I called A1 when the company that normally services our HVAC system couldn’t get to our home for several days. A1 told me they could have a technician at our home later the same day. Not only did they get a tech to our home that day, he was there 2 hours prior to the estimated time frame. I cannot praise Gered Stovall, the tech that worked on our unit, enough. He quickly diagnosed that the unit was low on refrigerant and replaced it to get the a/c working, but he then worked to find out why the unit was low on refrigerant and while it was a fairly costly repair that couldn’t be completed the same day, Gered and the staff at A1 worked diligently to come up with an economical and viable solution. Gered was, professional, communicative, prompt and incredibly knowledgeable when it came to servicing our a/c and I would recommend him and A1 to anyone!

Didn't find anything wrong with the furnace lighting but got it to start working. Checked the other parts of the furnace and they were okay. Nice guy, and he came out the day before Thanksgiving, when everyone else was closed. He was in and out in 25 minutes

The job went on well. We got him on Angie's list and he did a great job. We were very pleased with them. He came out at the same time we called him.

This company comes up for water heater installation but they cannot install water heaters because they are not plumbers. This needs to be clarified on this list. It is misleading information - both for the customer and for them.

Not well. No air for the night. Wanted to replace the unit, which would cost over $600.00, and would take until July 2 to replace. Called another company, checked the wiring, topped off freon, and cost was considerable lower without the need to replace the compressor and condenser. System fixed the first time with other company!

Everything went well. After calling A-1 and setting up the appointment it was requested to leave the furnace off after it turned off on its own. The day that they were scheduled to come to our house the furnace did not turn off like it had been. A-1 then had me wait until the furnace turned off on its own again so they could properly diagnose the problem. After a few days the furnace did turn off on its own and after a call in the morning they were at our house fixing it an hour later.

Great job. He counciled us about replacing our system and talked us out Of adding an extra air conditioner. Darren was the only one who actually evaluated our broken air conditioner and considered the age of the house. Super group to work with.

See above for details. Since I am on ai fixed income, A-1 was able to finance me for a six month period, which was the only thing that allowed me to get the work done. Darren is an excellent technician and I will sk for him again by name should I have any furnace or AC needs. He was efficient, friendly, and thorough and most of all, their prices were fair.

I received a call from their office before the appointment, both to make sure that I was there and to inform me that the technician, Slade, was on schedule. He was prompt in arriving. I didn't hover while he worked, but Slade seemed to take enough time to check the air conditioning system out thoroughly. It apparently needed coolant, even though he couldn't find any leak in the system. I would have liked the repair cost to be less, of course, but but I was given a discount via the Angie's List connection.

Very well, see above. Did not find phantom problems. Only suggested upgrades when we asked.

The technician arrived right on time. He was very personable and most proficient. Within just a few minutes he had located the problem. Someone had done some wiring on the fireplace in the past and there was an open circuit in the wiring. He repaired the problem quickly and the fireplace now works like a charm. He also addressed a noise problem we had with the pilot light. It's now not even noticeable and before you could hear it throughout the room.

Amber was professional and polite on the phone when I first called, and got me the first available opening. AMber kept me in touch on the status of my technician, and tried to get me an earlier appointment, when I asked at the last minute. Great Job! Darren was professional, experienced, and gave me some great pointers that I didn't know regarding my A/C unit! Darren ensured everything was reviewed and taken care of! Darren is a valuable asset to your company and crew! I would recommend him, and your company over any other A/C company in Greeley! They came out yesterday. I flipped it and the switch wasn?t as hard as it should have been. He showed me how to flip through hard and didn?t charge me a service charge. He was very pleasant and professional. He was quick to just check it out. They do billing. It was a very nice experience. He gave me his card and I will keep it. They were really efficient. The secretary called and said that he would come down and that was really nice. They were punctual. They were here when they said on time. He was very pleasant and professional when he came to the door.

My system was not cooling and we had been having issues with it over the last few years. I called A-1 and a technician (Darrin) was dispatched and at my house within two hours. I happen to be home that afternoon and know enough about A/C to be helpful. He appreciated my limited involvement as he tracked down the reason why my system did not have any freon. I gave him the history over the last two years and what the previous company said they performed. He checked every inch of the system to determine what the status was, pulling apart the unit in the basement and and crawling around in limited access areas with a UV-light and his freon detector - all the while explaining what he was doing and what he was looking for. He pressed up the system with a little freon and nitrogen to 200 pounds to check for leaks (something I haven't seen anybody do before). Once he narrowed down the problem, he evacuated the system, calculated the volume required and filled it right - the first time. He gave me a break on the freon which was unexpected but very appreciated and we agreed that a system check in two months would be in order to make sure things were still holding. He also cleaned the coils for no charge and gave me some tips to keep my system in good working order.As a professional contractor myself, I appreciated the way he carried himself and represented his company. Employees like him are not easy to find. He showed up with all of his tools, equipment and a can-do attitude. If you are reading this, give them a call. I've been burned before so I know what to look for. A-1 did a fine job, explained what they did, why they did and gave me the costs up front. There was no upselling, no bait and switch and no scammy tactics. I'll be using them again...

I called Darren because the furnace in my new house was extremely loud. He explained that the noise was due to the way they had designed the system so that there was only one cold air return for the whole house going directly into the furnace. He was able to modify the cold air return by making sheet metal baffles to redirect the air flow and was able to reduce the noise by well over half. He also noticed that the filter didn't fit snuggly and was letting a lot of dust into the system, so he took the time to modify it so it would fit and perform properly. While he was here, I also asked Darren to install a new thermostat for me, which he did. He also tested and cleaned my air conditioner. He did an excellent job and was very happy with his services.

Service was prompt and professional. The problem was found and fixed right away. I got clear answers to all of my questions. Very fair price. I will recommend A-1 to friends and family.

I was very impressed and would call A-1 again for all my heating problems. I have no idea what other businesses would charge for this repair but I also felt they were fair here to.
