get their money. They had a skid loader. They would try and load the skid loader so heavy so when they moved it they would created big ruts in our yard. We had to go get topsoil to fill in these ruts ourselves. They splashed concrete on the vinyl siding and the covered patio as well. They did not clean this up. It took my husband a number of hours to clean this up himself. The finish on the new concrete is rougher than any concrete we have ever had poured on any of our four homes we have had in the past. We felt that they were more interested in how fast they could do the job than doing a quality job.

Job was completed on time and as described. We were out of town, so did not interact with the crew. Jobsite was left clean. Excellent experience overall. Someone answered the phone when I called and explained how I would hear from Larry to discuss the project. He gave me an estimate and scheduled the work to be completed on the following Monday. Wow! The project was completed as planned and looks terrific. They arrived that afternoon, prepped the area including removing one damaged section and placed forms. They arrived early the next day and poured the concrete. They were finished about 24 hours from the time I recieved the estimate. Their workers were neat and professional. They left the yard cleaner than they found it.
