Just like the other reviewer - the job was sold - the person who sold it never came out to check the onsite work of the people hired -he had a failure to communicate - nothing was ordered on time - people don't show up when they say they will - trash all over our property - .... They wanted final payment on the last part of the job before it was completed which is a big no no .... - based on the other Angie's list reviewer above we put in a penalty in the contract of $25 per business day for late completion (giving them a few extra weeks to complete from what they told us) .... well - they decided not to complete the job instead .... The sub contractor Buildabout - Ralph Mantrell - points at the person who sold the contract - Chris White - Chris points at the sub contractor ..... The delay has been so long - that they now owe us money - so instead they tried to renegotiate since it is so far behind schedule and have us pay up front so they can walk off the job a second time .... Wow - No thanks - save your money - find someone else who will actually do they job they are hired for.... I have never seen this kind of unprofessional behavior in someone who actually wants to stay in business.

It took a very long time. The contractor cashed the first deposit check on May 28 and finished the building in early October (actual on-site work time was 8 to 10 days and it took more than four months). To make a long story short, the contractor dropped the ball many times, misordering the steel, not checking all materials when delivered and then having to re-order, not being able to provide a crew to start the work, and then when the crew finally showed up they had another job in mid-progress that they were also trying to complete. But it is now finished and a very nice building. My overall impression is a contractor who doesn't want to be on the job site overseeing the crew, but would rather try to oversee the work from his office and get the homeowner to be the on-site superintendent (free labor). All in all, I am pleased with the building, but the long process has slowed me down, too late in the year to pour concrete for apron, running out of time to get the electrical done.
