After installing the initial spring, the technician determined that it was not strong enough; so he upgraded to a stronger spring. In spite of the extra effort, the work was completed within a reasonable time. The end result appears good.

 + -1 moreOverall, I am very pleased with my new garage door and motor and I would highly recommend Martin Garage Doors of Colorado
Description of Work: Martin replaced my old 1 piece wood garage door, the tracks it runs on, and the garage door opener. After my initial order was placed, I changed my mind about the type of door, and Martin made the change without issue. The installer got to my house right on time and it took him just 2.5 to get it done and he did a very professional job. The only negative thing I can say is that when I was speaking with the scheduler about trying to decide on 1/2 or 3/4 horse power motor, she told me that the 3/4 horsepower motor would open and close faster than the 1/2. In reality the 3/4 opens and closes very slowly. Almost too slowly. My old garage door opened and closed pretty fast. Probably 2 to 3 times faster. It was a Chamberlain. But maybe this slowness is intentional as a safety issue. Aside from this 1 negative, the opener is a belt drive and super quiet. So quiet, my dog doesn't even bark any more when the garage door is being used.
