Description of Work: This was a sales pitch to sell kitchen cabinets. It did not include designs or 3d renderings. A very simple waste of money. I do not know why anybody would pay to just hear a sales pitch |on something I am not looking for. I think Angie should refund the fee. |Doug

Hello member. I am sorry that there was confusion on this Big Deal offer. Just to be clear to you and to other prospective Big Deal purchasers, we do not require the purchasing of any materials to receive 3D renderings for your Kitchen remodel project. What we do require is some kind of idea of what you will want to use to remodel your kitchen. To aid in this process, we ask our clients to come down to our showroom to look at samples so we can construct an accurate rendering of your vision of what you would like your new kitchen to look like. This small requirement on your part is necessary whether we are remodeling your kitchen, bathroom, basement or entire home. As far as the sales pitch (and to keep in the spirit of the Big Deal savings throughout the remodel process), we also offer our Big Deal clients 50% off all cabinets as well as very generous discounts on tile if they choose use us to move forward with the remodel. The purchase of these materials is in no way a requirement. We have had great feedback from our clients who have reported huge cost savings by using us to remodel with these huge material cost savings. We simply want to build beautiful spaces by offering free design services, unheard of material cost savings and professional 3D renderings that allow our clients fit their dream kitchen into their budget.

We couldn't use Matt McHugh this time due to the delayed arrival of our tile from Italy. Matt was always excellent, working very hard to meet our timelines, but we couldn't get it to work out. In the end, his pricing was a bit higher than the installer who was available when the tile arrived, but I have no doubt that his quality of work would have been outstanding. He seems most willing to go the extra mile. I'll keep him on the list for my next design project.

I am sorry for not anwsering your call, Member. I am afraid you are not the only one. We experienced some technical difficulties with our phone service and we are sorry to say that there were quite a few calls we missed as well as messages we did not recieve. We have fixed the problem and are back to business as usual. Our clients can expect a call back within 24 hours when a message is left. Once again, I apologize if we inconvenienced you in any way.

From beginning to end, Matt McHugh and his crew were the dream team. Everyone wants the basics from people hired to do things around the house, and usually folks are happy if they just charge a fair price, show up to do the work properly then leave your house clean. How would you feel during the process if you discovered this man was antisan? Imagine finding that even the submaterials were put up as if it were a meticulous art project? When I came to check on him at the end of a work day I found him carefully applying a substance to those submaterials, but the perfection and precision of what he had constructed stopped me in my tracks. It was that elegant. It was obvious he took such pride in his work that it was as important to him to do every part of the job to the highest standards even if they were never going to be seen again. How's that for a trust factor? You can imagine how exquisite the tile job was. He laid it out in a pattern that gave it a grace I had not anticipated. It was perfect any way you looked at it. I am almost sorry I have to tell the truth here because we have several more complicated jobs for him to do in the future and I hope he can fit us in after leaving a review like this. This guys is an artist. If that's what you want, call him.
Description of Work: Originally we only wanted a hole repaired in our rarely used guest shower that was broken through in order to fix a broken pipe. During our consultation we both saw the tile buckling badly and significant cracks had developed for many feet along the grout lines. Prior to the visit of a guest who stayed a while, I had cleaned it, and there was no damage yet. Clearly the guest's long stay had triggered the shower's degraded condition. Upon examination Mr. McHugh discovered that the shower had been built originally without waterproofing of any kind and showed that to me. Now we were looking at tearing out the entire shower and rebuilding it.

Matt was very personable and professional for the estimate, scheduled the day after I called. He showed up on time, and measured everything, promising an estimate "next week". After a week when I called him, he explained that he was "busy". Three weeks later (4 weeks from the initial visit), I can hear the crickets, not a peep from Matt, no estimate, no phone calls, nothing. He's even posting new Craig's List ads. He may or may not be competent; but he is certainly flaky, flaky, flaky. I would (and will) stay clear of this loser until he takes business 101 (or maybe remedial 1A).

I APOLOGIZE IF I CAUSED ANY HARDSHIP. AFTER GOING OVER THIS JOB I WAS GIVEN A BUDGET FOR THE CARPET AND WOOD FLOORING ASPECTS OF THE INSTALLATION. THE CLIENT HAD TOLD ME THAT HE HAD ALREADY HAD A BID FROM BALBOA FLOORING FOR A CERTAIN AMOUNT AND IF I COULD BEAT IT, THEN HE WOULD CONSIDER MY PROPOSAL. AFTER EXHAUSTING ALL MY CONTACTS IN THE CARPET AND FLOORING INDUSTRIES, IT WAS APPARENT THAT THE BUDGET WAS UNREASONABLE FOR THE KIND OF WORK THAT I AM WILLING TO PUT MY NAME ON. I WAS LED TO BELIEVE THAT THE CLIENT HAD ANOTHER COMPANY IN LINE TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT ON TIME AND FOR THE PRICE HE WAS EXPECTING. IF I MIS-UNDERSTOOD I AM SORRY IF I PUT YOUR PROJECT BACK, BUT I DECIDED THAT THIS JOB WAS NOT A GOOD FIT FOR OUR COMPANY. WE PRIDE OURSELVES ON QUALITY CRAFTSMANSHIP AND WOULD RATHER NOT DO A JOB THEN USE CHEAP LABOR TO MAKE A BUCK.
