Ruben and JR were courteous and quoted me several estimates as the complexity of the job changed and the work proceeded. I asked for a breakdown of the final estimate of $5,150.00 and they said they didn't do that. I had my doubts then, but the work was already in progress so I let them proceed. The new patio they poured was satisfactory except hose marks were left in the cement when they were watering the new cement. They said these marks would fade as the cement aged.Ruben incorrectly reconstructed the wooden fence. A piece of the fence was left over so he cut other parts of the fence to "make it fit". The boards were not put back in the correct order, as some boards were higher than others, and one unpainted side of a board that had been facing the other way was now showing, as well as other unpainted parts. When I talked with Ruben about this, he said that's the way it had been. I was upset and talked to JR about it. In response, JR asked me if I believed in God and in Jesus, our Savior. He further declared that I should be thankful for the things God has given me, and this little fence episode was nothing to get upset about. He said Ruben was in the car crying about it. I responded, rather sarcastically, that God and the fence had nothing to do with each other. Ruben said they did and walked back, crying, to his vehicle. I took pictures of the fence. If I had made two grown men cry, I was very sorry, but was still upset about the fence. JR and Ruben came back with Jerry, a "fence guy" who worked for a fence company in town. Ruben still denied putting the fence back in the wrong way. JR asked Ruben to wait in the car. As Jerry reconstructed the fence once more, he and JR were laughing at the job Ruben had done. Jerry aligned the fence and all but the corner where the missing piece had been looked pretty much like it had originally. The missing piece couldn't be used because Ruben had cut parts of it to fit in a place it didn't belong. Jerry had an extra board he was going to use to replace the one ruined by the cutting. Jerry wasn't certain on how to make the corner look like it had before Ruben had put the fence back together, so he said he needed a day or two to think about it, gave me his phone number, and left with JR. To date, Jerry has not returned my calls.
Description of Work: 1. Took part of my wooden fence down to remove my 10 1/2' x 7' Rubbermaid shed (which could have been taken apart and reassembled). 2. Removed existing stone surrounding the existing patio and the damaged sidewalk. 3. Removed the damaged sidewalk. In the process they damaged a part of the existing patio so they also removed that part of it. 4. Poured concrete. 5. After concrete job was completed, reconstructed the wooden fence.
