Alpine Moving Company

Much to our dismay we had Alpine Movers move us from Westminster to Arvada, CO. First off they did not honor the "inventory" taken by their estimator and refuse to move certain items which were specificly stated at the time of the esitate and 'inventory'. For example we stated that our 8x10 plastic shed had to be moved. They moved the sides and roof, but refuse to move the metal frame and braces... We mentioned that all the lawn furniture and everything on the back portch was to be moved - they refused to move the fishing gear and sporting goods on the patio and one lawn chair which was in the yard... Plus too many other item to mention. Thus we had to get someone else to move these items. In the process, they broke the glass in our heiloom hutch and crushed an heirloom stained glass piece. Yes, after about a month they replace the glass. After badgering them for another month the sent a check for the crushed stained glass piece - only to discover that the check bounced for 'Insufficient Funds'. Upon arrival and downloading in Avada there seemed to be a severe lack of motivation and activity on their part. Many items and scads of boxex were taken to be back yard and left - including our personal safe! We were quoted a certain abount but when we got the bill it had been raised $400 (30%) above wheat we were told. When we tried calling about these issues the only person we could get through to was the secretary. To date the bad check has not been cleared nor had we heard from anyone at Alpine Moving about it. It give this shody company a -1 rating. Poor communication. Poor accountability. Very unprofessional.

Alpine moved my stuff from one 2-BR apartment to another. Shawn and Ben arrived on time, worked quickly and efficiently, drove to new place, unloaded and moved furniture where I wanted. They took care to wrap the furniture in pads, even the old rickety dining chairs. They took things (soft goods- bedding, clothes) that was packed in suitcases and garbage bags. I could leave things in the dresser and sideboard (craft storage, no breakables). Nothing was broken. They did not pack anything- I did that beforehand. I did not purchase boxes or other supplies from them. Alpine was able to schedule the move within my time frame. The cost was comparable with other movers (on the low end). Very clear about what they will do and what's included in the cost- both on the phone and their website. I'm very pleased with the service. T

Alpine came out to do an estimate and was very reasonably priced. On the day of the move, they called to let us know that they were running late because they had to rent an extra truck due to a high number of jobs. We had booked over a month in advance so that seemed a bit strange. Once they showed up (about an hour after the planned time) the crew of four men worked very quickly to load up. They had given us an estimate based on a crew of three and didn't charge any extra for the additional person. For the most part they were very careful; however, there were a few minor scratches and dings to furniture and our paint. None of it was significant enough for me to ask for repairs. The crew was very responsive to our requests, placing and rearranging furniture until we were satisfied. The crew wound up finishing in less time than estimated, resulting in over $100 being knocked off the bill.
