SERVPRO OF GRAND JUNCTION

The first day they set up a blower fan to float the carpet and a dehumidifier, then left for nearly a week (it was around the holidays). The insurance adjuster was immediately concerned that the wall and window had not been opened up and inspected for moisture and mold. I scheduled for both the adjuster and Serv Pro to be there at the same time. Serv pro showed up a little early and used an electric moisture meter stabbed into the drywall and had determined that the wall was dry. I told them I believed the wall had moisture in it because the burst pipe sat above it. It took a little coercion by me an the insurance adjuster to get them to open the wall. When they did they found extensive water damage and some mold along the two by fours along the floor as well as mold in the window frame. I am disappointed that had the adjuster not been there to coach them along, this inexperienced crew would have left us with mold spores. I have to say the young crew (which seemed to substitute a few different people depending on the visit) was very professional and carried themselves well, it's just that they seemed very hesitant to open things up and take care of the problem.

They had a really straightforward work process but they had a problem with the billing. They just didn't make it clear that they were going to bill the insurance company directly and as a result our claim with our insurance took a little bit longer to process.

We had a water leak in the ceiling, and it fell down with all the insulation. Servpro dried everything out, and figured out how far the water had leaked. They took a lot of pictures, and cleaned up everything. I thought the employees and staff went over and above. They made sure everything was correct, and were happy to come back if something wasn't right.

They did a very good job considering the whole situation. They were very courteous, understanding, prompt and thorough. They made sure I knew what was going on at all times. They came back after the construction was done and helped me move some furniture because they thought the carpet was still wet earlier.
