We had a few projects that we hired Monte to work on. Monte was very competent, honest and knowledgeable with everything we asked him to do for us. Monte did alot of drywall repair after we moved some lighting and other electrical work which created holes. The ceiling pattern was very hard to match and Monte did a great job. You cannot tell where he patched over the many holes. We had a steel garage door replaced and he did a great job. We had Monte rebuilt a kitchen drawer that was missing. He did a great job and it works fine. We also had an electrical problem, after the electrician we hired messed some things up. Monte figured out what the problem was. The electrical should have known. We had him remove a stinky chicken coop and I was very thankful he agreed to remove it. Monte did a great job and on everything we asked him to do and I am very happy I found a good contractor who can do work for me in Fort Colins. We agreed on a price and there were no surprises, no hidden fees. I will definitely use him again in the future.

Very competent, honest, and knowledgeable in all areas of construction and codes - predicted issues before they came up. Came well prepared. It cost me more than I had hoped because I had not realized the change in support structure required or the complexity of the existing structure. It was still considerably cheaper than other bids and his bid was very detailed. Very good work and exhibited great care in not damaging anything else. Best carpenter I have used in Colorado and probably the best I have talked to. I would use him for anything he thinks he could handle. I trust him and his work.

Monte was an incredible find for us. Ordering and delivery of our new custom front door and security door from Home Depot was an absolute nightmare. Having Monte do the install was the total opposite. He is one very talented carpenter. We live in a 1920's home in Old Town Fort Collins. installing a door in a house so old is no easy task. Monte got this done in a way that the new door looks like it has been there for years - and even better, he got it done quickly and always stuck to his schedule. He completed all the painting, touch up and cosmetic work. He was able to reuse a large amount of the original 20's siding, and what he couldn't use, he replaced in a way that matched the house and the time period. He also was extremely careful about keeping my house and property clean during the whole process. They regularly swept and vacuumed as the project went on. His colleague who came to help was equally as professional and talented. I have and will continue recommending Monte Sheets to my friends and family.

There were no hidden fees. He was always straight forward with everything he did. The work he did was wonderful, and I'll definitely be using him for future projects.

I am so glad to have found Monte Sheets when doing an online search for someone to make steps from our back door to the back yard. His attention to details so as provide a top landing and steps that feel safe and practical to me while staying within code was greatly appreciated. Monte worked with me on all the details, from support structure to tread depth to riser height to handrail design so that the end product would be sturdy and practical for me and my mobility issues. When in doubt whether something was what I had in mind, he sought my input. Monte and his helper Scotty were always on time, completed the work on schedule, and the final price was as estimated. My little family and I could not be happier!

Monte created 2 bedrooms with closets, a bathroom, a kitchen area, a media room and hallway in our bare basement with a little help from myself and some subs. Monte is a perfectionist as mentioned in the other reviews and works hard to provide an excellent result. He monitors the work of the subs to be sure they meet his standards. His cabinets are outstanding. We are very satisfied.

If you want it done right, have Monte do it! I rarely give roses or A's, but Monte on a scale of 1-10 is about a 14. I'm retired and was able to work with Monte. I gained a real appreciation for his attention to detail and extensive skill set. He's very conscientious, doesn't 'cut corners' and stayed within my budget parameters. He's also a great guy. It was a pleasure working with Monte and getting to know him. I give him my highest recommendation for any project you may have.

Monte is very detail oriented, which led to a great looking finished product. He made us a custom vanity, which looks great. Monte was knowledgable about all the steps in our remodel, but brought in subcontractors for bigger electrical and plumbing. He was very easy to work with, both in the design and construction phases. He listened to what we wanted and found nice looking options in our price range. His personality and fastidiousness made living through the renovation relatively painless. We would absolutely hire him again in the future.

Monte has been fantastic to work with. We keep adding things on for him to do so he's not done yet. What we love about him is he is quite the perfectionist. His wood working on our cupboards is beautiful, he can do almost anything you ask of him and he's just a nice guy. He's honest and hard working and really cares about doing a good job.
