Brandy's Cleaning Service

"I was hired to do this job over the phone. I usually do not take on a job with-out doing an estimate. I was asked to do a deep-clean on three bathrooms, and the kitchen. I was told that everything would be cleared out, so i could complete the job. This house was by far not ready to be deep-cleaned. There were belongings in all the cupboards, on the countertops. The refrigerator and freezer had food in it. When i arrived, i was told there was no electricity and was expected to clean the bathrooms upstairs in the dark. There was a bag of ice left in the freezer, which ended up being a big project. There was also a leak under the kitchen sink that was not mentioned to me, and that took a while to clean up. If everything was packed up and cleared out i would have been able to get this done with-in the time frame. [Members Name] told me that the oven would just need wiped out, because he did the self clean. When i talked to his wife she asked me to clean the oven because of not having electricity she couldn't do the self clean. The bathroom down stairs was full of their belongings. there were several things on the floors. If this client wanted me to do a deep clean, they should have waited to schedule this when they were actually ready. I spend a lot of my time moving their things out of the way and throwing things away. The only reason i agreed to do this job over the phone, is because i know how stressful moving can be. I trusted [Members Name] that this house would be ready for a deep clean, and clearly it was not. I stayed an hour extra with-out pay just trying to get things done for these clients, and didn't expect to be paid for that. I will no longer agree to do a job with-out doing an estimate."
