Needed a pressure test and repair on a red tagged gas system. Was told repeatedly by Peterson's Manager/Master Plumber that they were a flat rate company?!? More interested in the pay than the job. I was charged $3,150.00 before they would start the repairs. Estimate was for 2 men to execute repairs. Master plumber showed up ALONE, an hour late, without adequate parts or supplies to execute the repair. I was told at that point that new inline stops would have to be installed at all gas appliances before the pressure test could be done. COMPLETELY UNNECCESARY! Disconnected 4 furnaces, a water heater and 5 ranges to install new stop valves. Installed 12 new ball valve stops and replaced one 1 1/2" 90 degree black pipe elbow with a 24" wrench he had to borrow from me. WHAAAAT? At that point I was told that the estimate did not include reconnecting the furnaces or appliances. Couldn't leak check either because he didn't have any CO2 or a compressor in his truck. Returned the following day for an hour and a half without really doing anything, then left for another job. Said he would see me in 5 days at which point it would cost $220.00/ hour?!? Who in good conscience leaves 6 units and their elderly occupants without heat or hot water for the sake of tying up more business? Who charges $3,150.00 for 8 hours work? Who walks away from a gas system that ended up having 23 leaks at joints that they "repaired"? Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't a "Master Plumber" have tools and materials on their truck especially when billing out at $350 an hour? I was in the building trades for 45 years and am familiar with ethical repair practices. On the bright side, the REAL plumbers I know got a real belly laugh out of the attempted execution of this job! BEWARE of this company. Nothing short of scam artists in my honest opinion. Completely unavailable to address the wrong doings after the fact. Understandable if my experience was any indication of how Peterson's treats their customers. I feel sorry for the poor girl that has to answer the phone at this business.

Ok. Toilet was tuned up. Other stuff I needed done had to wait. Way too expensive.

It was awesome They were really good people and knowledgeable. We used them for numerous things. I would definitely recommend them. We never had any problems with their work.
