Excellent. John Hahn, Jr. is always professional, on task, very nice and helpful, also has suggestions for things I can do or try myself to help prevent future issues. I have used them for years to replace my water heater, install shower sprayer, unclog garbage disposal, fix leaky faucets, and other plumbing issues. And, I will continue to use them. I nearly always ask for John Jr. as I know the quality of his work and that he will stay on task.
Description of Work: Replace toilet, also later unclog toilet

Description of Work: I was impressed by Hahn Plumbing's performance and price. When I called about a water line leak in my front yard, Mr. Hahn met with me at my home the same day, and gave me an estimate for the repair, as well as optional sewer line work that I wanted done. The work was performed, with minimum disruption, on the following Tuesday, and I have had no complaint about it.

It went great. They came, saw what needed to be done, built the ductwork in their shop, came back the next day and installed it. Couldn't be easier.
Description of Work: Hahn Plumbing has done work for me on several occasions and I've always been happy with the work. They are prompt, courteous and do high quality work--everything you'd expect from a full-service HVAC and plumbing company. One thing they are not is cheap, but the way I see it, I don't necessarily want the cheapest bidder doing plumbing or heating/cooling work on my house. You get what you pay for, though.

The people at Hahn were able overcome the new problems but recomended a much more efficent unit. The replacement went smoothly and quickly. I was pleased at how clean the space was after the installation,(17 years of dust and goop as under that old unit). It has been about three months now and the new unit recovers in about 10 minutes, uses about half as much gas. The only down side was a quarter size ding on the edge of the top that occured while it was still in the box (??). All in all, I would recomend Hahn plumbing to anyone.
Description of Work: Because we converted our all electric home to gas, we ran into a few problems. Gas water heaters need an outside vent. To go straight up would put the vent through the middle of an upstairs bedroom. A power-vent through an outside wall in the laundry room solved that problem. After many years that waterheater died...simple replacement??WRONG...new time, new problems.

After the Real Estate closing we tried the heat and found it not working, Hahn returned and found the thermostat was defective. Thermostat was replaced. About two weeks later we noticed water running out of the bottom of the furnace. We contacted another company (who had originally installed the HVAC when the condo was built.) since we had no confidence in Hahn. The company quickly found the leak was due to a large crack in the condensate drip pan. The estimate was $1300 to repair it, which we had done. We took photos and submitted them and copy of our paid invoice to the real estate company and Hahn and asked for reimbursement which has been refused.
Description of Work: Hahn Plumbing and heating was engaged by the selling realtor to do a complete inspection and any necessary repairs to the HVAC system of a condo I wanted to buy, in Fort Collins, Colorado, after two engineering inspections indicated issues. I met the Hahn technicians at the property and explained that water had been present at the base of the unit and when I left, they were checking the leveling of the drip pan.Ssubsequently, the realtor was sent an invoice indicating that the HVAC was repaired and in working order.

Called Hahn because they had serviced the furnace before (their sticker was on it), and had installed a new gas hot water heater for us a few years ago. They said someone would be out soon since it was a heating problem. I think they give priority to such calls. John C. arrived a couple of hours later. He tried to re-light the pilot, but was unable to. This led him to conclude we needed a new thermocouple, which he had with him. He installed the new part and everything worked properly. He commented that the furnace burner tubes should be cleaned with a vacuum when the heating season ends and that I could do that, or they could do it for me. He did not quote a price for his work or the thermocouple, but indicated I would get a bill in the mail. I was OK with this since the heat was back on, and I figured it would cost whatever it costs. I expected it would be about $100 total and was pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived for only $75.36 total. I plan to vacuum the burner tubes in a few months.
Description of Work: House was cold when I woke up. I checked the furnace pilot light and it was out. Tried to re-light it, but it would not light. Decided to call in the professionals!

They were awful and terrible. They misdiagnosed the problem. They said it was probably a collapsed pipe based on what another company said. They didn't check it and they dug up about 20 feet of our front yard and 20 feet down. They ended up doing way more digging in our front yard than was necessary if the problem had been correctly diagnosed. They charged us for all that extra work. My husband called to contest the work and Mr. Hahn used an expletive and hung up. The next day we had a lawsuit on our hands. His daughter is a lawyer and if you don't agree with him, he automatically files a lawsuit. We probably paid over a $1,000 more than if the problem had been correctly diagnosed. Their estimate was very good but they ended up doing more work than they had to. We would never use them in the future.
Description of Work: We used Hahn Plumbing & Heating to do major work. They had to dig up our front yard because there were tree roots in our lines.

I went with a larger 60 gal tank vs the existing 50 gallon as I had a jacuzzi tub that I could never use because the old tank never could get enough hot water into it. Hahn located one and could install it the next day. On looking at the old unit they discovered that the air bladder tank above the WH was broken and had filled up with water. The water weight stressed the Tjoint that it was cantilevered off of and broke allowing that solder joint to weep water down the incoming line to the WH. Kahn replaced the air bladder tank, and used a bigger T joint and hung a strap down from the ceiling to support the tank should the tank fail in the future. The work of the install was excellent. They had the necessary parts and I watched the total install and could tell they took no shortcuts and all work looked professional. They cleaned up afterward. I would use this company again without hesitation.
Description of Work: I needed to replace my water heater as it would not light. I also detected water in the bottom and since it was 14 years old even if I replaced the thermostat the water heater (WH) would probably go bad soon anyway and plus there was the water detected on the bottom. I wanted Rheem water heater as they were the only one I could find that used a brass valve at the bottom for draining the tank easily (vs plastic I had seen on GE, Whirlpool, and AO Smith). My old Slate WH had plastic and it was so fragile I was afraid to use it to drain the tank all those years.

Used Angie's list.to locate top-rated plumber. Called around 9 am for service based on Angie's good rating. Office said someone could be there before noon. Within 5 minutes rec'd a call back saying someone had just finished a job in the area and would arrive in about 10-15 minutes. Plumber (John Hahn) was here by 9:30 am. Showed him the master shower that was leaking into the basement. And while he was here, also asked him to check the temp setting on the guest bath, plus look at a crack in the toilet bowl of the guest toilet. John was very accommodating since I had only called about the master shower leak. He adjusted the temp on the guest shower/bath and looked at the toilet in there. He called around to get some info on a replacement toilet (he provided a quote before he left). He then checked the master shower and pulled the drain cover off. He found a large accummulation of hair in the drain that he cleaned out. Then he checked in the basement to see where the leakage was occurring. He came back up and said there was a very small piece of grout that had worn away by the drain. He used some clear silicone sealant around the shower drain and asked us to wait 24 hrs to use the shower. First use of shower was the following evening and ta-dah there was no water leaking into the basement. Looks like he got it fixed!! Bottom line: Awesome, quick service!!
Description of Work: Sealed leak around master shower drain (was leaking into basement). Removed hair accummulation from master shower drain. Adjusted water temp on guest shower/bath.

When I called Hahn Plumbing and Heating Ken, the plumber, answered and said he would come directly. He arrived in about 20 minutes and went to work. My husband knew the location of the break and Ken cut a hole in the drywall and repaired the break in the line. He was here about 1 1/2 hour and seemed to be diligent about doing the job. It cost about $350, I don't have anything to compare those costs with, but would guess for a weekend call it was correct.

After the company that initially installed my air-conditioner tried to sell us a new system, after only 6 years, claiming I had a faulty compressor, I called Hahn. Both times I called, the gentlement on the phone tried to provide me with a few more things to check to avoid a repair visit. After looking into the system as far as I was comfortable, I called them out. The representative arrived at my house and got right to work. Within the first 2 minutes he was there, he identified that the compressor was just fine. In another 7 minutes, the problem of no freon in the system was identified. He looked for a leak, and pumped new freon into the system and the air conditioner works like it is supposed to. All the while the technician was cognizant of cost, and wanted to help us save money. These folks are the real deal, honest, hard working, and professional. The price did seem high, but not anywhere near as much as teh new AC system the other company was trying to sell me after only 6 years of service on something they installed. On the question of price. The prices were quoted to me right up front, and I was given the decision making power.

I wanted to test the desire of possible contractors to do this work so I called about 15 minutes after closing time. The first few went straight to voice mail. Hahn picked up the phone himself, gave me a bid, scheduled a time to come to my house and then did exactly what he said he would do. Excellent experience. The dryer duct was a mess, I am certain he spent more time on that than he thought he would.
