I put a notice on Angies list on a Thursday night and had a meeting scheduled the following week to do the job overview. Rachel and her team returned twice the following week to help me complete the work before my surgery. It should be said that I was in place where I was sick and tired of living the way that I had been. My mind set of being ready to make changes was a big asset to work. Even had not be as ready as I was, I believe they would have "held my hand" through the process. I also engaged some friends to help during the times when Rachel wasn't working with me to just keep cleaning and sorting going. In a seven day period of time a remarkable amount of decluttering and cleaning was done.
Description of Work: I contacted Rachel Fazio because I had an enormous task in front of me, with a short period of time to complete it. My house was a disaster of accumulated clutter over about a 6 year period. I was in accident and was facing surgery and needed to clear my home in a very short time frame. With very little notice Rachel and her team took on the job and were able to accomplish a huge amount of work. These women were professional, completely non-judgemental, empathetic, and a real pleasure to work with. The service they provide is not some a sales pitch for a closet system and some plastic boxes. It has more to do with helping you change your environment to something you enjoy living in and not something you are embarrassed about. Rachel and her team made the sessions so that I was able make decisions quickly about what keep, give away or throw away. We were able to get my home in great shape in very short period of time. I also noticed that the team was very sensitive to the feelings of the individual they were working with. An example would be when we opened a bag I had in closet with something my father had given me and wasn't ready to let it go. There was no pressure to make a decision so it was easier to decide if holding on was the right thing at this time. We successfully navigated our way through my house and made remarkable progress in just a few days. Afterward, I felt completely engergized because of the huge feeling of relief of not living under clutter. I plan to continue working with Rachel to develop the skills to be able to live in a small space in a more organized manner. This is making my recovery better and, it is making my overall wellbeing better. For the very best organizing company one need look no further than Turning Leaf Organizing, LLC. Owner Rachel Fazio epitomizes professionalism while maintaining a cheerful, fun-loving attitude . Her business ethic is beyond reproach and her attention to detail, both in documentation and performance, deserves a 5 star rating. Her organizing associates, Charee MacDonald (Organize with Charee) and Judith Houlding (Space Editing) mirror Rachel's style and work ethic; as a trio they are nothing short of amazing!For me personally, and most importantly, was the ease with which they dealt with my "feelings" and concern over my disorganized house. I was never intimidated or embarrased, nor 'judged' or lectured-to regarding the state of my life and home. On the contrary, I enjoyed each day that they were here and looked forward to them coming back. The team arrived promptly each day and worked non-stop for the scheduled amount of time, stopping for a mere 15 minutes to eat lunch which they brought with them. Decisions regarding what was being kept, donated or trashed were always made by me, the team never assumed what I might want, they always asked.I highly recommend Turning Leaf Organizing and know, without a doubt, that anyone who chooses to hire this company will be 100% satisfied with the results.
Description of Work: Work was performed and completed to my specific directions: Cluttered rooms and garage area were organzied by sorting through, catergorizing and then either containing (in boxes and bins) the items that I was keeping, or managing items to be discarded, recycled or donated. Recyclable items were bagged and transported to a recycle site. Items to be discarded were bagged and taken to a local dump. Things that were being donated were delivered to a loacal charity. Finally the boxes and bins were moved to various rooms in the house (or in garage) per my direction.Prior to work beginning, owner Rachel Fazio came to my house to do an initial evaluation. Later that same day I received by email a document outlining our conversation, a time-line for accomplishing the project and a cost estimate.At the completion of the project Rachel provided me with a detailed list of all items that were donated and separate copies of receipts for the dump and the recycle center.
