DISTINCTIVE WELDING INC

My husband called the company to explain his predicament. The personable receptionist told him to bring it in and they could do the repair while we waited. She warned us that the parking lot was muddy after the recent rains so I went along to carry in the chair. When we arrived, she called in the welder. He brought it into the shop and he was done in less than a half hour. Very nice folks and we are happy with the work.

I messed up my blade pushing snow and really did not want to buy a new one. Cory and I talked about how to fix it and make it better than original. Got it back the next day. Price was as estimated.

They were very responsive in coming out and giving me an estimate. They were flexible with respect to design. They were willing to do it exactly like we wanted. I was invited to their shop to look at samples of railings and gates. It took them about a month to build it. I think that was understandable since it was a custom built gate and railings. It was about 50 feet of railings and a gate. I was shown examples of gate latches and decorative add-on's for the railings. They even custom built an arched top to the gate with spiers I picked from the catalog. There was only one issue with the product, the gate was made to open to the patio and it should have been made to open into the yard. They did give me the option to reverse it on site but I decided not to change it since I thought it was not a big inconvenience and didn't want to take a chance on possible damage to the railing. I would recommend in the future that the customer go to their shop to look at the finished product before it is painted. I could have caught the gate issue if I had done that. They did a pretty good job on the installation but I don't think the 2 guys that did the installation had ever installed railing on a brick wall. They ended up breaking a bunch of bricks. Fortunately I had some left from the original contruction to do the repair. Some were cracked which I could not repair. If not for the gate and the brick issues, I would have given them an A. The quality of the metal and welding is definitely an A.
