We contacted ComfortAir for a quote. Their representative, Marty, did not show up on time, so we called him. He stated he had forgotten about the appointment. When he did finally come, he stated he would send us a quote within a few days. We did not receive a quote for over a month. Now, several months later, we have received an invoice for a full A/C installation. We never contracted with them, and they never started any work. We still have not put in any A/C in our house, so they are clearly incorrect about this situation.

They installed my Air Conditioning when house was built. I used them to preform maintaince on all the equiptment. I had a problem an they came out and put in freon. That lased until the next year. They came in and supposely checked all my heating and air conditioning systems but latter in the year the air conditioner went down again and the tech check the system supposedly and it was a reostat and he did not have one on his truck. said he would be back but never showed up. So I called someone else and found out it was really a low freon problem and the Air Conditioner had cobwebs all over it so the comfort tech and never even opened the Air conditioner up. Which I had assumed was the first thing he would have done. The Second Tech found the leak and put freon in and the system was working again.

Bottom line - products are good but attitude and follow up service by Comfort AIr and Lennox are sorely lacking. I'd say stay away from them!
Description of Work: The heating system and tankless water system installed by Comfort Air seem to be very efficient - my issue is with the furnace manufacturer (Lennox) and the owner of Comfort Air. There were two rebates available on the purchase of our new furnace - one from the manufacturer, and one from our energy provider. It took a number of phone calls and emails to get information from Mr. Dehart so I could complete the application for the energy company rebate. Finally got all that done and received the rebate for $50. The second rebate, worth $200, was from Lennox. From the beginning Jim Dehart said he would submit it for us. After checking with him several times over a period of 4 or 5 months he finally said that he had submitted it but Lennox wasn't replying and would we like him to pay the $200 to us and he would continue the battle w/ Lennox? Since he seems better situated to deal with his manufacturer, I said that would be much appreciated and yes, we would take him up on that offer. That was back in January, '10 and guess what?! No rebate check from Mr. Dehart. No further comments, zip. We lose $200 but he has lost our trust and good will. I emailed him that we would not do further business with him or Lennox and never heard another word. When we made the payment for the furnace and new tankless water heater I wanted to pay with a credit card to take advantage of mileage points. I was informed that there would be a 3% penalty if I used a credit card. On more than $7K that's a chunk, so paid with a check. Don't cc companies frown on such a practice? There was also the issue of some fine tuning on the furnace -- it made a whistling sound at start up. We made arrangements to leave our front door unlocked so one of his workers could go in and check it out. That never happened either. It's finally stopped whistling on its own, but the bad experience and lack of good service after the check cleared has left us with a very unpleasant memory about Comfort Air, Lennox and Jim Dehart.
