+ -1 moreCarburetor needed to be replaced. Dan suggested a new engine instead of fixing and old carburetor. It was a little more costly but turned out to be a great idea. Now the rototiller runs like new, and the new engine is easier to fix if new problems arise. The old engine was an awkward design and parts were hard to get to. New engine starts easier and seems more powerful too. Dan also fixed it sooner than the estimated time.

Description of Work: Both my riding motor and snow blower had their annual service. The snowblower would no longer start due to fouling from gasoline with the alcohol additives. All were promptly repaired and returned. In addition the battery for the mover was replaced along with tire liners to prevent leaks future tire leaks from goathead burrs. Very please with the promptness of service, professionalism, price, and tips on buying better quality fuel for both machines. They have a new permanent customer.

Description of Work: Dan sharpened the blade on my lawnmower - it was on there so tight I took the entire machine in. He found that the oil fill tube was damaged and replaced that part as well and changed the oil. Great job.

He'd cleaned it all and showed us some tricks on how to better use, maintain it all. 100% great experience!!! Very reasonable prices!!! Dan actually cares about what he's doing and clearly does his best!!!

+ -1 moreGreat experience overall. They were good about communicating what needed to be done and how much it would cost. They were even willing to stay a little later after I got caught by a train on my way to pick up the mower. I would definitely recommend them!

+ -1 moreFine, They said it would take two weeks and it did. The price was about what I expected. They were responsive and kept me in the loop. The repairs worked. The owners and employees are smokers and have animals, so if you have allergies, that might be an issue, but it does not appear to interfere with their ability to get the job done. This place is very out of the way, get good directions.

They have done repairs while the mower was on the trailer so that we could make deadlines. They have told us how to fix things over the telephone in emergencies. They have been indispensable to the success of our business. They are dependable, hardworking, honest, affordable, and well, cool. We couldn't imagine retiring our business without thanking Dan and Patti at Dan's Small Engine for a great run!
Description of Work: Dan and Pattie sold us our first Walker brand riding mower and have serviced it through the life of our landscape maintenance business using this exceptional piece of equipment. The Walker mower, and Dan's Small Engine, allowed us to capture and keep a dream contract for 11 years of fabulous work experience. We are retiring our landscape biz now,and our mower has sure served us well and held its value.
