Ed exerts a cool calmness that can only come from years of home inspections. We spent roughly one-and-a-half hours going over my new house. He knows exactly what to look for and what is and isn't code. As we walked around he offered wonderful tips and suggestions about the gutters and some of the electrical circuits. Taking photos and notes never broke his stride or interrupted his conversation. Ed is the only person I know of that uses a thermal camera and that allowed us to see that insulation was where it should be, there were no leaks and that the fireplace could use some insulation. The boiler had a pinpoint gas leak that I'm still not sure how he found it. Sheer skill or plain luck, either way he found it before it could become a much bigger problem. When all was said and done I left feeling very confidant in the inspection. There wasn't a stone unturned, an outlet untested or a corner checked. I could not recommend Ed enough. He is worth every single penny and more. If you want a through and professional inspection give Ed a call. You won't be disappointed.

Very thorough inspection. I hired Ed after reading the reviews on Angie's list. He went through the entire house and the report he issued was thorough and honest. My husband was especially impressed with everything covered in the report. Very pleased.

I am a Realtor and refer a list of inspectors to my buyers. I had a buyer use Ed for an inspection where he found a great deal of serious problems on that house. He was willing to come back out over and over again while the problems were being corrected to give the Buyer his opinion and to explain everything. Naturally, when I was buying my next home, I called Ed. He walked me through the house, explaining things that even I didn't know about (and I look at houses all day long). He has a few spelling errors on his reports, but is very thorough. Some Realtors do not like home inspectors as it can blow a deal, but I would rather know (and I'd rather my buyers know) every single issue that could come up. He does a great job of explaining the severity of a problem too, that something needs addressed but isn't a safety hazard or yikes, this is a big problem.
