I can't find the receipt right now & I don't want to guess on the price. I do know it beat the other two estimates we got. I do remember that Jason and Darren did a really good job. They laid out our options very clearly when choosing which furnace worked for our needs. Certified Mechanical are very professional and we've been using them exclusively for the past years since we found them on Angie's List. I trust them and have always felt they have my best interests in mind.

I was fortunate that Certified Mechanical could respond within 2 hours of my call for service on AC that didn't work. Darren quickly diagnosed the problem and we were up and running in an hour. All for $68. Another AC company had previously tried to sell me all kinds of unneeded parts and service for more than 10 times that (and refused to acknowledge any less expensive options.) I am so very glad I found Certified Mechanical - honest, reliable, affordable. Honest. So very important that it bears repeating!

The AC unit at my town home (which I rent) was making noises during operation that would indicate expensive repair was imminent. Being that the unit was going on 13 years old, I was not surprised. I searched the Angie's list recommendations for HVAC in our area and Certified Mechanical LLC drew my interest as the first two on list were the big company names in the area of which I'd heard less favorable experiences on from people I knew personally.I also like the fact that Jason is the owner and employee. His reputation and score is solely in his control. Jason came (5-10 minutes early!) and examined the unit in operation. He explained the fact that the areas that were wear out mechanisms were not serviceable or repairable- but replace only- best to wait when not functioning. Fix on fail versus. The unit was performing well, it just on occasion was noisier than other times. He noticed the pad was settled to an un-level situation that could contribute to the noise.He recommended a routine service, clean and pad leveling for a very reasonable price.I came back later in day and the service was completed perfectly and the unit was running smooth and quiet.Also- from time I called- he was able to fit me in in just 2 days.Awesome- highly recommend.

We were provided an informative description of our AC unit operation and options on its repair. We were also provided tips on how to ensure operation of the unit is at its peak of performance, i.e. clean filter monthly, keep at moderate temp. rather than shutting down and trying to cool it off when we are home.Will use Certified as our AC/ Heating service and will recommend them to others.

The job was scheduled for two days. Jason used a larger crew and completed the work in one day.The crew was very professional and efficient. They draped the carpets and cleaned up after completing the work. Jason replaced a 4 wire thermostat wire with a new 5 wire connection (technically beyond the scope of the contract). This will improve the life of batteries in the thermostat. The AC installation required removal of a section of old fence which was replaced exactly in the same condition. I am very happy with the quality and price of the work preformed. Jason's price was within 5% of a low ball bid using an furnace which was discontinued. Jason and his team work is excellent.

Darren came out the day after we contacted the company and he was able to fix the problem that same day. He had to charge the air conditioner with freon and he repaired/replaced the leaky valve. He was punctual and very professional. We were relieved he was able to fix the problem the same day since we were expecting temperatures in the 90's within the following days. :)

They came out the first day and checked out the air conditioner. Then came back the next day to replace the part. They were very nice I would have them come back for any future need on my ac or heating.

Certified Mechanical's service was top-notch! They always returned my calls within and hour. They arrange the equipment and install within a week of the contract. They were clean, efficient and respectful during the installation. The thing that really pushed them to the top for me was their response to the unfortunate defect in one of the units about 3 moths after the installation. I called one afternoon to report that one of the units seemed to quit producing heat. The very next morning Jason was out to run some test, and spent the next 24 hours aggressively working with the equipment vendor and manufacturer to remedy the situation. 3 days later we had a replacement unit installed and ready for the cold snap that soon followed. It was deemed that this was a manufacturer's defect and they(Mitsubishi) warrantied the replacement unit, but would not cover any of Certified Mechanical additional labor required to troubleshoot and install the new unit. I greatly respect the way they did not gripe or complain about this fact, nor did they even mention it until I asked, and they certainly weren't going to charge me for the work. That's as it should be, but in reality hard to find these days. Certified Mechanical is a small, but extremely professional business that stands behind their work. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

Old furnace began emitting CO2 on early Thursday AM, researched Angie's List and settled on inviting this company to examine and repair or replace unit. Chose this company based on high rating and location and installations near my home. Called them about 9 AM, they came at 11:00 AM. Examined and determined that the cost of repair of heat exchanger would probably be about 1/3 price of new unit. We chose new unit, which is Amana. They came the next morning and installed it in 2 hours. Price exactly as quoted. Put down tarps to protect wood floor and carpet. This job piled on other jobs and they did it anyway. Doesn't get any better than this.

I had a CO detector that was going off and was concerned it might be causing my headaches. Jason returned my call immediately. Because I wasn't sure of the source (gas fireplace, stove, heater, and/or water heater) and he did not service ALL of these appliances, he advised me to call the gas company first - that they would come out and test my home for free (I didn't know that). The gas company came out and found no problem with CO but DID find 2 gas leaks on the appliances Jason said he could have serviced anyway. The gas company also fixed these leaks for free before they left...I slept much better that night! So - although I didn't acutally have to have Certified Mechanical out to test, fix, or perform maintenance on anything, because of Jason's honesty and integrity, this will be the first place I call when I do need assistance in the future!

He seemed to be very thorough and really educated about the equipment. He was a nice person to have in the house and there were no worries there. I also chatted with him a little bit about doing a whole house humidifier. He gave the price right at that point and told me what it would be. There was no pressure to go ahead and do it but said whenever I was ready to give him a call. When he left everything was clean and working.

I recently moved into a home built in 2003. When I had the inspection, the inspector found that the furnace & filter were both filthy and recommended I get the furnace cleaned. I called Certified Mechanical and they were here two days later, on time. They did a thorough job and stayed with the price quoted. I am very happy with the service. I am interested in a whole-house humidifier and will call Certified Mechanical when I am ready to install it.

We called Certified Mechanical based on the Angie's List reviews...We previously had another HVAC place out because of their $49 Furnace Tune-up...When they came out, all the repair guy wanted to do was sell me a new HVAC system...So before I spent $10,000+ on a new furnace and A/C, I thought I would get a second opinion on the condition of our current furnace...We just moved in to this house, so we didn't know either way the condition of the HVAC...I wasn't here, but my wife was in contact with me throughout the visit...Looking at the system, he noticed that none of the things that are typically done on a furnace tune up were done by the previous company...He cleaned the system and said the furnace was in pretty good condition and there was no need to replace it...He did mention that the ignitor had failed (other company conveniently said that the ignitor was about to fail) and it would cost $120 to replace with a 3 year warranty...The other company quoted us a price of $383 for just the labor to replace the ignitor...They called it flat rate pricing...He cleaned up everything and even put in a new high quality filter as part of the tune-up...The tune-up was $68 and slightly more than the other company, but well worth it...Rather than trying to sell us a new furnace, he was more interested in what was right for us...We will use them in the future and have them coming back to install a blower in our fireplace...Watch out for those low low furnace tune ups...You are paying to have them come out to tell you that your current furnace is junk and that you should buy a new one from them...

We weren't getting any heat when we turned on the furnace this season. I replaced the fuse and that was about the end of my troubleshooting ability. Jason came out on a Friday and found that the control board was bad, that the gas valve may also be bad but he couldn't tell untill there was a working board in it. I had him tell me about options for replacing the furnace with a new comparable model, 80% efficency, and for a high efficiency model. He left a quote for replacing the board and a comparable model furnace and the literature on that model. He exlained to me that the furnace was nearing the end of it's lifetime, it's 13 years old, and had not been cared for well. Also explained that the model has some odd particulars due to it being one of the first two-stage furnaces. He encouraged my Husband and I to really talk about it and to have my Husband call him if he had any questions. We decided to replace the board for now and get a high effeciency furnace in a few years. He came back on Tuesday and picked up a gas valve in case it was needed, and it was. He made sure he let me know what was going on and made sure I was okay with what the final price would be. The valve was about $320, which he said was Very high but one of those odd particulars to my furnace(yay for me!). He took off the cost of the original diagnosis, which he had let me know at the time he would do. He told me I could probably downgrade my furnace (btu's I think?) since we have 2 in the house because of the way it's set up. Jason was not pushy about maintenance that needs to be done, he let me know what he charges and then told me the #1 thing to do was change out the filter. Which happens to be the cheapest thing too. I will definitley have Certified Mechanical come out to do my furnace service and hopefully keep it going for the next two years, and when it comes time I would be very comfortable with them installing a new unit.

They did the entire job in less than six hours and were there as promised. Price and service after installation was first rate. I am very satisfied and would recommend them to others.

After being frustrated with a major contractor who installed our HVAC system 12 years ago (they worked on it for 1 1/2 years and never got it right), and after reading great reviews on Certified on Angie's List, I called Darren to come and troubleshoot our HVAC problems. After hearing what the issues were, he diagnosed the problems and recommended alternative fixes to solve the problem we'd been experiencing for years. Darren came out less than a week later and completed the work to our absolute satisfaction. He was always prompt, responsive, courteous and neat. We will continue to use Certified for all our HVAC/gas fireplace needs and HIGHLY recommend them. They know their business inside out and are a pleasure to work with.

My son has lived in Fort Collins for the last two and half years. He is a disable veteran and I (his father) try to help him as much as possible while living in Clarksville, TN. He has just bought a house in Fort Collins and hasn't had the chance to network for service providers. He was having air conditioner problems, so I contacted Angie's List to find a service provider for him and Certified Mechanical LLC, Heating & A/C was at the top of the list. My son called them and in 15 minutes they were there. Fixed the problem and charge only the service call minus $8.00. I can not say how much I and my son were impressed with the service and professionalism. It has renewed my faith that there are those in this world that look out for others, not the all mighty dollar. I want to thank Jason from Certified Mechanical LLC and Angie's List for outstanding service.

We called Certified Mechanical to come out and quote moving our thermostat because it was in an area of the house that made it difficult to control the temperatures throughout (it's 3 stories and just one zone). We also asked Jason to quote installing a second zone, with smart dampers. In inspecting our duct work, he noticed that two return air ducts had never been installed in the basement, so air was not mixing properly. He suggested trying a remote, RF thermostat after the return ducts were fixed, instead of the expense of a second zone, which would have run about $3000. The RF thermostat can control the air conditioning and heat from any room in the house. I thought his quote was quite reasonable and we still had the option of adding a second zone later, if this wasn't satisfactory. Two days after he finished the installation, there's an enormous difference in air flow and a great deal more flexibility in where we control temperatures for the entire house. Jason was very prompt in showing up for the quotation (which was no charge) and to do the work, a week later, when he had obtained the thermostat. The entire job took 1.5 hours and was done professionally and the results seem to justify his encouraging us to hold off on a second zone.
