this is the second time I have called Tom for help. both times he came out right away and was on time each time. he knows his stuff and takes time to explain everything so you know what is going on. he works quickly, is very polite and friendly. his fees are extremely reasonable and competitive. I believe he is very honest, he won't try to upsale you or do work that isn't needed. he is focused on customer service and building his businnes for the long haul verus short term gain. you will not be sorry if you call him.

When I called Garage Gadgetry they set up an appointment for the 3-3:30 following afternoon (this wasn't an emergency, as the door still worked, sort of). Promptly at 3, John showed up. He examined our entire garage-door system and described its strengths and weaknesses (to provide information, not to try to sell us on having additional work done). In addition to replacing both springs, he cleaned and lubricated the mechanism and, without charge, fixed a mechanical problem with one of the sensors. He was very efficient, exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced, professional in every respect, and responsive to questions we had. He also offered some useful advice about how to make the door more energy-efficient (things we can do ourselves, not things we would have to hire them to do). I wish every company we've hired for various things like this had employees like him! We will certainly call upon Garage Gadgetry the next time we need anything done on our door and strongly recommend them to others.

We've used Garage Gadgetry several times over the last 7-8 years. We are happy with the service every time. It finally occurred to me this last time that we need to write a good review because we have appreciated everything about the way Tom does business. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of garage door install or service.

His first available appointment was two days later. He showed up promptly and replaced the springs, then spent ten minutes showing me the workings of the overhead door and how to maintain it. We would definitely hire him again.

I Called Garage Gadgetry and got a call back same day. I made an appt for a couple of days later. Not only was he on time, but a little early and actually called my cell phone because I had a note on the door that said "please don't ring door bell, baby sleeping"!!! Figured out the issue super fast and because it was "minor" he wouldn't let me pay him. I tried too! We will be needing a new garage door opener soon and I will 100% give Garage Gadgetry a call!

Garage Gadgetry was VERY responsive. We contacted them through Angie's List, and they were able to come out and give us an estimate on new door and new door opener. They made it easy! We now have an amazingly quiet door that looks beautiful on our recently updated home. They came promptly and left everything in great condition. We love our new door, and we would definitely recommend Garage Gadgetry to friends!

Great service! Called for information and an appointment on Wednesday, work was scheduled and completed 3 days later. The technician arrived on time and after the install was finished, thoroughly explained the working of the new system, how to reprogram codes, etc.

I called late on Friday about my primary garage door which only went up about six inches then stopped. The owner answered promptly, asked the questions that led to a good understanding of what had gone wrong, the size of the door, and the kind of springs it used. He said the rest of that day was booked, but he could have a tech out at 9 AM the next morning. Precisely on time, the tech pulled up in a company van and evaluated the situation in person, agreed with the diagnosis (one broken helical spring and the other one undersized. The remaining spring was also 12 years old which is a reasonably life span for springs, I told him to replace both at this service call. He advised me that the door and the rails appeared sound, but if the motor was original for the house, then it was nearing the end of its lifespan and told me how to identify the most likely failure mode if the door failed to operate. He explained the guarantee on today's work and had the parts with him. Half an hour later, he had replaced the springs, lubricated the moving parts and checked the door's safety features. I call that a complete job and quick, too. The cost was about what I had expected, so I'm good on all counts with the work, the company, and their customer service.

Tom came out same day and fixed my garage in 30 minutes. This guy is UNREAL, if you EVER need anything done on your garage door do not bother with anyone but Tom. Garage Gadgetry is AMAZING!!!!

These guys are great! The garage door was in disrepair when we purchased our home last year. The safety sensors were loose and the door would often times reopen after closing. I called garage gadgetry and they told me that they could supply the new sensors or they said I could get them for the same price myself on Amazon or eBay. I ordered the new sensors and mounting brackets myself. Garage gadgetry installed them and did a complete tune up to ensure everything was tight, secure, and working properly. They only charged me $40...I was expecting to pay at least twice that much. I highly recommend these great professionals!

Technician was exactly on time for the appointment--that was made the same day; tech quickly narrowed down the reason the garage door opener was not working; went to truck to get new parts and installed them. The door opener is now working perfectly! The technician was very professional, offered use and maintenance suggestions. The work was completed in 30 minutes. Called Garage Gadgetry per Angie's List reviews, everything went exactly as everyone else noted. Called Monday at about 5:15PM and left message, call returned in 15 minutes at 5:30PM. Appointment set-up for next day at 3PM. Worker arrived a bit early and replaced both broken springs in very professional and very timely manner. Without being asked, adjusted door so it would fully close at it would stop just short of the garage floor (something that always bothered me, but something I never got around to fixing). Confirmed all else was working. Removed some odd lubricant previous owner used and relubricated. Explained all to my wife and she was easily able to explain to me. Would 110% use again.

No big details. Tom came and took measurement, ordered the door, and when the door arrived he installed it. It has been great. I would have Tom come back when I needed him.

I heartily recommend this provider! I was very impressed with everything he had to offer. I called him on a Saturday morning at 9:30 and he fit me in for 12:30 that same day! First of all, this provider is available at all times - and when we cannot get our garage door open, we really need help - so the fact that he is willing to make his business available at all times is priceless! He arrived a little early, so is very punctual! His knowledge and professionalism were outstanding. I believe he has been in business for quite a while, and you can really tell because he was able to determine the issue right away, and fix it quickly and efficiently. He not only fixed what was wrong, but also gave the door a general tune-up and now the door is working more quietly, and better, then it ever has! He also told me what to watch out for, how to lubricate the correct areas and what would happen if say, a spring broke. He left me with a door that works beautifully and with a knowledge that I can apply should anything further were to happen to my 19 year old door. And, his price was extremely reasonable! If you hire this person, you get everything you could hope for in a provider. For me, his professional knowledge is the best virtue, and then you add his accessibility, punctuality and very reasonable price, and you have the very best scenario!

I've used Tom in the past and was always impressed by his work. He did not disappoint last Monday. He does good work and his prices are very reasonable.

Tom was great! He worked very quickly and got my garage door operational. He did not charge me for the service because he said that he felt that the door was operational but not "fixed". The only way to fix our door will be to replace it. We will definitely use this company again!

Called on a Sunday, responded Monday AM with a Monday PM appointment. Arrived early, completed quickly. Explained everything in detail. Great experience -- I'll call Tom next time for sure.

Ridiculously well! If all services were like his, the planet would be all the better for it. Tom was quick to respond, punctual, very knowledgeable, and clearly, fully, involved in what he does. Our door was hanging up when it reached a point about a foot above the floor, especially in cold weather. Tom inspected all elements, tightened the chain and the hinges, made general adjustments to the coil settings, (which fixed the problem) then went on to determine our keypad was no good, so he replaced that as well, and for good measure supplied us with a new remote control. He never tried to sell me something I didn't need and his prices were very fair. Above that, he took the time to discuss with me what was wrong, what to watch for next, and generally gave me an understanding of garage doors that was more in-depth than I knew was possible. All this in 30 minutes!

Tom was great. First time he came out, identified the issues, but needed to order a few parts. Once the parts were in, he was back and all of the work was done within a couple of hours. He explained future issues we might have, 5-10 years down the road, and things to look for when those issues may occur. Very informative, and helpful.
