As the director of a non-profit organization in a small town, I know how unusual it is to find such a capable, knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt technician to come and help with unwelcome “visitors” to your property. We could not have asked for a better experience in dealing with an ant invasion, along with skunks and racoons burrowing under our buildings. Gerrod was always pleasant to deal with and diligent to explain the procedures and costs involved. He responded quickly and took care of our problems in a most timely manner. Gerrod (the owner of When Nature Calls Pest Control, Inc) is an OUTSTANDING technician. I have never encountered an individual who is as thorough in his work, takes the time to explain both the problem and the possible solutions, who is so kind, well-spoken, and organized. He's a great technician & a great guy! The backstory: I recently discovered I was having an issue with squirrels nesting in my enclosed eves. I went on the website, requested a call back for assistance. Within the same day Gerrod returned my call and was very professional and answered all questions asked. He fit me into his schedule that day. He has an incredible knowledge of squirrels and other wildlife. He explained everything, inspected the entire roof including walking around the perimeter of my entire home, checking all access points and possible issues. He explained the options and after I asked additional questions, I chose what was best for me. Gerrod was very upfront about costs and additional circumstances when dealing with critters such as squirrels. He left all the decision making in my hands never pressuring me. Gerrod gave me enough information that I felt I could make an educated decision in the course of action we needed to take. We agreed on a plan and he was very efficient and effective in implementing the plan. I can happily say, “IM SQUIRREL FREE”. I could not have asked for a more knowledgeable and competent person for the job. It was successful. Gerrod, the owner was great at what he did. He was effecient, respectful, and knowledgeable. Gerrod also attached roof vent covers as well to keep out pests in my attic.

In my opinion, it did not go well, especially considering that the owner quoted prices over the phone that were well above the usual and customary market pricing for said services and then he had the gall to hang up on me just because I had the nerve to ask a few questions about the procedure. When I called back to ask if he had hung up on me, just to make sure that it wasn't an accidental disconnect, he confirmed his hanging up on me and stated that he was the owner of the company and that he didn't have the time to bother with a lot of questions because he was so busy and overbooked. My answer to that is that if your business is flourishing such that you don't have time to spend with potential business opportunities over the phone, you might consider hiring and training someone to handle your phone business and appointment setting, thereby relieving you of the burden of having to deal with us "annoying customers" via telephone. If you'd like to overpay for the privilege of being chided over the phone, hung up on, and treated like garbage, Gerrod Walker might just be your guy.

Two traps were set over a period of 3 nights. A total of 2 skunks and, inadvertently, 4 raccoons were removed. Gerrod explained the process well and was easy to work with. He is very knowledgeable about handling the animals. He even recommended a way to prevent other skunks from habitating under the porch.

Technician was on time & thoroughly explained the process for removing raccoons & costs involved. Made recommendations for future prevention of entry.

I contacted my veterinarian and a local pest control agency that both referred me to When Nature Calls Pest Control Inc. Gerrod did an excellent job, very professional and did not get sprayed by the skunk. Same day service, too.

It was traumatic as the poor kitty was terrified but all in all it was quick and no injuries to the kitty one nothing was broken in the house during the catch. Very sad day.

Excellent! Gerrod stops by every couple of weeks and checks stations. We don’t have to deal with the nasty critters any longer.

He was on time, was able to get a sheet to cover cage for his safety. He covered cage and maintained composed and carefully lifted cage to remove skunk from our property.

Gerrod was so professional from the start. He took the time, to explain everything to me and answer my questions, the report/estimate was detailed, including lots of pictures, which no other company provided in their estimates – Gerrod is very knowledgeable. I did not end up hiring Gerrod since it would take a lot to seal up our old farm house, instead I chose a company that gave me a low bid (a company that I also use for pest control). But the other company did not finish the job and were not nearly as professional or knowledgeable as Gerrod.
