Very professional meeting with owner, received bid same day. Price was over double of what I had paid previously and that of another company which I ultimately chose. Always good to get multiple bids.

They came in for 3 days, 7 or 8 different employees came out, one of them a supervisor. They were in and out and didn’t complete all of the work. They messed up the work they did and I’m still finding paint spots on the carpet and around the house. They were supposed to paint doors for me but they only painted part of the bi-fold doors, every time they are opened you can see areas that weren't painted. The owner only came out to pick up checks but wasn't available during other parts of the project to help and did not follow up.

There were numerous delays due to weather but overall the experience with Certapro was excellent. They were reasonably priced and worked hard to make sure the job was done right.

CertaPro subcontracted the job out to a guy that does auto repair and painting. What should have be completed in two days was streched out to six days and the job was not completed. I will have to complete the painting and replacement of some trim boards myself. We are still negotiating what should be adjusted from the final payment. I will never use CertaPro again.

They did a good job. I am pleased with them. I have used them before.

No complaints. They arrived one afternoon and unloaded some supplies. They were done by the following evening. The work was done well.

The work was excellent. We were very pleased with them. We found the painter very personable and flexible.

They were very efficient and clean. They cleaned up after themselves each day. They seemed very prepared. They are good.

They were very prompt. They were reasonably priced. They painted the house is a reasonable time frame. They were very respectful of our property. I was really pleased with them.

They certainly were patient in getting us organized in order to do that, it took us a while to be ready once we had contracted because we were remodeling. When it hit a 70 degree day throughout winter they accommodated our need. They worked h****** getting us on the schedule. Two men came to do the work, they primed and painted. While we were having a new roof and gutters, they came out intermittently to paint the fascia boards before the gutters went up. They were very efficient and accommodating to our special needs. I met Don at a Home Show and it was his professionalism that drove us to use their service. As always, it is good for the home owner to be present and alert to make sure everything you asked for is getting down.

I originally contacted a different Certa-Pro franchise through Costco 2 or 3 years ago, but they recommended the Golden franchise as it is closer to Evergreen and said that I should still get the $500 Costco discount. At that time, Don Molitor came out very quickly and gave me an estimate, which I thought was a little on the high side. However, he seemed very professional. We ended up deciding not to stain that year as several of the painters who came out said that our house really didn't need it yet. Last spring I saw a neighbor with a Certa-Pro sign in her yard and I stopped and asked her if she was happy with their work. She could not have given a more glowing report, so I decided to call them back again. I didn't even try anyone else. Again, Mr. Molitor came out very quickly and looked things over and said that the original quote would still be good. I was pleased with this as I had expected prices to increase. I also had him quote on my living and dining room and I was very pleased with that quote, as well. The only hang-up was regarding our decking. It had been done 2 years prior and there was a lot of peeling, which is not common with the high quality Rubbol stain. He wanted to have the Rubbol rep look at it first and see if it was defective or improperly applied, etc. We wanted to have all of the work done in June, which he said would be no problem. After he left, I discovered that the insurance info included with my old quote had expired and I also had decided to have a little more interior painting done than we originally discussed, plus the dates on the old contract were incorrect. I phoned him and he said that he would send a new contract with the correct dates and new insurance info. He would come out and measure the additional interior space when he came with the Rubbol representative. June passed without hearing anything from him, but the weather had been bad almost all month anyway. I wasn't too concerned about not getting the new contract or insurance info at that time. I called him again in early July and he said not to worry, that everything would still get done, but they had become backed up because of the weather and they might not be able to do our house until August. He had unfortunately been unable to contact the Rubbol rep. No more contact in July. In early August I called again and said that I was getting nervous, as the weather in Evergreen is unpredictable and snow in late August and September is not uncommon. He said that there were still enough good days even into October and not to worry. I said that I just wanted to reaffirm that he still intended to to the job and he assured me that there was no problem. I also told him not to worry about the Rubbol rep as we had decided that we were going to have the deck completely stripped and sealed instead of having it restained and that we had found a company that specialized in this work and we were just waiting for the house staining to be completed to have it done. We didn't want anything holding up the house staining and Mr. Molitor had never been interested in the stripping and sealing of the deck, anyway. Again, I was told not to worry and that they would get to us just as soon as possible. Late August, all through September, I called and left several messages, but never received a response. Finally in late September I called a couple of other painters for estimates, but no one could get us scheduled before the weather got too bad. After explaining to one painter why I was calling so late, he said there had been a lot of insurance claims in our area for hail damage in June and most of the painters were swamped. He suggested that the painter that I had verbally contracted with (Certa-Pro), had probably kept his 2 year old price because it was early in the spring when I called him, and with the current economy, he didn't know how much work there would be. Then, with all the insurance claims, he was able to command a much higher price and blew me off for more lucrative work. I don't know if this is true to what happened or not, but it does sound logical. One day in mid October I noticed Certa-Pro's number on my caller ID as a "missed call". They did not leave a message. In any case, at that point, I just ignored it. I have read good things on Angie's list and I might use a different Certa-Pro franchise at some point in the future, but I surely won't have further business dealings with the Golden location or Mr. Molitor.

I liked them very much. They made an estimate and schedule, and stuck to it. They cleaned up after themselves. They did a good job. They are a national franchise.
