Turf Master Sod Farm

The services, from the sales rep Frank, (who cussed in front of my 3 year old, failed to respond to messages and walked off the job), to the unresponsive management and unreturned phone calls after an incomplete job leaves us without thousands of dollars and a horrible looking lawn. They did not finish the job nor offer to remediate, only stating we were “confrontational” after asking what they would do to fix the problems. Even if that was true (which it is not), the job we paid for is still not completed, confrontations or not, and that is what we paid for. New sod, not their opinions on how we handles our unhappiness with their lack of professionalism. They left an unfinished job with 100% of our money up front. They even broke our fence! Take it from us, do not do business with anyone who asks for all up front if the job isn’t complete. Sod was left out in sun on a pallet in 100 degree heat for 5+ hours dying before it was started to be installed, the ground was not properly prepped, and weeds and grass are now growing from underneath the new sod laid. They laid the sod in the wrong places. They left a mess, were unprofessional, disrespectful, and sadly did not operate in a Christian manner. We are having another local landscaper have to fix the problems, and they are shocked at the way our lawn was left by this company. Save your money and do business elsewhere. I guess turf masters does not care to help their customers. BBB will hear from us, as will Secretary of State and beyond. We are just shocked this is the way they operate.

They did an amazing job and so fast, took them only two days to come out and get it done. Their customer service was fantastic! They gave us complete, and clear instructions on how to keep our lawn looking great and they were the lowest price in our area. I will defiantly hire them again if we need anymore landscaping needs, and I would defiantly recommend them to others that need help with any of their lawn needs.

We had heard good things about Turf Master Sod and so after calling around for estimates, we determined that we would use Turf Master. We did so for a variety of reasons. First, the sales person, Jorden Ridnour, knew a lot about turf, he gave us a very detailed explanations about what type of turf would be best for us based on our watering and mowing preferences and the climate we live in. He explained how the process would work; prep-work, grading the yard, the proper way to lay the sod and the vital information about how important water is to new sod. Second, the crew that came out to prepare the yard (remove existing sod, till the dirt to mix in the ground up tree stumps, grade the yard so water would run away from the house and put the compost down before the sod would arrive. They worked very hard and each person knew what their role was they just did their work very professionally. The clean up after they had prepared the yard was awesome, they swept the street and sidewalk and left no evidence that there was a ton of compost there the day before. Third, the delivery teams, one for compost and one for sod. The drivers/delivery people showed up when they were scheduled and delivered their loads quickly and orderly. The sod appeared to be very fresh, there were no dry ends on the rolls at all. Finally, the sod installation. It was laid neatly and the patch in pieces were not on the edges and not really noticeable. While the sod was being installed, it was explained to us how to water, given watering gauge cups, what to watch for (burning edges, weeds, worms, mushrooms, etc.) A couple of months after we had the sod installed, we began to get saplings (we cut down 10 aspen trees in the yard and ground the stumps which were tilled in during prep work.) We called Jorden and told him about the saplings and he came out and sprayed a chemical on the entire yard and we have not seen a sapling since. We had been living with our old crabgrass filled yard for too many years and when we finally decided to replace the yard, we asked ourselves WHY DIDN"T WE DO THIS SOONER?! Our yard is by far the nicest in the neighborhood and the grass is so thick and lush we love to be on it and we even enjoy mowing it! The mower lines in the yard are so satisfying. I would HIGHLY recommend Turf Master Sod and Jorden Ridnour. It is the best investment we could have made and it really added value to our property. The ladies in the office were also very professional and answered any questions we had. Overall, this was a great experience for us. Thank you Turf Master Sod!

After calling other turf farms Turf Master won me over with the great care and instruction on grass types for my project rather than trying to simply sell me on any grass.

From start to finish the process was seamless (except for the turf for a couple weeks). I called Turf Master with questions. I was offered a free estimate. Within a few days we had met Jorden at our residence he then offered a quote detailed itemized with several turf options and an invitation to the turf farm for final inspection and turf selection. From that same visit on the farm we scheduled and paid for our renovation with an early pay discount.

Jorden was our primary contact. He was professional and gave great advice. The office was in frequent contact with us telling us what to expect and when. The crew was on time and did a fantastic and professional job. The fact that they grow special environmentally friendly turf made the decision to go with Turf Master an easy one.
