+ -1 moreThey refused to honor the insurance I'd bought through them. I've moved a lot and this was my worst and most costly experience ever. They didn't even try to make good on their destruction. Awful! And they had been recommended by Angies List! Would never, ever, use them again.
Description of Work: Moved from Atlanta to Denver using United Van Lines. They were recommended by AngiesList. The packed up the equivalent (they said) of a one-bedroom apartment. I oversaw the packing which went fine. I was satisfied that the art, boxes, and fine furniture would be safe. I didn't know that everything would be taken apart and repacked as soon as it left my house, because Allied wants to make absolutely sure that the homeowner isn't packing damaged goods and taking advantage of them. The repacking was done out of my sight and it was an absolute disaster. Some of my fine furniture looked as though it had been dropped from the second story. The rest of it was broken, dented, scrapped, scratched, gouged or missing. They would not honor my claim for missing items because I didn't report them the day of delivery, when everything was such a mess it was impossible to tell what was there.

+ -1 moreThey are a very trustworthy company. I have used them three times before and they keep doing the right thing at the right time with the right price. They are very professional and careful. I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: United Van Lines helped us to pack and unpack 4 rooms of furniture and moved us 1500 miles. They broke nothing during the moving.
