Description of Work: Originally given this name by State farm to look at roof for hail damage prior to filing claim. I had appointment with Lee to look at roof when I would be home, but he came the day prior (he was in the neighborhood) and was on the roof without my being there. He called to let me know there was definite hail damage that day. I filed claim with State farm, and because i was upgrading shingles and was considering additional work, I went with a bid process, J and K being one of them since they had good ratings with SF and on AL. I called Lee, and was a bit uncomfortable with the presure to use them above any other company. However, he did answer my questions regarding ventilation, etc. He then said that someone else would actually contact me to measure my roof and give an estimate. It has been two weeks at least, and i have heard form no one form J and K. I will not be using them.

Did not work with the company.
Description of Work: I requested an roof estimate through their website. They did call me back within 2 days which was very timely. However when I described my roof leaking problem I was told Carlos, their repair person, would call me back. It has been over two weeks and no call. I did, however, contact another company, Ace Roofing, through Angies List and they fixed my problem within 2 days.

Chris (the representative) was honest, professional, great at answering questions and kept things on track. The actual workman was a few days later than agreed upon and it took a follow-up call to actually get him to the house.

We were very happy with the results. They had great colors to choose from & we were able to pick a roof with a little green to match our house. They did the job in one day & did a very professional job installing the gutters. The few problems we had were fixed quickly & satisfactorily.
Description of Work: J & K Roofing put a new roof & gutters on our house after a hail storm. This was covered under our insurance.

Jim was very friendly, & answered any & all questions. They stuck to the original estimate with no extra costs added in. They surprised us by also painting all of the color vents & chimneys to match the color of the shingles. Job took an extra morning only because the shingle supplier shorted the order by 2 packs. This extra time was finished on a Saturday midmorning. Overall, a very good experience.
Description of Work: Overlaying new high-wind resistant shingles on the house & garage. At the same time adding new flashing around gutters & end edges. Also replacing roof vents & vent tubes.

WAS QUITE IMPRESSED WITH THEM FINISHING THE WORK IN ONE DAYS TIME. THEY LEFT SOME OIL ON THE DRIVEWAY FROM THE TRUCK, BUT CAME OUT IMMEDIATELY TO PRESSURE WASH IT OFF. THEY WORKED DIRECTLY WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANY, AND ENDED UP EATING 200 DOLLARS FOR ROOF VENTS THAT THEY SAID WAS NEEDED, BUT STATE FARM SAID NO. THIS WAS FINE BY ME, BECAUSE THE AGREEMENT WAS THEY WOULD TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING WITH STATE FARM, SO I DID NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR ANYTHING OUT OF POCKET, EXCEPT THE DEDUCTIBLE THE WORK ON THE ROOF WAS GREAT.
Description of Work: REMOVED AND REPLACED THE ROOF. REMOVED ALL OLD SHINGLES AND VENTS. INSTALLED NEW ROOF VENTS AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES.
