The move did not go well. Movers arrived 30 minutes early - not give me enough time to seal all of the boxes (moving from my ex-wife's house, didn't have prior access to finish packing). Movers assured me this wasn't a problem. Loading seemed to go smoothly - although I cautioned the movers about placing 2 large jars of change (silly of me to move money...) on an antique hall tree, but they assured me it would be safe & secure. Despite leaving 10 minutes before me, movers arrived (60-mile drive) 45 minutes after me - claiming they needed to buy gas (even though this was their first stop of the day). End result, hall tree damaged, but movers claimed no jars of money were moved (they're missing). Several boxes missing - total lost value about $1,500 plus irreplaceable personal items. PD report filed: 1 mover has several outstanding felony warrants and no valid drivers license (Fort Collins case #08-827). 2 Men finally sent check for $500 and I lost energy for the fight.
Description of Work: Movers picked up furnishings and clothing from a house (my ex-wife's house) in Fort Collins, Colo., and moved them to my new home in Englewood, Colo. The move was started and completed on Jan. 8, 2008.
