This company is truly top notch. My husband and I needed to replace an old deck and wanted to be sure to get something beautiful and well built. We researched companies and invited 4 out to bid. I was amazed that 2 of the companies could not demonstrate a clear understanding of what we wanted to do. Sundeck designs understands their business - really well. From the design process and working out details of the bid, through to the final product, these guys are absolute professionals. The owners are extremely knowledgeable and the crew was so easy to work with. They are friendly and approachable, clean up the site every day, and got the deck done quickly. This deck is stunningly beautiful with all quality components and workmanship including 2 colors (one darker around the perimeter and fascia). And, oh my goodness the two colors on the stairs are really striking. The railing is beautiful and the post caps have lights casting a small ray onto the deck edges at night. We couldn't be more pleased with the new deck or the experience along the way. We highly recommend Sundeck Designs!

Sent in multiple requests to get an estimate so I could possibly hire them to build my deck, never heard anything back. Sent emails, left voicemails, but they must be too busy to respond back in a timely manner. It's been 3 weeks now with absolutely no word from them. I understand it's deck season but maybe hire an assistant to answer calls and emails from potential customers, I'm sure they are losing a lot of business by not having one.

Once they got started it went extremely well. They made suggestions as things were progressing. The crew was efficient, neat and helpful. Everything was cleaned up every night.

Someone came out, who was very professional, for the estimate and told us they would have it to us in one week. Now it's five weeks later and we still haven't heard from them.

We could not have been happier with our experience with SunDeck. John and Laura were so helpful--from the wonderful ideas they had for our deck to helping us figure out how to make it work within our budget. They had great suggestions that we never would have thought of on our own such as added lighting and benches. Very pleasant and professional people to work with. Our deck is better than we ever expected. I would recommend them to anyone. Quality experience from start to finish. Their crew was also very professional. Depending on the time of year they may be booked out awhile but it's worth the wait. Fair pricing and solid product. They get an A+ from my family.

We had Sundeck along with two other deck contractors provide us with a deck bid. They provided us with the lowest bid of all three, and what's more is that they seemed to have much more experience and expertise in designed and building decks. Once we gave them the job they were very easy to work with and communicative. We felt comfortable that they weren't trying to take advantage of us, which was great! John and Laura were full of ideas but also willing to listen to our own. They were also very knowledgeable about codes and permitting, and able to work with the city on working through these issues. Their work crew was also great. Hope this helps!

Be forewarned, it's going to take some time to get the work done, but you'll be happy with the results. We had a pergola installed and the whole process from conception to installed to 6+ months of work and planning. It was worth the wait though. I would use them again.

John and Laura were great to work with. We asked for a few changes as we went through the process and they were very very accommodating and quick to respond. We are very happy with the work they did, it was on time, at the price they quoted. They came back immediately to take care of a few punch list items. Would use them again without any hesitation!

Laura and John Bridgham were wonderful in their work to get our decks replaced with quality workmanship and dedication to finish the work in a reasonable amount of time. They stuck to their original estimate, did exactly what they said they word do and expanded on that behavior by doing even more than expected. They are simply wonderful people to work with and if there is another project within their expertise, they will be the first people we will call. Another important factor is the Sundeck Design crew. All of them were very knowledge and courteous. They did their jobs very well and were well organized. This project was a major task and this company worked very well together with good communications and extreme dedication to make sure it was all done satisfactorily. They were friendly and knowledgable. Yet I have never received a quote for the project or a response to follow up emails and phone calls. It has been 7 weeks now without any contact from them.

John and Laura were fantastic to work with right from the start. They both came out to our house when we requested a bid for a new deck. thye had wonderful ideas and understood what we were trying to explain that we wanted in a deck. they prepared a sketch and cost estimate for us based on the initial meeting and then we discussed from final tweaks to the design to get the exact look we wanted and proceeded forward. John and Laura did exactly what they said they would do and were great to work with. they were responsiv to all of our questions and even wokred with us to make minor changes during construction to add lighting and move a stair location. John and Laura and their crew was very professional and showed a lot of pride in their work. Their quality of workmanship was incredible and they showed a lot of respect for our homw by keeping the work site cleaned up and well organized so it was safe for our dog and grandkids. My wife and I are extremely please with the final product and the workmanship exemplified by John and Laura and their wonderful crew. We would recommend them highly to anyone who wants a new deck!

Despite having to work around holiday schedules and extreme weather, we did get the deck done. John was good about letting me know when there were delays.The work crews were respectful and unobtrusive while they were on the job. We are very happy with our experience using Sundeck Designs. I recommend them highly.

John and Laura were fantastic to work with! The design process was fast and efficient and they were also felxible on changes throughout the design process. Their schedule was full and they were upfront about that recognizing some people aren't willing to wait once they've made the decision to take on a project like this. I was in no huge hurry so we agreed to stay in touch and they would add me to the schedule as soon as they could. That time arrived during the warm spell we had in Jan/Feb and they were "Johnny on the spot" to get me in the line-up. The crew was conscientious about my yard, the dirt/clean-up and my dogs. Everyone worked well together! John and Laura were great at communicating via email (which was my preference) and called when quick decisions were needed. They kept me informed of the crew's schedule and intended accomplishments each week. They made this process very easy on me!!!! Bottom line.....I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the deck and am using it even though the weather has turned chilly again. I can't wait for summer.

Excellent, turned out just like I pictured. John & Laura were great and their crew was very professional. I know they get extremely busy during the summer, but they are worth the wait. Quality was excellent and they do what they say they will do. I would recommend them to everyone!!

Crew was easy to work with and paid great attention to detail. I would definitely hire them again but because of the great work they did, I probably won't need to. Would recommend them to anyone that needs deck work -- new or repair.

I spoke with John Bridgham of Sundeck on June 1st 2014 asking for low maintenance options for the replacement of my deck. I sent him a detailed drawing and several photos of my deck later that day. On June 2nd, Mr. Bridgham responded thanking me for my drawing and photos and attached a photo of a suggested material. I emailed him back on June 3rd and said the material looked very nice and asked him for an idea as to cost. I emailed him again on June 4th as follows, "John?were you going to give me an estimate on this? ?Thanks" Since it's June 20th, and I haven't heard from him, I suspect he's busty, on extended absence, or just not interested in my job. I any event, he is unresponsive and unprofessional. I'm not longer interested in working with him, and require no further communication with Sundeck.

I had John and Laura come and give me a bid for replacing my deck. A beam was rotting and the wood deck was reaching end of life. The produced a single-level deck with stairs in a different location for a price that was not cheap but seemed OK. They were also dealing with a paint job that needed to finish and a deadline for an event for which I hoped to have the deck. They produced drawings and information that got me HOA approval, and they built the deck in time for my event with some weather uncerrtainty and with some parts unavailability. The deck is GORGEOUS and built well. The workers, including the owners at times, were great to have around.

John and his crew did an excellent job! The work was done according to plan and finished before the agreed upon deadline. Additionally, the crew remained flexible to my design input (changes) which made the entire process run smoothly. I will use Sundeck Designs again for the pergola addition and highly recommend their work.

It went very well. They were very professional. We are located in the foothills, some distance from town, and were very grateful that they brought their own restroom facilities (a camper) so that they were not coming in and out of the house all day. They worked pretty close to the schedule they set. It was a little delayed by all the flooding, but that was understandable. I felt very comfortable with their competence. They uncovered some construction issues that none of us had anticipated, and they handled them very well. They never failed to patiently answer my questions, which may have seemed a bit silly to them. We were very happy with the finished product. They worked hard to minimize the effect on our daily activities. They cleaned up after themselves as well or better than any other construction crew we have had out here. One thing that made a positive impression on me was that when they (the couple works as a team) came to make the estimate, they were very up-to-date by having an I-pad with sample pictures of their work. They clearly take pride in their work (deservedly so) and have offered to be available for any issues that might come up in the future (none have at this point).

They were graded highly on Angie's List and they performed services for folks in the neighborhood, so they came recommended and I called them up and they came out pretty quickly and I waiting on one other person to provide me an estimate and then I will make my decision. They were very professional and the plan they provided me was pretty intricate.

This project actually started almost two years ago. There were challenges and delays in the design phase due to space limitations for a staircase (which is why we ended up with a spiral), utility easements and the city permitting process. John and Laura persevered throughout, offering creative solutions to problems, altering design drawings time and again, and even meeting with utility representatives on our behalf. When work could finally begin, it went smoothly and quickly. They were able to do everything from the outside with ladders, so our tenant was undisturbed. John contacted us with regular updates during the construction process. Our communication with Sundeck Designs was definitely a two-way street, which helped make the project a success. For instance, we wanted to cut most of a deck side wall back to increase the view from the deck. John expressed concern that cutting too much might not look very good, but he listened to us and we came up with an approach that looks just fine. The decks and the staircase look awesome. Sundeck Designs is a good company owned by good people. I highly recommend them.

We looked around for a while for deck designers and bid it out to a few providers. We selected Sundeck, and started the project last summer. They were very busy at the time, so the beginning stages of the job were a little slow. However, once they got going, they were really rolling! They did a beautiful job, and my wife and I will surely enjoy this phenomenal deck for decades to come. I would recommend this builder to anyone.

When we bought our house, we knew the deck was in poor shape. I cut it down and found rotten wood, code violations, and poor craftsmanship. I estimated how much it would cost to do the rebuild job myself and then got 3 quotes. Sundeck quoted a reasonable price and had an intelligent answer for every question I asked them. They also made a diagram of the new deck which was very helpful. I checked their work periodically and am very impressed with what they built.

John was timely for the appointment to review our project - we wanted a roof built over a portion of our deck. However, he never got back with me on a quote or drawing, even after promising to provide it by a certain date. We got tired of waiting and found another contractor who was more responsive, professional and actually wanted to do the work. I don't think that John actually was interested in our project and thought it wasn't worth his time and effort.
