A-Team Sprinklers LLLP

In 2022, we hired the A-Team to install an all new sprinkler system in our yard and pasture. I was disappointed from the start with the work. I’ve been fixing these deficiencies since the project was completed. The bury depths are substandard. I have pipes buried too shallow to aerate. I have found bury depths from 3 inches to 8 inches. I’ve had to dig up several sprinklers to remove rocks and debris that were left in the lines during install causing blockage. On July 16, 2024, I had to replace the power line to the pump. I called A-Team to do it in May. They kept saying “next week, we’ll be over” or I’ll have Nathan call you”. Never happened. They finally quit taking my calls or returning voicemail or texts. The power line installed was 14 ga. wire on a 20 amp, 220v circuit. 14ga. is too small for a 20amp circuit. Bury depth was found to be 3-8 inches. Immediately under the pipe. Caution tape was used, but it was laying on the wire. Worthless. If you hit the caution tape, you already hit the wire too. I had to replace the wire because the line kept shorting out and tripping the breaker. I found the culprit, an improper splice. The ends of this splice were merely taped together then had heat shrink over that, but the heat shrink was open at both ends. Not a waterproof connection at all. None of the connections at the control valves had waterproof wire nuts either. They were all just taped. These wire nuts were provided from the beginning. My wife had to go through and redo all their connections. Also, the pasture sprinkler lines were only 3-8 inch bury. I specifically told the A-team 1-1/2 foot bury so I could disc the field occasionally. Nice enough guys but save yourself some trouble and hire reputable professionals.

Needed a repair. Unfortunately Brian, who had worked on my system in the past, is no longer doing the work due to health reasons. So the guy that took his place did the work. He had to come back out twice to fix his mistakes and still didn't get it fixed. I had to have someone else come and finish the job. I DO NOT recommend this company.

The A Team replaced the missing heads, re-aligned the sprays, and replaced the leaking control valve. They also checked out the rest of the system and cleaned out the pump filters. They were prompt, courteous and professional. Since I was new to sprinkler systems, they took great pains to carefully explain the system, how it worked, what they were doing, etc. I felt their charges were very reasonable and I will definitely use them in the future.

We've called Randy and Brian in the past for repairing broken lawn sprinkler heads and so when we discovered our law sprinkler would not shut down at 8:45 p.m., we tried calling. Though it was a Friday evening, they promptly answered the phone and came within minutes to turn off the main irrigation valve and repair the issue. This was much appreciated, rather than having our lawn flooded with water over the weekend. If you are thinking of having lawn sprinkler work done, give them a call first. We'll use them again.

They were great. Friendly, professional and the pricing was fair. Will use them in the future for irrigation issues and winterizing.

Our in-ground sprinkler head was flowing like an eruption of the Old Faithful geyser at Yellowstone, so we contacted Randy and Brian at A-Team Sprinklers through Angie's List on a Saturday evening. That evening, they responded by email, and we arranged for a visit the following Tuesday afternoon. At the expected time, they appeared at our house and quickly determined that the head had broken and made a timely replacement. They also adjusted two other heads that were spraying water onto the driveway. We'll use them again, including to winterize our underground system this fall. Recommended.

The A Team was very prompt and thorough with taking care of the problem. They helped explain what had happened so I could get a better understanding of the system. I will use them again in the future.

Water gushing out due to break in line. A-Team came right away and fixed with parts on their truck. Had to go get a part to complete repair. Excellent service. Will be calling them for the sprinkler line winterization this fall and to replace the pump turnoff valve then when the irrigation system water is shut down.
